Their pink Chai latte is to die for! I’ve never been able to find any other place that can even come close to it! Service is very nice. Small little café, very cute! I tried their green tea latte. It was a little bland so my taste… But like I said, pink Chai latte is highly recommended!

I left a nice review here, but I’m going to have to retract that unfortunately. I went here yesterday around 3 to get myself some hot chocolate and my boss some coffee. The girl that was working was so rude to me and clearly did not care for my business at all! She spent her entire time talking about getting drunk and high with this kid who was sitting at a booth, who didn’t even have a coffee in front of him. When I ordered my boss a coffee the girl just said, «we’re out.» This is a coffee shop, how can you be out of coffee? They don’t close till 6, were you not planning on brewing anymore? She didn’t even offer me an alternatives to coffee. She didn’t ask me how my day was or have any conversation with me! She told the guy that every time she cuts the bagels at work, she hopes she cuts her finger off so she doesn’t have to work here anymore. How inappropriate! I will never come here again and will be taking my business elsewhere!

Mugshots is great! The smell, atmosphere, and service is excellent. I’m more of a tea person so if I do have coffee it needs to be good, as it’s more of a dessert for me. Mugshots coffee is worth it! I usually the Mocha roca or a latte, I like that they have organic soy or almond milk upon request. Their chai is good too, the house chai is spicy and they also have Oregon chai(much sweeter). The rose chai is great! If you like green tea I personally love the matcha latte with soy and I add honey to the cup… it’s a green way to get your fill of antioxidants and way less caffeine!

**Things I learned upon arrival: No WiFi provided and laptops are forbidden. ** Otherwise, good drinks and pleasant, sleepy/towny atmosphere.

Been here twice, and ordered the Americano both times. The espresso was high quality, with beautiful crema on top. This is my preferred coffee shop in Middletown. Usually I make a French press at home, but Mugshots comes through when I’m in a pinch! The employees have been very friendly here. Great job Mugshots!

Wow, this place is a diamond in the rough. We stopped by for a quick brake, got a shot of espresso, muffin and water. The espresso was one of the best my friend has had, the pumpkin muffin was huge and delicious. On top of that the bill was under $ 6. Can’t go wrong here.

I enjoy this café’s atmosphere, drinks and service. They have a larger and more sophisticated drink menu than normal for a small town. The baristas are always pleasant and talkative.

I go here several times a week. I drink chai – not coffee-but everyone says the coffee is the best. They have a no-sugar chai latte(milk, soy, or almond) that I can put my own natural no-cal sweetener in. This place gives a good flavor of the town, as it is frequented by all kinds of folks. And try their aussie bites for 60 cents. Very friendly atmosphere, and yes they don’t have wi-fi anymore. Makes room for those of us that just want to chill, read or talk. Ava K., Middletown

We travel from Cobb Mt to have a coffee here at least once a week… it is the best that we have found in county… Sundays afternoons coffee is the richest that we have found… absolutely beautiful if taste and satisfaction had to be described

I stayed in Middletown for the weekend and had the coffee here 3 times. This is the BEST coffee ever. This shop needs to move to San Diego!

I’d like to give more stars to Mugshots. I like the décor. I like the location. The coffee is good. But it has 3 major problems. The first one is the service. It’s only ever staffed by one person. And since Mugshots prides itself on making sophisticated coffee and blended drinks which require several minutes to make each, service can be desperately slow. I’ve sometimes had to wait over 10 minutes to place my order for a simple cup of coffee. That’s lousy, especially when you’re on your way between Clear Lake and Calistoga, and want some hot coffee on the go. The second problem — at least for me — is that Mugshots doesn’t serve iced coffee. If you order some, they will suggest that you order a regular coffee, and put some ice cubes in it. Sorry, that’s not an iced coffee. That’s hot coffee diluted with ice. It’s weird that given how many other drinks they provide, and given how hot the summers get in Lake County, they would not serve a true, regular iced coffee like any other coffee shop does. And the third problem is that the free wifi is gone. That’s really too bad.

Like the other reviewers this is a perfect lil’ coffee shop because of the cool atmosphere, the organic products, the wifi, and the fact that they serve yerba mate is a definite plus. In addition to those factors Mugshots serves yummy goodies that are still healthy unlike most coffee shop chains that only serve pastries loaded with processed ingredients.(Try the Aussie bites, only 60 cents each!) My favorite thing about Mugshots is that they do not try to be an uptight or snooty coffee shop. Every employee is sincere, easy to talk to, and just really chill in general.
