Just your average Asian themed buffet. Been coming here every once in awhile for a few years now and at least it’s consistently just OK. I’ve never had a bad experience, that would cause me to mark it down to much. I always get the Mongolian off the buffet and have it prepared fresh. I’ve never eaten anything else off the buffet besides the teriyaki chicken wings. The Mongolian lacks a little flavor, even when you add the seasoning blend and sauces but it’s OK. Golden palace satisfies a quick Mongolian bbq fix without driving too far from work. $ 9 for the buffet is a hair step though, considering the quality is average.

Not to bad but not going to rush back. Many many great places to choose from around the base. Service ok

I have to put one star or I can’t write a review. Do not waste your money. It’s horrible. Watched them pour new food on dried out cracked noodles and mix in with the fresh. The shrimp which should be served cold was WARM… the Buffett was broke. When we told them about it they picked the shrimp up carried to the soup area and my friend saw them return to the service buffet. I can’t understand how they are still open. This is my 4th time giving them a chance. Never again.

My girl finally talked me into giving this spot a try. I will start by saying I do not do the Mongolian Bbq, so I dont know how important it is for their overall rating. The service was super friendly and all of the workers were identifying customers needs and ensuring you were getting what you wanted. The service was the higlight for me. The buffet portion I use had all of the standard fair you expect. The food was good. It was fresh. It was hot. There was plenty. I would rate higher but nothing was spectacular for me, just good. I probably will not go back, only because the cost was greater than I pay at our normal spot for the same quality food.

Their food is ok. Good service but I’ve had better Chinese. I do recommend the other Golden Palace on Meridian way more than this place.

The food was on the lukewarm side tonight. It’s never hot but buffet food never is. The orange chicken was delicious, but just barely warm. The chicken chow mein was cold and when we told the waitress, one of the cooks brought out more after checking the warming table. Kudos for that! The staff is always friendly, but there is a language barrier most of the time.

This is the best Chinese buffet hands down. There are several choices for the buffet plus a Mongolian grill. The prices are reasonable and the food is always fresh.

This place was highly recommended to me by someone i consider highly accurate when it comes to restaurant recommendations. Unfortunately, i was completely let down. When i first walked in the place looked nice and clean and the staff was nice and accommodating. I grabbed my plate and the first thing i went for as i always do, is the pot stickers. Nope, none to be had. Are you kidding me, what Chinese buffet doesn’t have pot stickers? Not going to lie, that set me back from the beginning, but i still tried to like everything else because i didn’t have the satisfaction i traditionally get from the pot stickers. Did i say they didn’t even have pot stickers? Good god!!! Unfortunately, the rest of the food was not good. Everything felt or tasted old or very bland. Selection was limited. I suspect if you like putting your stuff together and having them grill it, this place might be appealing. Maybe it was the pot stickers or maybe just the hype, but a complete let down. :( :(

Fairly good size dining area, so there is immediate seating. The buffet has plenty of good choices. The waitress does a good job ensuring my drink remains full. Decently priced except if you bring children. They charged full price for my 2 year old daughter including drink. Since my daughter really doesn’t eat too much. I would find an alternative location. Overall it was a great meal and now, I’m stuffed. :-)

Ate there last night. It was awful. Food was not fresh and it has really gone down hill. We go once a year but I won’t be back. It made most of us sick to our stomaches.

Came here for lunch today. Food tasted so-so. Spent 90 minutes afterward feeling like I needed to puke. After that my head was spinning due to all the sodium and MSG in the food. The Health Department should close this place down. Not recommended.

I don’t know why but I think the food at this location tastes better than the other one at S Meridian OKC, even though it’s the same establishment. The thing that I like the most is the Sesame Chicken. That’s the dish that won me over. They have several noodle dishes such as Phở, but don’t expect the quality to be as good as a restaurant that specializes in making Phở. It tasted«ok» though. The waitresses are pretty quick to put a bill on your table. Even if they put it on my table early, I’ll just leave it alone until I’m ready to pay. I think the waitresses hand out the bill early so they won’t forget or something. It doesn’t bother me too much.

Food was good. My problem was coming to our table to ask us to pay for our food before I was finished eating. It was like they were in a hurry to get me to leave because they were embarrassed by me being there at their establishment.

Actually not too bad as far as these sorts of places go. Last visited for a coworker’s farewell, and the place was clean, the staff very attentive, and the food was generally well prepared and had a bit of flavor here and there. With the Mongolian BBQ option available as well and a wide variety of dishes, I had a good enough experience at a place where quantity could easily have trumped quality.

Sufficient is the word that I thought of when I ate here. I didn’t feel like driving far and I wanted Chinese food. Realized this place was close so I tried it out. It’s not the best I’ve had around Oklahoma and it’s not the worst. It’s sufficient.

I don’t know the Asian buffet scene in Midwest City, Oklahoma-but I assume by the popularity this must be high on the list. They have both a soup bar and a Mongolian BBQ bar– and while both are fairly limited in the offerings they prepare the food well. In particular, the somewhat elderly lady manning the Mongolian BBQ is something of an artist. She puts on a good show and is very polite to every customer-even the jackass that was trying to impress his friends by talking to her in broken English and laughing. She used far more diplomacy than I would have. The regular buffet is filled with your standard buffet fare all of it good, but nothing that was outstanding. The sushi selection was very limited and they were low on wasabi, spicy mustard, and had no fresh ginger. The staff that works here were all extremely nice and went out of there way to come visit with my folks-who had been regulars before my Dad got sick. This kind of services goes a long way with me and I will have no trouble giving them my business when I am back that way.

Anyone who thinks Golden Palace is «good» needs to get out and explore more. Yes, they do have the Vietnamese soup(Phở) bar and the«Mongolian BBQ» bar, but both are sad excuses for what they are supposed to be. The buffet is even worse… sorry excuses for American-style Chinese buffet fare. Please, please, please avoid this place! Its pricey for what you get, and I’ve never left there happy. We gave Golden Palace 4 or 5 chances, were disappointed every time, and will never be back. Check out Panda Express across from Tinker AFB(the other side of IH40) if you’re in the mood for Chinese. If you’re in the mood for Vietnamese, check out Golden Phoenix(near Panda), and if you’re in the mood for Mongolian, you’re out of luck if you don’t want to drive 20+ min to the nearest Genghis grill. The only reason I can’t give Golden Palace 1 Star is because the food stayed down, if you know what I mean.

A hidden gem located in Oklahoma City/Midwest City. Unlike it’s much obviously louder older sister located on Meridian, this GP location is much more subdued. I drive past it all the time not thinking much of it, eating at other restaurants in the area and constantly being disappointed. It finally dawned on me that if the other GP is really good then this one must be too. I took my grandma here because she likes low key places where one can have a nice conversation. We definitely had that but we also had a great meal. She’s usually really picky about eating oriental food outside of the home but she enjoyed herself greatly. My grandma left happy and that makes me happy. Good Job GP~!!

Definitely one of the better Asian buffets I’ve eaten at(though I’m not much of a buffet person). Went with the family and we sampled pretty much the whole gamut of the choices(which are extensive). My wife especially loved the place and was ready to go back the next day. That said it is not excellent food. But some times you really want to sample a wide variety, tapas style, and you can you do so here for a very reasonable price and enjoy above average buffet fare. Giving it 4 stars on the buffet scale.
