Bombshell Brazilian Waxing & Beauty Lounge Commonwealth Centre

This was my second time getting waxed and my first time doing business with Bombshell. I live about 4 minutes away from the carytown location but I was in dire need of a wax so I ended up getting a last minute appointment with the south side location that is about 30 minutes away from me. The experience as a whole was absolutely fabulous. Riley did my Brazilian wax and she is absolutely one of the most bubbly and outgoing people I’ve ever met. She made a somewhat awkward situation feel like I was just chatting with a friend of 10 years. Always request Riley!

I visited Bombshell for the first time last night for a brow wax with Anthony. It was THE best wax I’ve ever had in my life! Anthony was absolutely wonderful and gentle, and he did an excellent job on my brows! I will definitely come back to see him and tell everyone to do the same.

I have only been twice to Bombshell, once in Carytown and once in Midlothian. Both times were great! I especially liked my visit last week with Kat (sp?). She was great at keeping the conversation going so that I would be distracted from the pain of the wax a little! haha
The staff at the front was very friendly and welcoming. The salon was absolutely beautiful and very tidy. I would definitely consider coming here for a haircut too, as I saw someone leaving with a beautiful cut!
Pricing for waxing was on par with other places for the most part, and Kat did an excellent job. Will definitely return :)

I was searching for a salon because I’ve only just recently moved to VA and left a salon I used for 12 years. You can imagine how hesitant I might be to have someone else color and cut my hair. Well, when I explained to Tara what I was looking for she not only listened, but she heard what I had to say. I loved the outcome, and I know everyone can relate what it feels like to leave a salon happy with the results.

Tiziana did such an amazing color and cut for me! She took the time to discuss what I wanted and fixed what I disliked about my hair. She was very sweet and professional. Her cut was amazing and she really knew how to handle thick hair. My layers look great and blend well. She definitely pays attention to detail. She also gave me great advice on products to keep my color vibrant. Everyone has been talking about how beautiful my hair looks today. I will definitely be going back to her!

I became dissatisfied with the salon I was using for my Brazilian waxing so I decided to give Anthony a try. He was already doing my brows so I was familiar with him. He is always pleasant and easy to talk to. My Brazilian went extremely well as it was quick and pain-​less. I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all and will definitely see him again.

Great place for nails! Super clean, over 60 shellac colors to choose from, and matching polish for toes too. Absolutely loved the staff, very friendly, offered me water twice, help each other out — seemed very non-​drama & professional environment. Sweet girl who did my nails, Krystalisa, was fabulous and super detailed. Will absolutely be back!

Made an appointment to get my hair highlighted for 2:30. When I arrived, I was a few minutes late and apologized. They said that was not an issue and they said the person before me had a color fix and it would be a little while before they could get to me. At 3:10, I finally got to sit down in the chair to start my 2:30 appointment. The girl highlighted my hair & kept saying my color wasn’t picking up and she kept putting more and more products on my hair. She didn’t explain it well so I wasn’t sure what she was doing. Finally after it was washed and I sat in my chair, she was brushing through my hair and it was falling out all over the floor around me. She wasn’t even being gentle. She started crying my hair and it looked
FRIED. It was frizzy and definitely wasn’t my baseline hair. She asked what kind of shampoo I used because my hair was dry. I told her this isn’t how it was at all. She got another coworker to come look & her jaw pretty much hit the floor. She continued to try and put all of this frizz ease and leave in conditioner in, but I couldn’t help but stare at all of my broken hair and the hair all over the floor. Needless to say, there isn’t much you can do for fried broken hair except condition the crap out of it. They didn’t even make me pay! They offered a follow up appointment so I could get a condition treatment. Never in my life would I expect to come in to a salon to feel beautiful after I leave & apparently that’s not an option.
Did I say I was there from 2:30−6pm and I finally just said I have to get out of here. I had plans! I’m tired of her pulling all my hair out! I have never been so miserable at a hair shop in my LIFE!
I came in a few days later to get the free condition treatment they offered. Nice, I guess. However, they gave me a split end treatment. HELLOOO I need that too, but my hair is dry and I need conditioning like they promised. She also trimmed the ends Bc they were split, I knew I needed it so I agreed. (I don’t think I mentioned this was another employee, not the one who Frieda hair the first time) my hair was still falling out everywhere and she was being so rough with it. Wouldn’t you try to be gentle with broken, fried hair to prevent more damage??? Seems like common sense to me.
I got home and looked at the trim the lady gave me. I had an extra long piece of hair that I guess she forgot to cut when she was rushed to get rid of me when her next appointment came.
Let me just say I am glad I never have to step foot in the cheesy shithole again.

