It’s like a Golden Corral for sushi. Lots of food but pretty low quality. If you got this at any sushi restaurant that wasn’t all you can eat you wouldn’t go back. I’d say it’s a bit better than places like Teppanyaki. The fact that they bring it to your table and prepare it specifically for you gets an extra star. Probably 2.5 stars is more accurate. Just like with Golden Corral — there’s clearly a market for a place like this. It’s just not for me.

All you can eat, made to order sushi! Need I say more? This is not your typical buffet style restaurant. You sit down and order from a menu and everything is included in the price. So you can order as much or as many times as you like. You also don’t have to worry about food sitting out for long periods of time. They have a full menu with appetizers, hibachi, sushi, sashimi, and other entrees. There’s a small salad and dessert bar you can grab things from as well. I’ve personally never had problems with the service and everything comes out pretty quickly. They offer a groupon deal for 40% off sometimes so I’d check to see if they have a promotion going on. Definitely check this place out if you’re near one of their locations!

My fiancée and I love this place! It’s a little on the pricey side however it’s a steal for an all you can eat sushi place! They also have hibachi too! The serving sizes are a bit small but I actually like that because I don’t fill up on just one thing and I get to explore the menu. I highly recommend their volcano sushi roll and their teriyaki chicken. Their steak is also really good for a sushi place! Overall, this place is definitely our go to spot for lunch or dinner when we’re craving sushi! Very impressed!

My husband and I purchased $ 45 worth of sushi to go only to be disappointed when we got home. A sushi roll that was supposed to be topped with eel and avocado only had eel on half of the pieces. My husband called to speak with the manager who was so rude. He asked my husband if he was trying to get something for free which was not the case. He had an attitude. Instead of trying to make it right at first the manager Andy just continued to be rude. We told him we were never coming back and he was fine with that. About 30 minutes later Andy called me and offered to give us a free sushi roll the next time we came but to be honest we don’t want to go back. The flavor wasn’t even that good. So disappointed.

I’m not a big fan of sushi but my husband and daughter are. This system of all you can eat works great for us because they can order their sushi and eat to their hearts content, and I order hot food. Last time I had the salmon and fried rice. Both good. Not only that, but they have so many types of sushi rolls that even I found some that I liked(such as the monkey or Hawaiian). This restaurant is a family favorite. We have been there 4 times and will continue to go for sure.

They just raised the price $ 1.00 and added a bar area for the sushi appetizers and salads also desserts. The sushi rolls are good but sometimes the crunchy stuff that goes into spicy tuna is stale. The hibachi steak is always good but they do serve it with a lot of onions as the vegetable. Service is usually good and if you eat several rolls then the cost is worth it.

I will start by saying that I used to love Sushi King. I mean, it was always a bit pricey but still somewhat worth it. However, recently they have raised their prices way too high and the service has dropped. The last several times I have been in their, with my girlfriend, we experienced very slow service. I got the feeling that they were trying to limit the«all you can eat» deal by dragging their feet on actually bringing courses out to us. One time we did not get but three courses before the place closed. Bottom line is, the food is good but the price is too high and the service has been degrading steadily. I simply cannot recommend.

I was not impressed from how horrible the outside looked, the smell in the bathrooms and the stingy business model. I felt pressured when eating because you have to eat all of your food or they will charge you. The quality of food was awesome but not worth the price of $ 19.99(recent increase). One plus was their wait staff was very attentive. I thought the owners where cheap, the location still looked like old plaza azteca(Mexican resturant). I won’t be back.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday. We loved the west broad location but we knew what to expect as far as issues. Sadly they surpassed what we expected. Our waitress at one point vanished for 20 some minutes leaving my table and three others looking around for her. Food of course as always was very delicious but incredibly slow. Also we found hair in three pieces of separate rolls… gross. Basically the place has delicious food and it will most likely leave you with a food baby. Everything we have tried we have loved(Richmond and las Vegas rolls ftw). Hibachi chicken was actually damn good. But like others have said order a lot all at once because you will wait for awhile for food.

