Absolutely a pleasure to deal with. These guys really know EVERYTHING about Volvos from the ‘60s-‘80s «classics» including my ’93 245 to more modern Volvos. I was VERY impressed with just how knowledgable and friendly Rolf (a true Swede) and Chase were. I’ve owned five Volvos 240s and 940s for many years and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the work they performed. They let me know what items needed addressing immediately and those that could wait. Turn-​around was fast and they explained all work done thoroughly. Their prices were very reasonable Super, super pleased I found them!

I took my old Volvo to Swedish Motors over a decade ago and they were always honest, reasonably priced and trust worthy. I had a Prius in between, lets not even go there. I recently bought a used Volvo V70 station wagon and the first thing I did was drive to Swedish Motors and make sure they were still there. (I had lost their number in the years between.) I was thrilled to see Rolf. I love my current Volvo and knew when I found them again I would be in great hands and have that car that would last for as long as I wanted.
Today I brought the car to them to check it out before making a long drive. Once again it has shown me how fortunate I am to have found them. After checking all the fluids, putting air in the tires and telling me my new purchase is indeed a beautiful car, they didn’t charge me anything for their time.
I would never go anywhere else.

I’ve taken my Volvo to Swedish Motors multiple times in the last 5 years. The FIRST time I called them, I had a problem with the gear shift being stuck in neutral. I explained the situation to a guy (Rolf) on the phone. He gave me directions on how to get it out of neutral but I couldn’t get the gear shift override to work.
Keep in mind that this is the first time I called them.
Instead of forcing me to tow it in for 30 seconds of work with a screwdriver that I couldn’t do myself, Rolf offered to stop by and help — I don’t know if I lived near him or what but it wasn’t near the shop. When he got there, he showed me how to unlock the gear shift with a screwdriver so I could fix it in the future, made some friendly conversation, shook hands and then left.
For the amount of sketchy stuff that goes on in South Florida, I was relieved to have found this place. I had to bring my car in again recently. When I called Rolf answered the phone and remembered the whole story, he kept the maintenance very reasonable and the car is running great.
Perfect place to go if you want to avoid getting screwed on repairs.

Rolf and the guys down at Swedish Motors are AMAZING! My car had what was supposedly an unfixable problem but they wouldn’t give up for 2 days until they somehow managed to fix it. Rolf said «I knew there had to be some way to fix the thing,» and he was right. After all the work and determination, the parts and labor were very reasonably priced.
I can’t express my satisfaction with this shop enough without you seeing the giant smile on my face!

When I bought my used Volvo, I was referred to them! What an awesome mechanic shop! They are trustworthy, dependable, reliable and moreover not thieves like most mechanic shops! They will tell you what NEEDS to be done vs. what can wait. They look out for your best interest and that is a characteristic that is needed in all business. They are the best!

These are the best mechanics I have ever came across, period. They have very reasonable charges and won’t try to sell you things you don’t need. Rolf is a very nice friendly Swede that knows Volvo deeply, infinitely better than dealership mechanics.
Their waiting area could use some upgrading, but with the kind of service I get there I will never complain about that. Another small inconvenience is that they don’t work on Saturdays. Too bad they don’t work on other brands, I wish I could get guys like this to work on my other cars.

These guys work on Volvos. They do «Volvo dealer quality» work at literally half the price. Rolf and Chase are excellent to work with. They also don’t try and sell you things/​services you don’t need. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a Volvo.
