Business Owner

After a 20-​year career in human resources – Natalie founded Essential Elements, a therapeutic massage studio located in Middleburg Heights. She made the career change after witnessing firsthand what massage therapy did for her sister, a nurse who suffered a back injury when a patient fell on her.

The team at Essential Elements includes four professionals – Natalie, along with Manager Julie Silvestro, Lori Perko, Amanda Zerucha, Bridget Hamper, Doug Perry and Jessica Peavy. All are Licensed Massage Therapists (L.M.T.s), not simply practitioners. That means each of them has been licensed by the State of Ohio Medical Board, the same group that licenses Ohio’s physicians.

I’ve been a regular customer of Essential Elements for several years. The attention to your comfort and well-​being by the professional therapists is unparalled. The studio is very well appointed which adds to the physical and emotional comfort of your experience. Skin care services have recently been added to the offering, in addition to several styles of massage, including deep tissue/​therapeutic and thai massage. Each therapist is dedicated to you-​and your unique needs-​from the first moment you arrive. This is the BEST massage studio in the Greater Cleveland area.

I had an awesome experience. I hadn’t gotten a massage in a long time, I can say with certainty I won’t be waiting nearly as long for my next massage.

Unfortunately, I disagree with the other reviewers on this one. I’ll start with the location — it was not easy to find. It was way in the back of a large building and it was only by mistake that I actually found it. When I arrived, I had to sit in my car for 15 minutes because they don’t have a receptionist. I will say that the staff was very friendly, I have nothing bad to say as far as manners and professionalism go.
In terms of the massage that I received, I was less than impressed. I get a deep tissue massage at least once a month. I received a gift certificate here, so I figured I’d try it out (not to mention, they got a high rating on a few sites). I was disappointed. I probably should have asked for more pressure, but I am so used to the masseuse asking me as the massage is happening that it never came up. And it was a deep tissue so I kept waiting for the ‘deep’ part!
I really hope that my experience was not the norm and that others will receive better massages than the one I got.

YAY I was SO happy with my choice of a massage. I received a one hour massage from Samantha and I LOVED it.
First off, this place was really easy to find, right off 71. It was a professional building, right ambiance, soothing.
I was nervous, but their trained staff made me feel very comfortable. They are really friendly and motivated for your feedback. These are people who truly care for your well being and want you to come back.
If you are looking for a GREAT massage, I would try Essential Elements, you won’t regret it!