My boyfriend and I come here about once a week. It’s about 40 bucks total for both of us which is a really good price for how much food we end up eating. There’s a notice in the menu that states that if you waste food you can be subject to an extra charge– but even if we don’t finish a LOT of food– we’ve never gotten the extra charge. Food is good. Not as great as say a speciality sushi restaurant where you pay 18 – 20 dollars for a roll but for the price it’s a good quality. Food can come out a little slow sometimes. I guess depending on the time of day you go and what days of the week, but it’s worth it. I’d say the first time you go to be sure to try a bunch of different things and dabble around and find what you like– once you know what you like, you can just order it over and over again like we do :) And like I said, I wouldn’t worry about the extra charge. We’ve wasted whole rolls before(once we ordered some sort of banana honey roll and it was terrible) and we’ve never gotten charged extra. I’m quite a fan of this place and will continue to come once a week or more! UPDATE: Waiter didn’t understand what we ordered(they speak very little English) and brought us a roll that we didn’t like or want. We ordered Richmond. He gave us a vegetable roll. Then when we didn’t eat it– he tried to give us an extra charge. Why should we get charged more when he just can’t understand English? We talked to a manager and they dropped it. But I shouldn’t have had to go through the trouble. Then afterwards, the waiter abruptly brought us our check before we even got to order dessert and refused to speak to us. Deducted a whole star for this experience.

Came here on a weekend during lunch. I think it was about ~18/person. This place is quite a unique AYCE sushi establishment. You order from a menu and they bring it out. I love this concept. I always get a little iffy with buffets where it’s set up and you go up to it, since so many other people are around it, you don’t really know if the food you’re getting gets sneezed on. There is a warning about a charge if you don’t finish your food(I’m assuming that’s if you don’t finish A LOT of it). I recommend ordering like two at a time, and as you’re finishing up order whatever else you want. They also have appetizers and other entrees instead of sushi. The con is the wait takes FOREVER to get the food out. And there weren’t a lot of patrons around during the time we went. Also a lot of the special rolls had mayo in there. And for it coming straight out of the kitchen, the rice was cold): Overall I think this is great and I wish they’d start a business up in the DMV area! The price is overall very reasonable for pretty good quality sushi.

Absolutely delicious. I DONT agree with having to get all you can eat($ 18) because some people aren’t that hungry and just want a couple different sushi rolls but I can’t deny that the food and service is awesome.

Billed as an ‘eat a little at a time and we will bring you more’ all you care to eat place. I felt a bit attacked by the way we were urged to go small. Good for the business model but not so much for the customers. My wife’s dinner –shrimp tempura(good) & chicken(average) was reasonable. My chicken was rubbery and was not seasoned well. The staff was overly attentive and tended to interrupt our dinner. Overall it was not a great experience. We will not be back.

We tried Sushi King for the first time on a weekday, it wasn’t super busy but steady, seemed they were short staffed abit as food came somewhat slow. But that never stopped the wonderful service we received. The concept is wonderful, all u can eat for one low price but order from the menu at the table. We had 4 rolls a piece and some appetizers and we were stuffed. They also offer sake, beer, soda. 42 bucks for 2 all u can eat dinner and 2 sweet teas, with a tip 52.00. Service was great, everyone was super friendly and helpful. This place will be a must go for us and will be repeat customers for as long as they keep up the great quality food they put out.

Sushi King is an all you can eat sushi, but it’s not your average buffet. You can order as much as you want off the menu and the waiter/waitress brings you it. They don’t have just sushi; they also have appetizers, dinner entrees of fried rice, hibachi, desserts and the list goes on. Definitely worth the money and for the price you pay, the food is fulfilling and amazing.

