Best chiropractic and Accupuncture in Miami hands down period. I am a regular. Most competent and compassionate doctors, incredibly zen comfort vibe… just the best!

I came into Shin Wellness with 2 herniated discs and a bulging disc. I was basically wobbling around due to my back being so tight. Getting out of bed was hard every morning and so was getting up out of a chair. My wife found Shin Wellness offered a treatment called DRX9000, to help with my back. I setup an initial consultation with Dr Gallego and she showed me a short video on how the treatment works and did a thorough analysis on my MRI. I was skeptical and I have always heard that I would need surgery to alleviate all the discomfort. Long story short, I am so thankful for Dr Gallego and the DRX9000. I am walking normally, no discomfort and I haven’t felt this good in a very long period of time!
The staff at Shin Wellness is amazing! When you walk through that door, you are treated like family. Dr Gallego, Julio, Karen and Maria, thank you so much for your compassion and smiles. I always looked forward to my treatments, because I knew that I would feel better!

If there were ten stars to grant, Shin Wellness would easily qualify. This small group of professionals goes out of their way to look after patients as if they were family. I had two car accidents which left me with various bulging and herniated discs and in constant pain. I have been forced to become open minded with regards to treatment and have tried everything from weekly acupuncture (at other offices), Chinese gua sha, botox for migraines and a myriad of specialists to include various neurologists and pain management practitioners. I have been prescribed way more medications than I can recall. I have also been to many great chiropractors throughout the years but Dr. Gallego has BY FAR been the most effective in treating my pain! Dr. Gallego and her team have made all the difference with their precise and persistent approach. I am not a big fan of divulging what I consider to be one of this city’s best kept secrets but also understand what it feels like to not find relief while in constant pain. This place is a gem. I am very grateful to have found them.

I have been a patient at SHIN wellness for several years and i wanted to state what a different experience this has been. The staff are most accommodating and the professionals that work at the office are of the highest calibre. Dr. Gallego who owns the practice, is who I usually receive treatment and she has been a special practitioner that not only excels in professionalism but has become a part of my family — in a sense. She has treated me for numerous conditions that if treated by the medical community would of resulted in troublesome pharmaceuticals or worse yet surgery. The funny thing is that I am a licensed pharmacist who dispenses medications for a living. So if I say this, you can take this as the real truth.
This is a maintenance program for life that if followed will bring you years of great health and well being. This is not some place you attend for one or two times and expect a cure. This is a place for continued maintenance.
The center of Shin offers so many services beyond chiropractic care such as acupuncture, corrective exercise, massage, and many other things. This is a place you can count on as a place as your starting point to good health. Before you venture into a hospital or surgeon; consider this as an alternative. I did and it truly saved me from many consequences.
The center must be profitable but they accept insurance and will work with anyone that has the drive and desire to get better. Any money invested here is a move toward you taking your health as a priority.
All of the practitioners that work here have been screened and vetted carefully by Dr Gallego. I have attended to many of them and have found professionalism and honesty to be a mainstay quality. In this day, you need to be able to count on the trust and honesty of someone who wants to do good.
I thought it was time to make mention of a practice by Dr. Gallego at Shin as she has helped me and so many others

DON’T BOTHER!!! BUY A TENNIS BALL, PLACE IT BETWEEN YOUR BACK AND THE WALL AND MASSAGE YOURSEL!!! This at least will loosen something. I went in for a shoulder issue that had been lingering for a month. They did not take my isurance, but Based on the reviews, I made an appointment and paid out of pocket, sure that i would be cured in the same day or couple of days after at least.
2 visits later, (they failed to mention that the follow up was an additional $ 80.00 along with the $ 260.00 for the 1^st visit) $ 340.00 spent, and i still had the same pain. Diagnosis was i had scoliosis, (shoulder still killing me). After second visit, I was told I can get treatment and possibly correct my scoliosis, for &1800.00, :((((SHOULDER STILL HURTS) Oh i can pay in installments. WTF??? REALLY?
Bad choice on my part to have every step foot in this place. Smart choice, I didn’t fall for the trap. I found a Neuromuscular therapist that cured me in 30 minutes for way way way less.
DON’T FALL FOR THE TRAP

