Definitely, awesome food and great service. Ceviche Mixto with a Cuzqueña…very large serving at a great price. All the plated looked amazing!

The ceviche mixto was large! Great mix of seafood and gratuitous amount of it as well. The price was great!
The lomo saltado was very yummy. The meat super tender and delicious. I do wish they would add a few more tomatoes to the mix, but that is just my personal preference.
I was happy to drink a Cusquena which is a nice golden lager and a Cristal. I was disappointed that they do not serve Pisco sour!
They have both indoor and outdoor seating, whihc is nice.
The wait staff work as a team and are very attentive, and friendly!
If I am in the area I will certainly go back there.

Excellent ceviche! Also got the antecuchos de corazon appetizer, and they were not like I remembered them from the many street vendors I bought them from in Peru. Much larger pieces, which meant tougher, and chewier, but mostly not as flavorful. Stick with the ceviche and the fresh jugos were good too!

What happen with the Costumers services in this place? Food still great but my waiter show up once in 45min. not good.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant a few times.
Food is delicious and very tasty. Best of all the taste and quality of the dishes I have had have been consistently yummy. Most of Latino restaurant have the worst servers but here at sabor a Peru the service is decent.
Come and try this place without fear. I have had soup, fish, steak, rice & shrimps, and the ABSOLUTE FAVORITE OF MINE THE JALEA. Buen appetite!

The food here is awesome. Been here several times and they’ve never disappointed. Each serving is huge. We typically order 3 main dishes for 6 people who are greedy and there’s still food left to take home. The price is great.
Don’t come if you’re in a rush because service is on the slow side and the place isn’t that big but always packed.

Very tasty peruvian food, good price and service. You should try the Chicha morada and the papa a la huancaina, the fry rice and the soups.

I had a mixed impression of Sabor a Peru. The environment isn’t great. You’re so close to other patrons they can hear everything you discuss. The food is hit or miss. I ordered the octopus appetizer and it was disgusting — smothered in some sort of purple yogurt. I couldn’t finish it. The chicken fried rice was very good though.
I probably won’t be back. Very disappointed in the entire experience.

My GOD! From the fried rice to the Large plate of fried fish dinner to the whole fried fish, everything was amazing specially for what they cost us. We went back to this place 2 days later after trying it during our 5 day stay in South Florida. Ton of food per order so if you’re on a budget you can probably feed 3 people with 2 dinners, maybe 4. If you’re not on a budget, enjoy and pack for later.

Do yourself a favor and eat here! Great Peruvian food, big menu many options all very good and big portions you can share, very fair for the price you pay. I come here often and enjoy it every time. It’s always full so be prepared to wait for a table.

The food tastes very good butbthe portions are gigantic.
I irdered the rice and vegetables and could only eat a quarter of it.
It was like A Godzilla size portion. I can’t imagine a single human being eating thet much rice.
Then the leftovers had to be split between 5 people the next day.
Also the waitstaff is extremely inattentive.

Just got into town to start my miami vacay and our first food stop was sabor a peru. Worth it! Delicious, delicious, delicious! Ordered the cassava with cheese appetizer and Mariscos with yellow rice and the seafood was cooked perfectly! 100 percent recommend!

Decided to give this place a try because the line is always out the door so I figured it was worth a try. I should’ve really paid attention when I read a number of reviews that read, «the waitstaff is extremely inattentive» because boy could they care less that I was a paying patron at their restaurant. I had to ask for the check not once or twice, but FIVE times… I was starting to think the food was free.
We ordered a ceviche mix to… while good and large it literally only had 3 pieces of shrimp in it. if you want chemise, stick to ordering the regular one no need to up charge for only 3 additional shrimp pieces.
I also had the cilantro and chicken soup, while th broth was good the chicken was rubbery and the vegetables and rice seemed like a flavorless afterthought.
The lack of good service and subpar food has genuinely deterred me from ever coming back here again.

