The Oaks Events venue located in the beautiful town of Midland, NC, offers guests a unique, versatile space for holding wedding ceremonies, receptions, group outings, and fundraising events, in a beautifully landscaped lakeside setting. The Event House located amongst acres of farm land just minutes from Uptown Charlotte, I-​485 and the Charlotte-​Douglas International Airport.

Set back in a quiet countryside setting on a picturesque lake, the venue offers an at home feeling for events with convenient access to major interstates, hotels, dining and entertainment. Guests may also enjoy limited lodging available in the property’s main house complete with outdoor hot tub, billiards room, and a breathtaking view of the property’s 4 acre lake.

The Oaks Events is owned and operated by Michele Boyd, Event Manager, and Stacy Faggart, Event Coordinator.

Our heart and souls have gone into making The Oaks a great place to hold events and weddings. We work hand in hand with our clients to make their event truly special and unique.

Hello All! My name is Michele and I am co-​owner of The Oaks Events! I have 2 children, a boy, AJ, and a girl, Jordan. My husband Aaron has been such a great help with The Oaks and I’m sure he loves me for taking up so much of his free time to help out!

I have become quite the handy-​lady since I’ve started The Oaks — building benches, tables, frames, and signs for the event house (check out my Wooden Sign Shoppe tab to see some of the signs I have for sale!), helping to improve the event house and property (I even helped lay the paver staircase down to the gazebo!) and creating new an exciting ways to make The Oaks stand out. I have truly enjoyed seeing our business grow and can’t wait to watch it grow even more!
