Fatulli’s Gourmet Bakery & Deli

Janet from Fatulli’s made the cake and cupcakes for my daughter’s baby shower. The cake was beautiful and was delicious! Fatulli’s is clean, convenient and reasonable. Highly recommend! Best peanut butter cookies on the island.

Stopped in briefly for an afternoon snack. The croissant with ham did the trick, and their coconut cookie was divine. A bit pricey, but maybe they’re banking on the wine tasters, who are in the same building, to pay whatever.
There’s lots of seating, both indoor and out. It’s kind of awkward, but the cash registers are on one end of a huge counter, so you =have to memorize your order by the time you get to the cashiers, especially if you want something that’s in a display case and is already made.

Fatulli’s Bakery made our wedding cake and we knew we loved them before, but now we’re obsessed! They did such an amazing job and were so easy to work with. We went in for the meeting and tasting, and tasted three flavors even though we were pretty set on red velvet (our favorite). The three flavors were all delicious, but the red velvet was amazing. We discussed what we wanted which was a very simple design 3-​tier cake. Gave the deposit and signed the contract and that was it! Our florist added flowers to the cake on the day of and when we saw it, we were blown away. It was perfection and it tasted so good! We wanted to freeze the top portion for our first anniversary, but we couldn’t help ourselves and ate half of it before it made it to the freezer! Fatulli’s is one of the best bakeries I’ve been to, we order their desserts for all of our parties and their wedding cakes are amazing. We highly recommend using them for all your dessert needs!

My husband and I ordered two wedding cakes from Fatulli’s (one traditional and a very detailed Red Sox groom’s cake). We were greeted with a warm welcome and loved the atmosphere. Janet was extremely knowledgeable and truly listened to our ideas for designing our two dream cakes. I loved her creativity while also keeping our vision in mind. I knew I would not be disappointed but I was completely blown away when she delivered them and believe me, they tasted just as good as they looked! We also thought her pricing was reasonable for the high quality we received.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR WEDDING INQUIRIES. Called them last Tuesday regarding a wedding cake inquiry. She said the wedding cake person was in a meeting and would give me a call back regarding the inquiry and I could also email them. Well it’s been a week later and no email or phone call back so I called them and sure enough the wedding cake maker was in another «meeting» so I called back an hour later. Janet was extremely rude and and short with me on the phone. Gave me one word answers to my questions I asked and seemed to be in a rush. she never even looked at my email. I immediately knew this was someone I did not want to work with just by her presence on the phone. She did not seem genuine or even care about what kind of cake I wanted.

Holy Cannoli! Please teach your staff that knocking a tray of cannoli shells on the floor, from ON TOP OF THE GARBAGE CAN… looking around to see if anyone saw it, scooping them up on the parchment paper and setting them off to the side THEN looking around again to see if anyone was watching… fill said shells, is unacceptable. There is no 5 second rule in commercial kitchens.
The lunch was good but I couldn’t help but wonder if my food had been on the floor.

This place just droppped to the bottom of the list. While my lunch was good the big black hair sticking out of my oatmeal raisin cookie was completely disgusting. Not to mention all the flies buzzing around the pastries.

Fatulli’s is doing a lot of things right: great new space overlooking Newport Vineyards, excellent soups and pretty good sandwiches. They just need to work on customer service, and namely, a more organized way to serve a busy lunch crowd. Clearly, the ‘grab a number’ strategy (like you’re at a grocery store deli) isn’t working – I saw people getting visibly frustrated, because the signage isn’t clear.
The service in general seems spotty, which is too bad because it’s a great space and product. Hopefully with a more organized approach, this place will continue to improve and serve as a great go-​to spot for locals and tourists alike.

It’s a good thing this place has such phenomenal food, as their service is abysmal. Came in for lunch today and they were very understaffed. It took 30 minutes before I could even place my order. I ordered a Cobb Salad, and when the server gave it to me she showed me which register to go to to make sure I was checked out quickly. Just as I got to the front of the line, the cashier walked away to take another customer’s order. It took another five minute wait before somebody came back to ring me up. I found myself a table, only to realize that they had forgotten the avocado on my cobb salad. I went to get the avocado, and in the meantime the busperson cleared my table so my silverware and napkins were gone when I got back. The last straw was when I took a sip of my drink and learned that it was iced tea instead of iced coffee. Had the service been good, this would easily have been a 5 star review. Unfortunately, I’m not sure I have the patience to give them a second chance anytime soon.

A nice place to have lunch, but it can get old quickly. The lunch/​dinner specials are good but nothing special. The prices are a bit on the high side for the amount of food served. Recommend trying their delicious chicken pot pie.

Disappointed with salads for my and my friend. The wait staff was slow and uninterested. Did not feel welcomed.

Ordered the Turkey Wrap-​came with no ranch or bacon and maybe a dollop of guacamole. Very dissatisfied with my dry sandwich. Customer Service is lacking as well, very very unpleasant humans working there.

Such a cute café & bakery! Located on the property of Newport Vineyards, this little café is a fresh & delicious treasure. The salads are amazing. If you upgrade to a «Box Lunch» for $ 1.95 you can add a giant delicious cookie & a soft drink. Well worth it.

All I can say is you don’t get a second chance to make a good first impression. Spent the day in Newport yesterday and had a great time. I have passed by this bakery a thousand times and never stopped. I have heard about it thru friends and social media sites.
Yesterday we decided to exit the busy road to visit both the winery and this bakery. We walked into the bakery and no one said hello. Finally a woman came over and asked if we needed help but I got the sense that she would rather close up shop and go home.
We got a few things and were not impressed. The $ 1.65 chocolate chip cookies were very bland and approaching the stale side.
Needless to say there will not be another visit.

New diggs. I wasn’t really impressed. I was ignored and then passed over by another customer it was really crazy. I didn’t want to say anything since I wasn’t in a hurry.
But the way it set up now you really can’t see what’s in the case. I like the old set up when you walked in and walked around everything I’ll give it another shot at some point. I still love there bakery! You can form your own opinion on the new surroundings.

Best lunch in a long time: roast beef sandwich with dijon and alfalfa, a bowl of pasta fagioli, and a bag of salt and vinegar chips. Boom!

Nothing but AMAZING I wasn’t able to attend a bachelorette party and Fatulli’s was seriously so amazing to work with. Great customer service, we talked about theme for the cupcake order and delivery. Amazing service! Highly recommended

Since I work in the area, every once and a while my office decides to treat us to a nice company lunch and usually Fatulli’s is the top choice. From sandwiches to soups and salads, this place always seems to provide us with some delicious food.
What I really like about Fatulli’s is that everything I’ve had from here has always been very fresh. Last time for lunch I had the veggie wrap box lunch. The wrap was a good size and was stuffed full of fresh veggies, plus it had this curried chutney mayo on it which was really tasty. Included with the box lunch was their homemade pasta salad (very simple but also very tasty) and an apple and bottled water. It was the perfect amount of food for lunch.
The other thing that can’t be missed here are their cookies. While I’m not very big into sweets, these things are huge and dangerously good. My two favorites have to be the coconut macaroon and the ginger snap. If you have a sweet tooth, you need to get your hands on one of these!
The prices are reasonable and the food is fresh and just the right size portions. If you find yourself down in the Middletown area, Fatulli’s is certainly worth stopping by and grabbing a bite to eat.

Super nice staff who is ready with recommendations. I had the cream of mushroom soup, which was delicious. I closed out the meal with a chocolate chip cookie cheese cake square… amazing. Very nice bakery/​deli with a casual atmosphere.

Built me a beautiful cake for my wife’s birthday with 24 hour notice.