Amazing service amazing food. Fresh and very authentic Peruvian food. Parking is not at hassle, well at night it isn’t. Ceviche de la casa is so delicious and very affordable prices. I got an appetizer which I believe it’s called papa a la huayanue or something like that the sauce on that potato was to die for. No wait time to get seated and the food came out quickly. chi cha morada is an authentic Peruvian drinks it’s really good. My waitress was a sweetheart and made sure we were okay. I honestly recommend it.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! A really GREAT hidden gem in Miami! For great Peruvian this is the spot for sure get there early the lines are literally out the door! But its worth the wait. But Unilocalers get ready to loosen up your pants LOL!

I went with my mother to have lunch, it was pretty empty. We order calamari for appetizer but sadly they said the fryer wasn’t working until 5 min later I seen someone eating calamari, I was a bit upset but didn’t say anything; the food was amazing I just didn’t like their customer service. They treated us like if we wasn’t going to pay the same amount as everyone else. I might not be a millionaire but if I go somewhere is because I can afford it. They did not come not once to ask if everything was okay, mind you IT WAS EMPTY. Over all I will probably go back for take out but never to eat there. I felt so bad and left the waiter a good tip to make him aware that just bc it Doesn’t seem like someone has money doesn’t mean they don’t.

Don’t let the tiny store front fool you, this place is a midtown gem. Super authentic Peruvian food. The ceviche was fresh, the sopa is amazing (highly recommend aguadito de pollo) and the beef saltado is out of this world. Picture beef on fries on rice covered in a savory sauce. It’s a small joint so be aware that it does get pretty packed but the wait is well worth it!

Poor service, not great food. There are a lot other better Peruvian places in Miami, so just skip this one.

This place is super tasty! I started with Chilcano soup then moved in to Ceviche. Food came really fast every thing was delicious and substantial.

Un lugar pequeño pero muy agradable, mi aperitivo fue un ceviche de pescado muy rico y el plato fuerte fue un arroz con mariscos que estuvo muy rico también.
El servicio super gentil, presentable y óptimo. Los empleados son la cara del establecimiento y aqui ellos se veian aseados y con la actitud propia del lugar.
Mi camarero de nombre Gino hizo un excelente trabajo. Gracias chicos!

Totally upset. I order delivery Sunday night. Wait for 1hr and 28 min to get the order. And what I received an extremely salty parihuela .

Great little spot. Always busy and always moving. The service is quick and the food is delicious. Servings are a good sizes at great price, when you consider that the majority of the dishes are seafood. More than likely you’ll have to wait a little bit for a table because it’s always busy, but it’s never a long wait. Parking is available at the parking lot attached to the building. Enjoy!

I’ve eaten at this restaurant many times before, and it is the best authentic Peruvian food in Miami. It’s located down Biscayne Boulevard, not too far from the Adrienne Arsht Center, and I’ve been here for dinner before attending a show in the past. The ambiance is low key and unassuming, but usually, the restaurant is completely full. Generally, it’s loved by locals, and I’ve even seen a Miami Heat player in here before.
For appetizers, if you are willing to try it, the anticuchos de corazon (beef heart) is delicious. The ceviche here is spectacular, and once you try it, it will likely be your point of comparison for ceviche in the future at other restaurants. The ceviche mixto was perhaps my favorite, and it includes white fish, octopus, shrimp, and mussels, all marinated in lime juice. My husband always enjoyed their carne a la parrilla, which is a Peruvian barbecued steak. We usually had our meals with their Sangria. Both the tres leches and quatro leches are traditional dessert options and delicious.
The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous helping of food and quality. One issue, the servers generally speak very little English, so have your iPhones and Google Translate ready. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends, and when I come back to Miami, I’m sure I’ll visit again.