This has got to be the best wellness center in all of Miami! I am so happy to have stumbled upon this place. I googled best chiropractors in Miami and SHIN wellness popped up. I took a chance and made an appt. The place is stunning, staff is professional and kind, Dr. Flores (chiropractor) is knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and in my opinion, he’s so diverse in his treatments. He did so many new things to me that no other chiropractor has ever done before. I was amazed at his little tricks of the trade that quickly got my neck and back together. He took the time to assess my situation in multiple ways and then treated me based on my actual issues rather than just hooking me up to a tens unit and then cracking my body like other chiropractors have done to me in the past. He’s way ahead of the game and I am confident that I’m in great hands. I honestly feel like I could not have gotten better treatment anywhere else. This place is about overall wellness. They care about us as patients. I just love being treated at Shin. I’d recommend SHIN to any and everyone. Check out their menu, they have a long list of holistic treatments available.

I have been coming here since my accident. This is a very professional group. From the minute I stepped into the office I knew I was in good hands. Dr Enrique Flores is a dedicated physician and has helped my neck injury. The employees are awesome and always ask me how I am feeling.

This place is the best!!! I could hardly walk when I first came in. Now the pain in my back that was there for years is gone! I will always recommend Shin to anyone I know. Dr. Flores is great explaining exactly what is going on. Also Ahmed the therapist has taught me great exercises. This place has changed my life.

I am so very happy to have found this place after my car accident. The office has parking, the staff answers phone calls, and never seems hectic. The staff is VERY friendly, nice, and courteous. Yasmin only works Mondays but her massages are wonderful. And then there is Dr. Gallego. So nice, patient, and truly cares. She takes her time with every patient. I also tried the decompresion machine and thought it helped the one time I used it. But I am feeling better and better after each visit that I no longer feel I need to make the commitment to that course of treatment and am sticking to regular adjustments. Unfortunately, I have not been able to comment on Chad regarding acupuncture. Everything I have heard is that i’m missing out! SHIN is a WIN!

Once again Shin saved me. I hurt myself doing my crazy workouts in Crossfit and weight training. Somehow they fixed me in one visit so I’m back in the gym. LOVE THEM ALL!!!

I’ve been going to Shin for (yipes!) seven years. Arrived with a 25 year lower back problem and, through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Wendy Gallego and her staff, have not only thoroughly managed that issue (no pain for years) but changed my entire body for the better. Of note is Exercise Physiologist Cyndee Krantz, who is, quite simply, a magician, and able to diagnose your issues with a glance (fixing them takes a bit longer). Also, in addition to various other therapies, I used the DRX for a six-​week period which for me worked as advertised — quite amazing really. These are very smart, caring people who are the most accomplished experts in managing back pain I’ve ever dealt with — and the place is a pleasure to visit. I recommend Shin to everyone.

Shin Wellness is amazing in all aspects! Making an appointment was easy, I was welcomed by the attentive front desk gals with smiles:) Julio the chiropractor assistant was very nice. Dr. Gallego was super thorough and has a kind heart. she truly cares about my wellbeing. After that I had a session with Cyndee where she taught me how to do myofascial release. this woman knows her shit inside and out! I also had a Great opportunity to try acupuncture with Chad (due to a cheap, Livingsocial coupon). He is the Best Acupuncturist EVER, I had these treatments in the past with others but never really felt any relief and I began to be skeptical about it but I gave it one more try by buying that discount deal and in just one session I was pain free the next day. I couldn’t believe it. Chad is like John of God!
Since I am a frequent client there I have been blessed to have met almost every employee there and have to say I have never met so many nice people in one area. They really make you feel like family! I LOVE Shin Wellness so much Fiancé, his Brother and my Friends all get to enjoy what this center has to offer. You will not be disappointed, trust me!