I love Bombshell!!! This is the only place I will go to for my bikini wax. The salon is so cute and pink. What girl doesn’t love pink!!! The décor and the scent in the salon is yummy. The staff is wonderful and welcoming and always greet me by name. I have been going to Riley there for over a year and she makes an awkward service so comfortable. The hard wax that is used is amazing and smells great. I look forward to going each month. If you are a novice to waxing or a regular Bombshell is the best… There is no comparison in Richmond. They will make your first experience a memorable one that will have you returning and referring your friends too.

I scheduled a full leg waxing. After the procedure began the technician was kind enough to tell me the hair on my upper legs was too fine for the waxing to work and bumped me down to the cheaper half leg wax.
It was relatively painless and a constant stream of conversation made the time fly by. I booked my follow up appointment as I was leaving.
The front desk was very polite and professional offering me a bottle of water while signing up. They were wonderful at answering any and all questions I had about multiple services.
I was completely satisfied and will recommend Bombshell Commonwealth to any and everyone.

The salon is super super cute. Positive, fun, and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in!
Request for Riley if youre going for brazilian waxing (or waxing in general). It was my first time doing Brazilian and she made me feel at ease during the waxing and definitely knew what she was doing in assessing which waxes to use on me!

I’m new in town and needed to find a new wax place that uses hard wax. I searched on Unilocal and other places and came across Bombshell. When I went into this salon, I was impressed at how clean and friendly the staff were. I’ve never walked into a place of business (non restaurant) and been offered a drink within 5 minutes.
My wax experience was pleasant as was my waxer, Chelsea. She was sure to explain the procedure as well as provide pleasant conversation, which definitely makes things less awkward as a first timer. All in all, I’d go back based on the service and style of this place.

From the minute I walked in I felt completely comfortable and at ease. I was asked if I would like a beverage while filing out my paperwork, although I declined it showed me the salon goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I met my waxer, Amanda at the desk and was quickly taken to a waxing suite. Not only does she have a great personality but she has really great purple hair. :) She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. After about 20 minutes of chatting, my wax was finished. I felt like I was talking to an old friend and the waximg barely hurt. Amanda is now my new permenant waxer, she’s awesome!!! Im actually looking forward to my appointment in January! Thank you Bombshell for such an amazing experience.

I’ve been to this location twice in a weeks time. One was a waxing appt with Stephanie and it was the most painless experience I’ve ever had. We talked the entire time and it seemed to go by quick.
Then I went and saw Tizianne (sorry if that’s spelled wrong) and got a mini hair makeover. I absolutely love the color. While it is a little shorter than what I wanted everyone I’ve seen loves it. Will definitely be going back for waxing and hair services. Thanks ladies!

Excellent waxing experience! They use their own formula that hardens and doesn’t require the extra strips. I won’t say it’s pain-​free but it’s pretty close. I haven’t had any other services, so I can’t comment. Staff is always courteous and professional. Atmosphere is unique.

I am over an hour out of town, and on a Friday called to get a haircut appt and possibly highlights for Saturday July 12.
They only had availability with Tiziana for a haircut on Saturday, so I just booked the haircut. I showed up on Saturday and got started on my haircut with Tiziana, and she asked Joey if she had time to do a partial highlight because I was from out of town and wouldn’t be able to come back until September (and my roots were awful!). So post haircut, Joey put in foil highlights and did a wonderful job. I really appreciated both Tiziana and Joey working to help me out! I always love my hair when I walk out of Bombshell, and great customer service aids in that feeling. They didn’t have to go out of their way to fit in a highlight especially when I knew ahead of time they didn’t have any availability that day for one, but it was a perfect gesture that will keep me coming back! Thanks Tiziana and Joey!

I went to the South Side location since the Cary Town and West Broad Village location were booked for hair services. I’ve been a loyal customer of Bombshell for almost 5 years and always recommend them.
Joey cut and colored my hair. I absolutely LOVE her. She works with you to help you figure out what color and cut will look best on you. She is AMAZING and I will be doing the 45 minute drive to have her continue doing my hair.

Had my first brazilian with Amanda and she was wonderful. As intimidating as I thought it would be, she made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I can’t wait to see her next month!
