I’m actually surprised by the mediocre reviews. I’ve been all over Connecticut trying to find the best wings and Archie Moore’s hands down has the best wings. They’re crispy and sauced just right. I wish there was a location closer to me because I love their wings so much! I’ve never been disappointed

Bar food. Bar food. Bar food. Guys — it’s fine. The teen ager loves the wings. I’d like a more spruced up environment, and more lite fare options(me thinks)

we frequent your restaurant and for the most part we totally enjoyed our meals while dining in the restaurant. However why when we get the meal as a takeout order, why does it always come with spoiled mixed greens in the salad? Our usual order is a ton of wings(always awesome) with the salad special(which is a nice portion so we share) the past 3 times the lettuce portion has been terrible, wilted and yellow greens. totally unappetizing! Once i get it, but overtime, not cool!

I’m done with this place. The last time I was here the bartender had the personality of a stale fart and the«grilled» chicken sandwich was made from that spongy mcnugget-like substance. Thy aren’t even trying. Seriously what the fuck happened to this restaurant? To whomever runs this place: Get your shit together or sell to someone who actually cares.

Their blue cheese is absolutely amazing. Nothing like it! Their wing sauce is also very good. If you go here, go for the wings and the buffalo calamari. Pulled pork nachos are also top on my list. The service isn’t always that great and the wraps always come out pretty soggy but if you are looking for a place to get a beer and have some appetizers I would say try it. Outside seating is nice when its warm out just be prepared to wait around a bit.

So I’m roaming around Milford, it’s nice out, and where do I pull in for a pit stop? Archie Moore’s. The smells lured me in and everybody seemed to be having a great time on the deck outside. I think a lot of people end up saying at one point or another that they ended up at Archie’s and just never left. Will it blow you away? No, but it’s friendly here, the prices are good, and it has some tempting bar food on the menu. If you go to downtown Milford, I guarantee you’ll find yourself here at some point, and probably more than once.

Had the Buffalo wings they were good. Macaroni and cheese hamburger and the Gyro hamburger were below average. the waitress we had was all nice till we paid the check. We asked for change back and she got annoyed and didn’t say thank you did she really expect a 30% tip. !!! honestly have had better burgers elsewhere for $ 14 Won’t return

Surprised by some of the reviews. I’ve always been happy with my experiences at Archie’s. I get the wings well done and they are crunchy, spicy, delicious. The blue cheese is out of this world, I could probably eat it with a spoon. Buffalo chicken nachos, buffalo chicken wrap, buffalo chicken dip… too good!!! Also a cool ambiance on the outside deck. I’ll always return!

Archie Moore’s more like Archie Less! Good food great wings and excellent staff… But they are as cheap as you can be. The outdoor patio is lovely seating, but make sure you don’t get a plastic cocktail table big enough for 2 children, you eat with plastic utensils(and not the good quality ones)… The least they can do is provide more Than a ¼ pickle and a few cut carrots with their pricey wings which I was informed they don’t even carry. Iceberg lettuce ruined a delicious burger and it was weird eating off of tiny cocktail paper plates for our apps. Archie please stop being cheap and bring back the greatness you once were.

Buffalo Chicken is what this place is known for. Whether wings, nachos, salad, sandwiches, or wraps. Also great burgers and flatbreads. Outdoor deck too for the summer. Also a nice go to!

They have an outdoor patio and bar. On a Friday night the problem is the parking, not the wait. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a outside table for 3. Mu fiancé spent about 15 mintues driving around the public parking spaces until he ventured a few streets over and found a lot near an ice cream shop. The wings(regular spicy) are very good. I was starving so I can’t give an unbiased opinion. I ordered the gyro burger with fries. It was very good. The bun was a pita triangle and the burger was seasoned with Mediterranean spices and dill. I could taste the dill. There was an homage to tzkiki and sone feta chese chunks. The pickle tasted homemade which was nice. Like a kosher half-sour.

HORRIBLE… and I mean HORRIBLE… service. Here is what we experienced – rude host… just plain old rude. It took 15 minutes to even get water. Waitress complained to us, her CUSTOMERS, about problems at the establishment. We got our food, and it was decent. It took forever to get though. When we asked our server for our check 30MINUTES after we were done eating, we asked her to split the check and said, and I kid you not, «um, really? Do you want to come to the computer and split it for me?» REALLY? You can’t split a check 4 ways? WOW. Caryn R. was our server. This was a ridiculously horrible experience and I will never give this restaurant my business again.

