Bay State K-9 Kennel

I have a 2 year old Rottweiler named Benji and he is such a huge part of our family! I don’t like leaving my Benji but if I have to I ONLY TRUST Baystate! Benji has had training, boarding, grooming and daycare with Baystate and I would recommend this facility to everyone. Benji is always happy to see staff and loves the owner Mike Citro! The facility is immaculate, temperature controlled, video monitored and safe! The staff is well trained, fair and loves animals!!! Benji is very particular about food and he can’t get enough of Mikes treats!!! Pricing is definitely competitive with surrounding businesses. The training alone is phenomenal, weather your dog is problematic or needs basic training. As a new dog owner I appreciate having the support of Mike and his staff!

Nice professional layout ran by people who are knowable. The owner Mike Citro has many years of experience behind him.

I am on my second GSD and Mike has trained and boarded them both. This is the ONLY place I’d leave my dog. Real, common sense training from an experienced training staff. Safe boarding facilities and people who truly know about dog behavior and care. On-​site grooming by Jess is the best my dog has ever had. If you have a problem/​new dog (especially GSD) this is the place to go. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

Big sign displaying rates says: daycare $ 28, boarding $ 40. My dog stayed less than 24 hours and when I picked him up they said it would be $ 80. They then informed me that each day dog was on site would be a full $ 40; obviously anyone boarding a dog has part of two days, so the REAL minimum rate is $ 80. At the least it was wildly misleading, but more likely a clear case of bait and switch. Super unethical. Would NEVER leave my dog there again and will tell all my friends so they never fall for that scam.