This location is just okay. The food is not nearly as good, but it isn’t bad. The seaweed salad isn’t as flavorful or as tart. The sushi is missing something. The West End location is better. You still get a good bang for your buck nonetheless. If you’ve never really had sushi before, you will love theirs. If you are more experienced with sushi, this place will do the trick to stave the crave, but you won’t be wowed in any way. Try something new each time you go. It makes your visit more interesting. The kani(crab) salad looked really good, and those at my table who ordered it seemed to really enjoy it.

My husband and I thought it was pretty good until 6 hours later when he was throwing up from food poisoning. Later, we googled the place and found out about their many health inspection violations… wish we would have known that before we went. My husband was the only one of us to get sick, but he was the only one who ate raw fish rolls. Not cool. He had to take a sick day from work and is laying in bed feeling drained and dehydrated.

This review involves 2 trips, one very good — one very bad. Visit #1: Sat Night, 35 minute wait as described, fast service, good food, friendly waiter, couldn’t have gone better(except for the wait, but they take reservations, so that’s on me). Visit #2:(My Birthday, a Monday night) Sign on the way in says Free Birthday Cake(unexpected) with 3 day advance reservation.(Aww, while we made reservations, they were one day in advance… No biggie). So we’re seated immediately, place is maybe 1⁄3 full. We place our app order and 1st sushi order. App order comes out after 15 mins, another 10 minutes pass before my date’s sushi order comes out. 10 mins pass and the waiter comes back to take our second sushi order. I ask for my previous order and a Dr. Pepper. He comes by 5 mins later with my Dr Pepper, and 5 mins after that with my first order of sushi. 45 minutes in, I finally got more than a morsel of food. We order the next two sushi orders and a fork. Nothing, he doesn’t return. I ask another waitress to bring a manger over. She presents herself as the manager, we explain how terrible the service has been. She tells us it’s his first day(same line she used for the poor service given to the corner table behind us afterwards describing their waitress). We ask she take over and that I be given a fork. 10 minutes pass and she returns to tell us: «Your food will be right out, What did you order». Are you serious? I lost my language barrier tolerance. I told her in no uncertain terms we are leaving and not paying. I got up and walked out. My wife stayed and paid the discounted check($ 25 /$ 37). WWIII broke out when I found out she paid. Been arguing ever since. Do you think I’ll be back?

Service we had was so-so. Probably a good 15 – 20 minutes to even see our waiter when we were first sat at lunch time(wasn’t that busy in the immediate section.) But going forward after we got our drinks, it wasn’t too bad. Made to order, ALLYOUCANEAT(No buffet here) sushi and hibachi. For a couple lunches, and a couple iced teas between the lady and myself, 29 bucks. Most buffet or «all you can eat» sushi places make me very apprehensive, but this one was pretty tasty. I really enjoyed that you could get hibachi steak, chicken and shrimp options(I got me a steak option) and could combine them with various rolls(I got a few of these, too). All and all, I was really pleased. It’s a great priced sushi option in Midlothian where it’s not going to bust your penny bank. Will definitely come back.

All you can eat! No «watch for sticky fingers and hot breath» buffet! Yes, I’m a fan. Typically I stray away from all you can buffet lines. So when I went to this establishment and saw that it was all you can order and eat…(must eat or they may charge you extra), I was astonished. They have more on the menu then sushi and it’s all in the all you can eat category. The cost is $ 16.99/adult or $ 11 adult for lunch. For all you can appetizer, entrée, and dessert… I would say that’s not too bad. Drinks are not included, but are free refills. The environment is very chill. The staff are friendly and helpful. Before I forget… the mango sushi roll and the tempura shrimp sushi roll were my faves. I also enjoyed the spring roll. Their cheesecake is not like the pic in the menu. Folks, it is literally a cream cheese on top of a sponge like cake(cheese cake). I was looking forward to some crunchy graham cracker crust(as the picture demonstrated), but got caught up in false advertising. So that was a little disappointing. The Cheese Cake still tasted good it was just not what I was expecting. All in all… I would say a place to try if you haven’t.
