Established in 2002.

Much of our approach toward business — adding value, seeking out every opportunity to grow and an unrelenting drive to help every client be their best — comes from our foundation as an entrepreneurial organization.

Founded in 2002 by David S. Brixey and Douglas L. Meyer, our firm was formed on the belief that there is a gap in what typical accounting and tax services provide. Many of the national firms won’t spend the time to bring creative and thoughtful planning opportunities to businesses unless they’re the perfect fit for them — the right size and the right revenue. And, smaller local firms typically lack the skill set and experience that a national firm can bring to the table.

We bridge this gap by leveraging our national expertise while focusing on the particular needs and challenges facing everyday businesses. We fill the gap by delivering the services of a large firm with the continuity, creativity and care of a specialty firm.

Business Owner

Doug is one of our firm’s founding partners. He formed Brixey & Meyer with Dave with no clients, but with a dream to give clients a different way of working with their tax professionals. He began reaching out to gain clients and the business grew organically.

In his role as Managing Director, Doug serves as a trusted business advisor to Business Owners, CEOs, CFOs and Boards of Advisors, driving value and accountability in the following strategic areas: succession & ownership planning, strategic planning, owners agreement structures, compensation planning, family business advisory & issue mediation, professional management practices, mergers & acquisition strategy, and family charter implementation
