The UPS Store

My local UPS store and drop off in The Palms Town and Country mall.
There is hardly no wait time in this store. I’m in and out in less than 2 minutes. They have packing supplies, boxes, and can send out your package for you when you’re done. Place is clean and well kept and staff is friendly and helpful if you have any questions on how to ship and prepare your shipments.

As insurance brokers, we are constantly mailing packages through different carriers: UPS, Fedex, etc. For the majority of the time, the clerks at most of the lications in the Kendall area are very kind, helpful and most will go out of their way to provide excellent service. It’s what sets them appart. Unfortunately, this particular location in the Town and Country Mall is the exception to the rule.
I purchased 3 articles last Friday the 28^th. that I felt would help my boy in his new Algebra and Chemistry classes. When I got home, he was thankful but he informed me that the glossary in each book contained the info that I had bought at this UPS store so he wouldn’t be needing it.
Both my wife and 15 yr old boy went to the store in question and presented the receipt and my credit card for a refund. She was confronted, not serviced, by the store manager and owner, a man named Ron, who proceeded to treat my wife in the most rudest, thoughtless, uncalled-​for manner a businessowner could, least of all professional. He denied and declined giving her a credit, and used the uncanny excuse not to by blatantly accusing her of plagiarizing the documents without a shred of proof or idea or concern, for that matter, that he was slandering her in front of our son! It was all he could do to keep quiet and respect a man who was disrespecting his mom in front of his very own eyes!
Forget the store credit. The damage done goes beyond that. It’s quite apparent that this «man» belittles and speaks to women and children who are not accompanied by their husbands or significant others. Anyone can have a bad day, but as businessowners and rational human beings, we deal with the everyday struggles we face and strive to treat & make our clients feel that they are the reason for our success regardless of the stuff we’re dealing with in our lives. This man has a lot to learn about manners, professionalism and plain-​old courtesy and so, he has not only lost 3 personal clients but a business client that will move on and conduct all their shipping business at and with another UPS store owner who knows how to treat his or her clients in a decent, professional business-​like manner. I feel real sorry for his employees: They have always treated me very well. You have all been warned.

I love this UPS store. The knowledgeable staff gets you out of there quickly. Felt a little rushed, but who cares to linger around when you’re just trying to get a package mailed.
The only real downside is that this location stays open later than all the other UPS stores within ten miles of me, and that only means they close at 7:30 (weekdays). Staying open until 8 would be nicer, but I’ll still take this place over the USPS any day.

This UPS store is absolutely the best! They have a very reliable, friendly, and courteous staff. Furthermore, everyone that works there tries their best to help out their local businesses. If you’re looking for one of the better UPS stores, choose this location. Also, ask for Kirk. He’s extremely helpful!

I go to this UPS store to mail any package I have to send for work. They all remember who I am, greet me by name, and are always knowledgeable and helpful. Our printer broke one day and they printed menus for the store with 0 notice and managed to get them done before our bar opened. In the 3 years I have been going to this store not one package I’ve sent was lost or received in bad condition.
5 stars for customer service, knowledge, and overall experience!

Very attentive staff that go above and beyond, uncommon for any business in Miami. The guys are wonderful and helped me right away, after I had just had a very bad experience next door in USPS. I highly recommend this store. Thanks guys for all your attention and keep up the good work.

Fast, knowledgable, friendly and easy. It was bad enough that I had to go there, good thing they made it stress free. At least I know where to go for the future.

I come into this store only to buy shipping envelopes and packages. The guys here are nice overall but they’re slackers. They always have like one person in the store… so you can imagine how annoying it is to have to wait for them to take care of a customer shipping 10 boxes when all I want is to pay the $ 3-​$ 5 I spend on the small envelopes.
SLOW.

Grrrrrr… nothing makes me more angry than when I call a place to verify they can do something and then when I get there it’s another story!
I called specifically asking if the notary would be there because I needed to get something notarized. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone said «yes, I’m here all day» I specifically asked if he took a lunch or anything and he said no.
So, when I go there today the clerk informed the the owner wasn’t there yet & that he usually doesn’t come in until after 1130 or so (it was 11) So I explained I just called the day before and whoever I spoke to told me they would be here. I think I may have actually talked to the clerk I was speaking with who is not a notary… but I have no clue,
So, I left… pissed off that I wasted my time & drove across town to another store that did notarize my papers.

My feelings for UPS can go either way. In my experience, the service at this location is good. However, I have had very bad experiences with things being shipped via UPS.
Make up your minds people! Either you drop it off at the risk of someone stealing the package, or you have someone sign for it. Don’t do both! I hate going to pick things up at the locations.
The staff in this location is helpful and understanding. I’ve never had a problem shipping things from this store. However, those who I am delivering things to seem to have the same problems I have. I don’t know why it happens at the point of delivery. Is there miscommunication?
All in all, I appreciate the services, especially the tracking system, which is always pretty accurate.