I called for take out, I ordered the shrimp fried rice and to drink I ordered the Mora juice. I have to say Sabor a Peru never disappoints me. The delivery took about 30 minutes to get to my house which is not bad on a saturday night. The taste of the rice was so good, the shrimp are the jumbo shrimp and that one order is perfect for two. The mora juice was really good, it was my first time trying it but sure won’t be my last time. So if you want to order the shrimp fried rice you won’t go wrong. Great great taste :)

Este lugar es muy Rico y raro. La majorida de ellos son Hondurenos, pero cocina Como si esta en Mirra Flores mismo. Muy recommendado y regresare de segurisimo. Tambien su precios estan excellente!

Sure, the ambiance is very chill and nothing to write home about, but at Sabor a Peru, it’s all about the food. We ordered a Ceviche, and a Lomo Saltado, and both were made to perfection. Perfect level of salt and sauce. Perfect touch of lemon zest. Beautiful display of colorful foods with levels and levels of flavor.
If all you care about is the food, then this place gets five solid stars. If ambiance and environment account for a star, then it’s worthy of 4 stars, since tables are cheap, the space has bad photoshopped images on the walls and the parking spots in the back are limited (and because this restaurant is so popular – the parking spots are almost always full unless you get lucky).
But it’s actually refreshing to find a place that is so confident about its’ food, it doesn’t need to show off, or oversell itself on décor. I personally think some people are suckers for décor, and environment, a true hole in the wall is all about the flavors, and this one certainly has food made to perfection. Prices are low for the quantity and quality of what you get.
The service is ok. They have Inca Cola and Diet Inca Cola (for those pretending to watch their weight like me). Always crowded but never a wait for a table. The turnaround is fast and the food is fresh and served almost instantaneously. I can’t wait to come back to Miami and eat here again. The un-​popped fried choclo pieces they offer complimentary to every table are a nice appetizing beginning to a wonderful meal. For $ 35 (before tip), my boyfriend and I shared a Ceviche, and Lomo and still had food left-​over.
Second time here and I always leave wanting to return.

Tried this place for the first time thanks to Unilocal and it is now by far one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants! Went there on a Sunday afternoon and got seated quickly. The place is small so be prepared to wait if you come on busy days.
We started with the ceviche mixto (must have!) and the papa a la huancaina. Both appetizers were on point, especially the ceviche. It was made to order, extremely fresh and the portion is perfect. I also had a glass of sangria, really good and not overpriced.
For entrees, my bf had the lomo saltado and I had the pollo saltado. Talk about a generous portion! Both meats were really tender and full of flavor. They definitely do not skimp out on the meat like most places do. I highly recommend this place if you want traditional and exceptional Peruvian food at a reasonable price. We had a great experience overall and will definitely be back!

If you have an appetite for the best Ceviche in town at a price you will love then come to Sabor a Peru. The servers are friendly and fast!

Came for a quick lunch. Really fresh and authentic ceviche (they use corvina), as well as tasty lomo saltado (huge portion). I really enjoyed their spicy green sauce, it tasted like a mixture of cilatro, lime and a spicy pepper. Cannot give them 5 stars due to being overcharged $ 14 on my bill, honest mistake by the cashier as the ticket was written and added by hand (POS system anyone?) BUT it was quickly fixed and the $ was credited to my bank account the same day. Their sangria is priced better than other Peruvian restaurants I frequent, I cannot wait to try it. I will return soon.

Absolutely memorable.
I come here for my mother like chicken soup. It heals like no other… No Really I tell everyone to get their homemade chicken soup, it’s filled with the love only mothers give to soup… But today I didn’t go for soup, I was craving some Peruvian and decided to bring my whole family to try it out.
Once we sat inside, it started pouring like it only pours in Miami, a homeless lady entered the restaurant, ashamed, wet, and cold. She approached the bar and requested to order food, the kind waitress realizing the situation said: «you don’t need to pay us, we’ll give you a meal. If you could just kindly wait out under the roof… I’ll bring you something out.» I was stunned by the kind gesture and just her whole humble approach to it. The lady sat outside like any regular guest, the waitress brought her a coke and even asked her what her choice of meal was. Considerate, humble and kind.
I watched the whole thing without her even noticing. I thanked her for her kindness and inspired me to be as kind when I own my own business. Homelessness at times isn’t a choice, it’s a consequence we know nothing of, and if one tiny gesture like a meal can make the difference… Well why shouldn’t we help each other.
Sabor a Peru has always been a favorite, but now has earned an extra point for admiration and respect. 100 points for you guys!

