Although you painted my car last spring, I can’t imagine what it would look like if I took it anywhere else!!! After 1 year my 97 jeep wrangler still looks beautiful!!! You did an amazing job!!! She still looks brand new and shines up like a gem!!! Mark you are one talented paint shop and I’ll be happy to bring you business of friends or family as well as myself! Hope to see you around!

It pains me to write this, and I hope I am the only one who ends up writing a bad review. Connecticut Collision Center used to be Maaco. Owned by the son (Mark) of the man who ran Maaco for years. I had heard good things about this shop from two people before it had changed hands. I brought my 95 Miata in for an estimate on auto body work and a single stage paint job. Mark, the owner — a very nice young man — gave me a good price. He said they do wonderful work and I would be pleased. He told me with a single stage paint job, they don’t take the car apart, and that the paint would only last 4 – 6 years, depending on how I took care of it. I dropped it off on a Monday and on Thursday when I went to pick up my car, Mark noticed that the license plate lights had been painted over, so I had to leave it there another day for them to fix. When I picked up the car on Friday, I noticed that there was white speckled paint on my black top, small blue paint spots on my trim, muffler and a few other places. I also noticed that the rubber on the driver’s side window was white (Mark said it was probably solvent and he would repaint it). I told him I would bring it back in a week. I noticed there were also paint «nibs» on the passenger side and hood. When I brought it back to Mark to clean up, I mentioned the nibs. His first reaction was that he told me it was a cheap paint job and the nibs were either caused by dirt or solvent. He did offer to repaint the car for me, but he said it could happen again, so that didn’t instill a lot of confidence that it would be corrected and I’d have to go without my car for another week. My main complaint with this place was the sloppiness of the job. I also belong to a car club with many owners of older cars who will be needing a paint job in the next few years. If he had double checked the work, fixed the nibs right after they happened and did a decent tape job, my car would have been a nice showcase for his work and new business. They did, however, do a good job on the autobody work, but the paint job was really sloppy. It could be possible he was short on help or lost the good help during the transition. Let’s hope so.
