Sven did a great job on my 1-​bed, high ceiling apartment. I called several painters for quotes; many were 1.5−2x the cost that Sven quoted. He was on-​time, friendly and professional. He even called me mid-​day to give me an update of his progress. I did a thorough inspection and I was impressed with his work. He even painted this gap underneath my cabinets/​above my fridge. Talk about attention to detail!
Overall, I’m very impressed. He worked all day and left my apartment spotless — no splatters. Wonderful job. I’d definitely hire Sven again.

This is the second time I hired Sven to paint my daughter’s apt in NYC. Her bedroom needed painting so I called Sven again. He is the best! Once again he arrived on schedule with his own supplies and Sven is so trustworthy I never hesitated to leave him alone in the apt. He had to work around the bedroom furniture and as u know NYC apts lack space but he did it. Sven removed the window treatments so he could paint all the molding and rehung them! He even fixed my daughters’ wobbley flat screen TV. Then my daughter decided she hated the color too dark and too blue. For Sven that wasn’t a problem … We scheduled for a repaint
which he gladly arranged to do. His prices are very fair I have to believe that he is at least 30% cheaper then most painters.
If I could only get him to come to NJ… But seriously he is the best… you will not
Be disappointed by his work and his professionalism. He is a pro!
PS: the bedroom. Is now a beautiful light grey… Which my daughter loves!

Wanted to repaint only my bedroom but ended up adding a little ”touch” to the whole apartment. It’s really hard to find a good painter for a good price! Recommend!

I needed to have my entire apt painted. Since my landlord would only pay to have it painted if he raised my rent an additional $ 450 a month, I had it painted myself. On a tight budget and going to back to work, I looked to Unilocal to find a reasonable but good painter.
This is how I found Sven. I called, made an appointment, got an estimate and just a few days later he was painting away. Sven is prompt, tidy and an excellent painter. He gave me a reasonable/​fair price and was extremely efficient at painting my apartment.
I would recommend him to anyone looking for a friendly, prompt and efficient worker.
You will not be disappointed.

We found this company through a friend of a friend (So their name «Word of Mouth painting is really appropriate in my case haaah). So pleased with how the things went right from the beginning: owner Sven promptly returned our call, asked all the right questions and even helped us think about the things we wouldn’t have though of otherwise.
The job itself was also perfection: showed up on time, got right to work and finished everything in the time-​frame we were promised (and we were on a tight schedule, he must have worked all night). And of course the most important thing: painting was perfect. We’ve never had professional painters before and used to think that a few splatters on the floor or wall color in the ceiling is a normal occurrence: not when Sven does it! We’ll definitely recommend them to our friends and will use them again to paint the rest of the house once we’ve setteled in and have more time.