First off, I would like to say that Dr. Wendy Gallego is the antithesis of arogant and self centered or whatever that rude, free ride digging women had mentioned in some RIDICULOUS review she wrote. And hey karen b, you were the one that took it public, not Dr. Gallego, by posting it all here… this is America, if you can speak on it, so can she… we all have the right to speak and damn sure have the right to defend ourselves especially when it involves slanderous, erroneous remarks. Personally I am glad that you will not be back to SHIN, the positive, healing energy that SHIN Wellness exudes does not need to be tainted with any negativity or bad vibes. For those of you that read this post, Dr. Wendy Gallego is the driving force behind the positive attitude and atmosphere. I have NEVER ONCE seen that woman upset, angry, off tilt, rude, arrogant, or otherwise… and she will not accept anything less from anyone that works there from the other Chiropractors, to the masseuses, to Chad B, to the staff at the front desk (Hi guys.), to the Neurofeedback staff, to Cindy, did I miss anyone? I apologize if I did, none the less you will be hard pressed to find one rude person in that office. SHIN Wellness is my happy place…
That being said… I tried to keep this short and sweet but I guess WHEN YOU MEET SOMEONE THAT HAS MADE SUCH AN ENORMOUS IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE AND HAS CHANGED YOU FOR GOOD, AND SO MUCH FOR THE BETTER, it is difficult not to share…
5 years ago I fell to my knees in the shower and could not move or feel my legs for what seemed 5 days, but was probably more like 5 minutes, I was in excrutating pain. That happened on a Friday, a colleague shared Dr. G’s info with me and I spoke to her on Saturday (the office is not open on the weekend so she took this call on her own free time, that alone should be a «RED FLAG» as to the integrity and genuine care she has for people in pain… karen b!), went in for a consult on Monday, MRI Tuesday (she will not diagnose without an MRI, another cheers for making 100% sure she is treating you correctly), went back to review the images and she was spot on. She told me what the deal was before the MRI. Anyway, by that weekend she had already provided me with tremendous relief from pain and immobility. I then worked with Chad Bailey (this guy’s unbelievable, you gotta see him for some Accu, you will not regret it) and Cindy (incredible energy and passion this woman… it’s awesome). Double herniation L4, L5, REAL BAD! no less than 6 – 8 months later I was golfing again, this alone was having life back for me. A year later I did a string of P90X for like a year and a half. In 5 years under SHIN’s care, I have quit smoking cigarettes (23year habit) for 4 years now, quit coffee for 2 ½ years now, I stopped taking Over the Counter meds and Perscription drugs, I am in the best shape of my life at 40, and because of Dr. G and her staff I have been educted on how to take much better care of my back. To say that Dr. Wendy Gallego gave me my life back is the biggest under statement known to man. They put up with alot of my shinnanagins over the last 5 years, I am very active and I like to do crazy things sometimes… Dr. G just nods her head, tells me I’m gonna give her a heart attack and tells me to make sure I come to see her if anything goes wrong…
As far as the «gettting rich» comment posted karen b., I can attest first hand to the fact that pretty much the last thing on Dr. Gallego’s mind is getting paid. As a matter of fact, I truly believe that if she did not have bills to pay and employees that depend on her, she wouldn’t charge a thing. I truly believe tha she has a deep, burning passion to make people better and to make a positive impact on people’s lives. It is a rare and beautiful thing to come across a HEALTH CARE PROVIDER THAT REALLY CARES ABOUT YOU AND YOUR WELL BEING AND NOT THE PAYCHECK. So those of you in pain… please please, please DO NOT take karen b’s advice, rather do the opposite, do yourself one of the biggest favors you can and RUN TO SHIN WELLNESS as fast as you can. They will take care of you. I could go on and on about this but, let’s put it this way… My name is Carlos B, I am at SHIN on a regular basis and you are more than welcome to ask me about any of my dealings with Dr. Wendy Gallego and SHIN Wellness. That woman deserves the highest praise and an award for one of the most amazing Doctors I have ever been blessed to come across in my entire life!!!

