The front office staff were great, and I’ve never met the vet yet. The nicest tech ever tested my new dog for heartworms. Test was negative, so they sold me Heartgard and Nexgard. I bought a 3-month supply, and they said I could have an online pharmacy contact them for further refills. Their price on Heartgard is good, but I found a cheaper deal for Nexgard at 800-PetMeds. However, the vet declined to give 800-PetMeds the prescription, saying she would have to examine my pet first. Seriously? You’ll sell me the meds yourself without first examining my dog, but won’t approve my purchasing them from anyone else?

So impressed with this wonderful vet and her staff. She is knowledgable, caring and not in a rush. Takes lots of time to listen and explain everything. It’s awesome having one evening a week and Saturday appointments for those that work weekdays. Really happy we found Dr. Welsh!

I was very impressed with Dr. Welsh after bringing my dogs to two other vet clinics in Midlothian. Her office was the only one that requested any information about my dogs’ vaccinations, birth dates, etc. Not only is she open on Saturdays(working folks will appreciate this, as well as for emergencies on weekends), but is open late one night per week and requires appointments(I can’t sit in the office waiting on a walk-in basis!). She is knowledgeable, thorough, and very pleasant. The office is clean and fairly new. The staff is extremely friendly, and very good with the animals. I am so relieved to have found the right vet to treat my dogs!
