We also offer «LIFT» Facial Acupuncture a personalized non-​surgical facial procedure for reducing wrinkles & fine lines, lifting sagging skin, improving the complexion & restoring a natural youthful glow.

Services: acupuncture, chinese herbal formulations, cupping, auriculotherapy, esoteric acupuncture, eastern nutritional therapy, reiki, Chinese diagnostic face reading (as seen on Dr. Oz) & extensive chinese herbal pharmacy on site.

Our Licensed Acupuncturists (L.Ac.) are Nationally Board Certified (NCCAOM) and state licensed by the Virginia Medical Board with over 20 years combined clinical experience. We established the Acupuncture Center of Richmond to deliver high-​quality, individualized, health care through Oriental medicine. We create a healing atmosphere with compassion, understanding and exceptional clinical care. Our focus is on serving your health care needs, & to support you on your way to optimal well-​being with an emphasis on the prevention of disease. Remee and Monte J.

Business Owner

Remee Gemo, L. Ac & Monte Jackson, L. Ac are Licensed Acupuncturists & hold Masters degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Remee’s specialties are women’s health, cosmetic acupuncture & «mystery» diseases. She often works with women undergoing IVF/​IUI treatments. Remee is innovator of the «LIFT» facial acupuncture method of facial rejuvenation. Remee empowers her patients with knowledge to help them maintain their health and is a skilled diagnostician. Remee is also an instructor of energy medicine and healing arts at the Energy Medicine Center.

Monte specializes in treating body pain, sports injuries, chronic disease & weight loss. He treats a wide variety of chronic diseases such as fibromyalgia, MS, lupus & arthritis. Monte uses acupuncture, cupping & chinese herbal formulas to stimulate and strengthen the the body’s innate ability to heal. He is trained in classical Chinese acupuncture, herbal formulations and postural alignment.

Remee is incredible!
I am new to the area but have been receiving acupuncture treatments for over 10 years. Remee is the most knowledgeable practioner I have had the experience working with my ‘aging body’. She IS THE BEST!!!

I went first to the location on Midlothian and got one session there just to try. I was referred by a coworker. That day i brought a pain package that consist of 3 session of 30 min each. I had this back age and shoulder as well for a month by the 3erd session it was gone and never came back. I recommended the place to my husband who also has a pain on his back same results. After expending money on medication and doctors the result was worth it the price at this place.

I met Remee years ago when I was trying to conceive my first child because I was having some fertility issues. After a couple of sessions, I found out I was pregnant! I now have four children, and I often say that Remee kickstarted my fertility ;-)
I started seeing her again recently for my rosacea, which was pretty bad. I was having a horrible, embarrassing flare up around the holidays, and my home treatments weren’t doing anything. In fact, I think I was making it worse! I asked Remee if she thought acupuncture could help with my rosacea, and she was very confident that it could. After my first treatment, I nearly cried on my way home because I was so overjoyed! My face was so much less red and inflamed, and the burning/​stinging sensation that had been plaguing me was gone. I continued to see her for a couple more treatments, and my face has progressively gotten better and better. She not only stuck me with needles, she also gave me tons of dietary and lifestyle advice. I cannot express how thankful I am that she was so willing to share her knowledge and help me feel more confident.
There has also been another upside that I haven’t even mentioned to her yet – my moods have become so much more stable since I began seeing her this time. My energy levels are more constant, and I feel healthier overall. I’m not sure if it’s due to the acupuncture or the dietary changes I’ve made, but I’ll take it!
If this was TL;DR, here’s the bottom line – Go see Remee or Monte. You’ll be so glad you did!

After being fed up with traditional dermatologists, my husband did a lot of research into alternative medicine before going to see Monte about a persistent skin condition. After only a month of treatment, his skin became noticeably clearer, his mood improved and his overall health seemed so much better.
Seeing the remarkable results on my husband, I decided to go in for a consultation about my irregular periods. I had held out on going the route of acupuncture because of a previous bad experience years prior at a «health spa», but after a year of having to be on drugs to induce a period I was ready to stop taking pills and try it out. Remee made me feel relaxed and was very easy to talk to about my problems. After my first session — it only took one! — I started my period within 3 days. I couldn’t believe it. No drugs and it came on its own.
The «whole“istic approach Acupuncture Center of Richmond takes with its clients is truly amazing. It’s not just a one time treatment to alleviate symptoms, it is a plan to fix the underlying problem through treatments and lifestyle changes (diet and so on). Everyone at the Center are trained and very attentive to you, listen to you when you tell them you are or are not comfortable with a suggestion of theirs and the whole place just has such a peaceful energy about it. I only wish I had overcome my hesitation so much sooner.
