We are a non-traditional deli serving traditional deli favorites, Southwest specialties, and BBQ. The majority of our menu is made from scratch.
History
Established in 2012.
Shier’s Deli was preceded by Shier’s Artisan Foods operating first from a mobile lunch truck in Colorado, beginning in 2012. A move to back home to Midland in late 2012 saw Shier’s graduating to a fully mobile food trailer serving food at the Midland Brewing Company. Finally, in November 2014, Shier’s Artisan Foods became Shier’s Deli and Catering when we moved to our present location at 2218 N Saginaw Road, in Midland.
Meet the Business Owner
George S.
Business Owner
George is the owner, chef and creative culinary genius behind Shier’s Deli & Catering. He was raised in Midland, and attended Midland High School. He attended Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute in Providence, Rhode Island (now Johnson & Wales University), and later received a degree in business administration from Northwood University. He has been in the food service industry for over 30 years, including working under Chef Michael Tuma at Café Edward and Justine’s in Midland. George takes great pride in the fact that the majority of the menu at Shier’s Deli is made from scratch.