Voy con mucha frecuencia a Sabor a Peru, la comida siempre es muy buena, pero tienen un gran problema, el servicio suele ser muy lento, se tardan mucho en tomar la orden, traer la comida y hasta traer la cuenta algunas veces! No se dan abasto… Estos detalles le restan valor a lo mejor que tienen, que es su comida!

Always Good food, the only thing is, you must not go if you’re in a hurry to be somewhere after that. As Sabor guests, we know this when we sit down to eat, we will get great Peruvian food, but we don’t know how long it will take to get served, or if we can pay and leave when we are ready! It’s so worth the wait though, Vuelve a la vida, yuca fries w/​huancaina sauce and the yellow rice are my faves. After 5 times of always getting the same thing, I will try the seafood soup and chaufa de mariscos next time! Excellent juices!!! I always leave very satisfied :) YUM
Oh and btw that Vuelve a la vida is a great hangover remedy if you were out too late doing it up in Miami the night before!

I used to work with a somewhat large number of Peruvians and by their standards this place’s food is very close to the real deal.
They have some flaws, such as service inconsistencies, which I think in part could be fixed by expanding to a bigger location (they get insanely busy), but the food is on point if you ask me. Not one time I’ve had something I didn’t find fresh and flavorful like Peruvian food is meant to be. Actually, there was a time my delivery came with the wrong food item and I ended up liking it more than what I had ordered lol…
I’m sorry for those who haven’t had a good experience, but I’m certainly happy they exist…

I’m so glad I got to try Peruvian in Miami :) I’d say not as good as Mario’s in LA, but definitely close.
My friend and I ordered mixed seafood ceviche and lomo saltado to share. The ceviche was so sour and flavorful! Just the way I like it. My taste buds were crying of joy and happiness haha. I would definitely order this again.
The lomo saltado was pretty good, but my expectation were too high. it lacked flavor compared to other lomo saltados I’ve tried. I liked their green sauce though! It’s not as spicy as Mario’s but more sour, which I liked better. They sell the sauce in $ 3, $ 5, and $ 9. I bought some and brought it back to Denver with me hehehe.
I would definitely come back here when I revisit Miami and my order will probably be the exact same :) too delicious to express in words!

It wasn’t the most fantastic Peruvian food I’ve ever had, but it was a solid attempt. Our party a wide variety of dishes, including ceviche, chicken, rice… you name it, we got it. With an abundance of Hispanic food located in Miami, you’d be hard pressed to go wrong. But competition is tough, and Sabor A Peru doesn’t stand out in any particular way.

This place is one of my favorite Peruvian places on biscayne blvd! Their food is absolutely delicious!!! My go to menu items are:
— yuca a la huancaina
— lomo saltado
— 100% natural passion fruit juice
The ingredients are all so fresh and tasty and the service staff is always nice, fast, and friendly :)
The venue is a little on the small side but the best foods are always found in the smallest places!

Lomo saltado, ceviche and the patatas were so tasty and amble portions to serve three. The fruit juices were also delicious. A great, unpretentious local find. Loved that they serve Inca cola too!

Wuao me quedo comprando comida peruana en este retaurante son amables te atienden bien muy atentos un pescado frito grandisimo y el arroz con marisco que yo pedi satisfecho con muchos mariscos las porciones comen dos personas de cada porcion no le di las cinco estrellas por que el restaurante adentro es pequeño y cuando se llena se siente incomodo pero se la pasa bien lo recomiendo.
