Experienced some miscommunication in regards to rebates. I expressed my frustration and was told the contacts could be returned. I shop around with my RX, order a new set, and when I call to ask them to return the boxes they had at the office for me, it was revealed they could have price matched. Ladies, ladies… too little, too late. My only request was something to get me by until the new ones arrived as I had stretched my current/only pair past the point of comfort. Getting that accomplished wasn’t easy, but eventually we worked it out. I suppose I thought I was dealing with the same business I walked into years ago who welcomed in a new contact wearer with patience and assistance(waiting 2 hours for me to «pass the test») while I fumbled with putting in and taking out my contacts. That was a challenging but fantastic experience. I raved over them. I wish I could still.

I wish I could give this place negative stars!!! I went here in March 2014 with a Groupon for an eye exam and $ 125 towards eye glasses. I waited well over an hour past my appointment time to be called back for the eye exam. After spending 2 hours here I left without even getting glasses because I was so ready to go. Now in August 2015, nearly a year and a half later, I’ve gotten a bill in the mail claiming I owe the office $ 125! WHAT!!! I called and they will not even acknowledge the Groupon even though I provided them with the date the Groupon was redeemed, the voucher number and Groupon number. They claim I owe the money.

I love this place. I’ve been going here for a few years now and I feel more like I’m visiting friends than being an actual patient. They are thorough and kind with a lot of knowledge. If it wasn’t for Angela’s help and guidance I would never have tried wearing contacts it seemed so impossible. Now I can’t live without them. I also love the huge selection of designer brands! See you Ladies soon!

Meh. Office manager is incredibly loud. Can make sitting in the waiting room a little awkward.

Didn’t get a comprehensive eye exam for my kids despite paying for it. Eyes not dilated and contact lenses not dispensed even after paying for fitting. Extremely expensive to order glasses or lenses from them even after insurance paid. Have decided not to return. Although Dr. Alsop is patient and friendly, the incomplete eye exam is a concern and the opticians prices will prevent us from returning.

I went for an annual eye exam recently with Dr Alsop, and I was impressed with her ability to explain to me in understandable terms what was going on with my eyes and what to do about it. The eye exam definitely wasn’t rushed and she spent plenty of time with me and was very thorough in checking out my issues. I bought a pair of glasses that trip, and her staff was very helpful in choosing a great new pair. I didn’t use the Groupon because I had(Medical) insurance anyways, and people in the know realize you can get a better deal often without a Groupon just negotiating. Why pay Groupon money extra? I would recommend Midlothian Optometric Center for any vision needs you might have.

Only giving a 1 star because of the Groupon«deal» which was no deal at all. Do NOT purchase the Groupon for this place and only go if you have vision insurance that will cover the ridiculous cost. The staff was friendly and Dr. Aslop was awesome and very competent, but even after purchasing the $ 55 Groupon I was out $ 284 for a total of $ 339. It was supposed to include an eye exam and $ 125 toward a pair of frames. Okay, I can pay for the lenses. Those normally aren’t too bad. I was charged $ 50/lense then $ 75 for anti-glare and another $ 25 for installation. I was given a $ 125 credit for a pair of $ 209 frames. That’s where the $ 84 came from. My recommendation would be go to Sam’s or Walmart then send your prescription to Warby Parker. You can get frames and lenses for $ 95 from Warby Parker which includes anti-reflective prescription lenses, anti-scratch, free shipping and 30-day return. You should be able to get an eye exam and stylish glasses for about $ 200. Lesson learned.

There was a Groupon for an eye-exam and glasses, and since I was there I decided to get a contact prescription as well. The service was friendly and helpful. The doctor got me in quickly and took his time to make sure that the prescription was correct. In fact, he was one of the most thorough examiners I’ve ever had and went back and forth several times to ensure that the prescription was correct. The location is a little hard to get to and they aren’t open on weekends(which is not good for me), but otherwise it’s not too bad an optometrist.
