We went to Calistoga to grab a bite to eat on our long ride home. MAJOR touristy area! Peoples’ reviews of their $ was like break the bank for us. We continued on our journey and the next town was Middletown. NOTOURISTS /QUIET. We ran across this deli. The ladies were incredibly pleasant and happy to be of service. The sandwiches were like $ 2⁄3 cheaper and amazing! We have a very picky eater and there was mac n cheese, chicken strips and corn dogs for her. They had a wide variety of cold drinks, chips, homemade jumbo cookies and sides. There was available seating inside and outside on the patio.

Your traditional American deli, with all the typical sandwiches as well as pasta and salad bar offerings. One first goes to the left and orders a sandwich with the staff people behind the counter, and since it takes a bit for them to create it, one moves to the right, tells the cashier the order and pays for it before getting the item. I tried to order the #10 grilled pastrami with no cheese, which is like the #2 with more veggies, but the woman from whom I ordered interpreted it as the latter(which was reasonable as I probably only said«grilled pastrami» and not the number). Since they are apparently the same price of $ 8.50 and I was pretty hungry, I didn’t mind and just took the #2. The sandwich definitely hit the spot! It looked slim, since the bread was skinny and long, but it was quite dense from being grilled and very filling. I really liked how the bread was crusty on the outside but soft and not mushy on the inside, perfectly encapsulating the meat and sauerkraut. My friends and I were on a day trip up to nearby Clear Lake Park, and this sandwich was the perfect fuel to power me through some hiking and adventuring that the afternoon all the way to dinner many hours later. One suggestion I have is to write the prices on the menu. I was fairly confident none of the sandwiches were exorbitant and I get that it’s tedious to edit the board if prices change regularly, but such information is always helpful for customers. All in all, a great pit stop on a road trip up north.

Prices too high, mediocre service, convenient location, ok inside, nothing unforgettable or out standing when compared to an awesome place like Jimmys in Lakeport.

Amazing sandwiches!!! They are completely over priced and the older lady that works there can be a little rude. Other than that I love this place I recommend the #1 or #15.

I ordered a Reuben sandwich. It was very good and the service was quick. I will definitely be coming here again. In a small town like this, I see why locals come here often

I have been eating in town all week and I must say that these sandwiches are the best in town… Fresh ingredients and friendly service. Try their macaroni salad, it is to die for.

Finally! I have wanted to stop here for lunch for so long. Today I didn’t have any reason not to and I am so glad I did. While I thought I was going to have the bbq tri tip, I wound up having the turkey ruben and much to my surprise it was great. The people were great and I am sure I will be there again soon.

This will become my last stop before heading out to the hot springs nearby. Pick up a sandwich, snacks, drinks, etc. before heading out. Sandwich menu is huge. Lots to choose from, options for carnivores and herbivores alike. Salad bar with a decent per oz. price. and excellent options including mini corn! I had the beef, cheddar, and horseradish sandwich. I had it with brown deli mustard which proved to be an interesting idea. Talk about clear sinuses! But it was all very tasty and they really stuff their sandwiches.

Great sandwiches, great food, great chips, great sodas. My tri-tip was very good, not too fatty, and my wife says her turkey sub was great, too.

First of all any backcountry deli that Guy Fieri apparently is a regular is good enough for five stars. Their single soda and beer selection is out of this world and their sandwich board has something for everyone. While the girls were making my no. 36 entitled The Cindy(beef horseradish lettuce tomato) I was admiring the fresh salad bar when in walks Guy Fieri. The whole place exploded with excitement. The girls were flustered and my sandwich took longer than his but I understand! It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a while. I will returning for lunch on my weekends at the ranch.

Pretty average sandwiches with high prices. Not bad, but not worth it.

I didn’t check Unilocal when entering Middletown but we stopped into Perry’s for lunch before heading to Bogg’s Mountain. I didn’t have high expectations but it’s a sandwich. How can you really mess up a sandwich? What I didn’t expect was a sandwich so tasty that I’d happily stop here any time I was in the vicinity. I got the #1, chicken breast with pesto and monterrey jack, grilled on a sourdough roll. It was so good! Right amount of meat to cheese to pesto. :) Good selection of items to go along with the sandwich and a nice warm patio to enjoy our lunch made for a great fueling spot!

Stopped in with my brother on the way up to Bogg’s Mountain for some shooting. We didn’t want a huge meal but both needed at least something to get us by. Very nice quaint interior. We sat in the covered outdoor area which was nice. Nice selection of menu options as well as a decent bottled beer selection. I got the bbq tri-tip. Excellent sandwich! I ate half and my brother had some of the other half with the pasta salad he got(which he said was excellent as well). I thought prices were reasonable and the service was pretty fast(you don’t want too fast — that means either pre-made or sloppy). I definitely recommend a stop by.