I have tried acupuncture just about everywhere — from community rooms to Canyon Ranch. No one beats Chad from Shin Wellness — NO ONE! His method of acupuncture with massage is simply PERFECT!

MORE PAIN THAN WHEN YOU ARRIVE!
I was excited to visit this facility because of all the GREAT reviews I read here on Unilocal about Shin.
My personal experience was anything but GREAT.
First, no one picks up the phone. Constant answering machines… and then they don’t return you call. You have to spend all you time calling hoping someone will pick up.
Then they don’t give you any information about services or prices… they want to check your insurance first. Any they will only except out of network insurances. BIG RED FLAG! This means they only want to con your insurance out of money… out of network so they are not stuck with pre-​negotiated prices as with network providers. And they tell you, no money out of your pocket… so, if you are stupid, they get rich.
They took my insurance info… but never called me back. Possibly because I was not a car accident victim, PIP insurance claim.
I continued to press on. Finally got in. I was going to pay cash and deal with my insurance claims myself.
One visit, OK. Next visit, they caused me more pain than when I first arrived. I thought that maybe you have to get worse to get better… so I gave them another visit. On the third visit, I could not walk or even stand up straight. I had to go to the ER. I was told that what they did to me (treatment) should not have been done.
I never went back.
Now I have received my Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company. I have overpaid and Shin was to reimburse me. I went into Shin with the documents from the insurance company and spoke with Dr. Gallego (owner). What a rude and arrogant woman. She immediately started giving me a 101 excuses, none of which I gave a sh*t on how she ran her business. My only concern was how much I paid and the insurance coverage.
SHE REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME!
I got my insurance company involved, whom wrote to her and demanded that she return the money. I guess she thought about it (having insurance company involved) because she finally returned the money. She never said sorry, I made a mistake. Her arrogant self, wrote a letter stating that it is difficult to keep up with all the insurance rules.
I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THIS PLACE NO STARS… BUT YOU MUST ENTER ONE. SO THIS WHY I GAVE IT ONE STAR.
IF YOU HURT, AND COULD RUN, RUN! RUN FAST AND FAR FROM THIS PLACE.

I don’t think I can stop wearing high heels (maybe one day I’ll be fine with flats…) but for now the torture I put myself through with heels is important. I would be in continuous back pain and probably walk very funny if it wasn’t for Dr. Gallego. She is an amazing chiropractor!

All I can say is UH-​MAZING!!! I’ve never had a massage like this before. The massage therapist Valentina was wonderful and very strong lol I was so sore the next day but it hurt sooooooo good! Can’t wait for my next appt.

Shin Wellness is amazing! My co-​worker had recommended it when I hurt my back earlier this year. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, and the staff is extremely helpful and professional. Dr. Flores (chiropractor) is a miracle worker! I have experienced two back spasms this past year (mostly due to poor posture and the way I sit at work), and each time he has fixed me right up. He even gave me his cell phone number and asked me to call him after hours to let him know how I was doing. This is one of the few places where they genuinely care about their clients… which includes NOT prescribing pain medication. It’s a holistic approach that more doctors should adopt. I have also attended one of Nanci Levine’s free group hypnosis sessions… check out their website and sign up to attend! She does them once a month.
The only down side is that the health insurance plans I have had this year (AvMed and BCBS) do not consider Shin Wellness «In-​Network». A session is $ 75 and it goes down to $ 50 on your tenth visit, so it’s still pretty reasonable even without the health insurance coverage. A great place to go when you are, or hopefully are not, in pain!
