Alexandra is the best bartender ever. She always serves with a smile. Not the best bar if it was in midtown but perfect for your local bar. Great people and service.

I’ve only been here once, but I’ve already had TWO great experiences. Let me explain… My first time entering the bar was on a late Sunday afternoon. My boyfriend and I had been meaning to check the place out. The venue is small. The name«Club House» is a good fit. There’s a coin-operated pool table in the back, a jukebox and a few arcade games lined up against one wall. The bar is not heavily stocked, but it had the basics. No drafts. I believe cash only. What makes me love the place is the people. When we walked in, we were greeted by just about everyone, both staff and patrons. We hung around for a few drinks. We watched and listened as everyone talked smack to each other, almost nonstop. We were offered free food(served during the football game). We were included in the jokes and conversations as if we were regulars. It felt like my own little Cheers. When we left, every single person said goodbye. This is just one experience. My second great experience actually happened over a year ago. We were walking around the neighborhood and the door of this bar was open as someone stood in front smoking a cigarette. I saw the pool table in the back and got excited. I had been looking for a bar with a pool table in the area and this was the first one(and still only one) I saw. The man standing out front teased me over my excitement. We all laughed, as he welcomed us in for a game… a challenge. It felt warm. We wanted to go back, for the pool table and for him. We didn’t get his name and I probably won’t remember him if I saw him again. But again, the people here…

I will give them two stars because I did not have a «negative» experience here per se. But yes, as Jimbo C said it’s a dim little place. Horse racing was on TV when we stopped in, and the service wasn’t particularly friendly. A few local old-timers were the other customers.

Stopped at this bar thinking ahh neighborhood bar looks a bit run down should be cheap and decent service as theres no one in there but the bartender. Now I can see why this place is empty NO tap beer whatsoever so your forced to buy the tiny bottled ones for 3.50−4.50 or bottom shelf drinks for about 7.00. On the upside they do have a 21st century era jukebox that works and you can always get a seat here since it has no atmosphere but thats about it. Mens room is Nyc subway unsanitary so be warned it may frighten you into thinking your infected with malaria after using it since there is no soap/handwash available. This place needs to be taken out of its misery or taken over by some management that gives a half damn about it. No wonder why I pass by this place on a Fri or Sat night sometimes and its closed at 12−1am. Wrongly named as the ClubHouse this is more like an Out House.