I love their wings. They also have yummy buffalo chicken nachos and buffalo chicken wraps. Fries are cooked well. The beer selection is good. In the summer, eating on the deck with a drink is quite enjoyable.

Archie’s wings have definitely been on a steady decline in the past couple of years. I don’t know if they got too comfortable being known as ~the best wings~, but they’re just not that fantastic anymore. Don’t get me wrong, they’re still tasty, but now I’d say they’re only slightly above average. Disappointing, and I hope this trend doesn’t continue, because they used to have some of the best wings around. The rest of their food is good enough, again, slightly above average but nothing incredible. It breaks my heart to say it, but there are bars in the surrounding area with much better food and I just can’t justify anything more than 3 stars. As far as location, this one is by far the best because of the outdoor patio, but parking can be a bit of a pain. Parking in downtown Milford sucks in general, so that’s no fault of Archie’s. Food is solid, drinks are cold, service is friendly, and their wing sauce is still one of my favorites. It’s good, but it’s no longer one of my top spots for bar food.

Soooo I tried… one more time because I feel like I got gypped for not getting into the hype of Archie Moore’s :( I wanted to love this place, but my pockets and stomach really CANNOT fathom $ 1/wing. For that price, I expect the whole god damn bird! Fudge that… I expect several birds! For the $ 18.98 I spent, I could have bought three WHOLE chickens and fried, fricasseed, baked, barbecued, roasted(you get my drift?) the whole lot of them for less than $ 18.98!!! In fact, the actual total was over $ 20, but the awesome manager realized I got the wrong price from aBootleg website and decided to honor it. Sooooo our, never commenced, love affair is over. I can’t stomach prices like that. Plus the wings were not«slap your momma» wings. They were pretty standard again. I really enjoyed the teriyaki wings, but the honey barbecue were too damn sweet and the traditional were too damn salty. I like my wings to be cooked in the sauce… not poured on after the fact so much so that they leave a puddle in the bag.

I feel bad about giving three stars because I want to give more, but I have to be true to my own personal standards. There’s really nothing particularly special about this place. I ate here with a large group of people. I DON’T HAVEONECOMPLAINT. I also don’t have anything that pulls me to come back. We had the wings and they were GOOD, but I not going to run up and down the streets screaming about them. Maybe I really don’t care that much about wings. I did manage to consume about 12 – 15 wings though so that must say something. We also had calamari which was also well prepared, not too greasy, not chewy, not fishy. Done to expectations. I had the bison burger, which I thought looked way to big to eat based on how many wings I had, but somehow I ended up devouring it, so that must say something as well. Or maybe I was just hungry. I’ve been in the lovely town of Milford for a few days, and I’m starting to think that this place is on par or better than quite a few of the other options in town. So toss a coin about where you want to go. If you come here, you probably won’t regret it.

I didn’t get the whole World’s Greatest Wings mystique of Archie Moore’s. I mean really, a chicken wing is even food? How about most awesome crushed ice? Maybe«Nobody beats our napkins!» So anyway, I went to the wing Mecca of Milford with some friends recently and we got several platters of wings. There were 10 – 12 of us and by my rough math the weight of the platters of wings we disposed of would easily equal the weight of 3 normal sized turkeys. The wings looked like normal wings. There wasn’t a halo over them, nobody found a pearl in any of them. None of our wishes got granted and as far as I know none of us got any closer to heaven(although our cardiologists might call BS on that last one!) They were just fine, as was the service and the ambiance. But the best wings ever? Not a chance. J. Timothy’s probably has the best wings I’ve ever had, followed very closely by Bidwell Tavern. Depending on the day you can get decent wings at Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings but you can also get horrible wings at either place. A lot of folks recommend Sliders but I haven’t got there yet so I can’t say. What I did like about the wings at Archie Moore’s is that they were very consistent. There wasn’t a difference between platters. They were all virtually the same, so I guess if you like them the way they do them, you’ll always like them. I’ve found J. Timothy’s and Bidwell are also very consistent. Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings can vary almost from wing to wing. Anyway, Archie’s was decent. I would go back but I don’t think the wings are anything special. Wings rarely are, though, so I’ll give some of their other items a shot next time.
