Well the food is fine. Prices are fine. For lunch on Friday, DON’T go unless you have LOTS of time. 40 people ordering and 1 waitress and 1 bartender and the cooks can’t handle the load. After ordering, it took one hour to get the food. It’s not fair to anyone to have such a skeleton staff on a busy lunchtime. Shameful.

Fun at By Gollys! I came here Saturday night with a group of friends for karaōke. We did not try the food, we had already ate, but the drinks were good and reasonably priced. Good atmosphere. Karaōke was great! It’s a comfortable atmosphere with a cozy electric fireplace on one wall. Very clean. We will be back!

My story… went to the movies then we went out have a little dinner snack… We like local places. …so we went local. Well… this is a nice local place with friendly staff and good food. However, sometimes the restaurant manager/kitchen supervisor can get upset if food goes back to the kitchen. Comes across as picking that the customer even would dare do that. … Simple order 5⁄5 wings need to go back it was undercooked. Hmmmmmmm … stressful. She came out saying no more 5 \ 5 orders we don’t do that anymore. Really !!! Oh well… PS. I’m a customer not an inconvenience.

It was decent. I ordered a blue cheese burger, which was really good. When I opted for the chips instead of fries I assumed they would be Sara-toga chips made in the kitchen, but It was just a bag of lays chips. The servers were nice, and very helpful as I had my disabled son along with me; they helped me get in and out of the door. It took forever for the food to come out. I think they might be a little understaffed in the kitchen. It definitely has a bar look and feel, even though it has a good size restaurant seating area. I think next time I’ll go back to hang out with a larger group. It’d be a good place to hang out with some friends and grab a bite to eat.

This place surprises me every time I go. Tried the chicken wings and boy were they tasty! Not sure if their blue cheese is homemade but either way it’s one of the best in Cincinnati. Great family atmosphere good for sports or quick bite to eat

Had the five alarm burger on my first time here. I can say it won’t be my last. The burgers are awesome, and the loaded waffle fries were spot on. This place should be #1 in Milford.

Locals joint. Service is fair. The burgers are the best in Milford, top 10 in Cincinnati. It is not clean but you don’t go there expecting that. You expect to have a good beer and burger and feel like you are a townie. It delivers on that.

Let me start off by saying that the wait staff was super nice, they are some super helpful and fast working girls! The food was pretty subpar and I feel as if the beer could be way colder. The bar seemed a bit dirty to me. And also there were a few too many weird/annoying customers that were bothering my friend and I. The only reason I have to go back is that the waitresses were pretty cool.

We absolutely love this neighborhood bar and grill for its good food, atmosphere and really reasonable prices. Lately though the service has suffered. I don’t blame the servers who I think typically are very good, but it seems the kitchen is the problem. They get backed up especially on wing night(Thursday).

Went with five people two Philly steaks one cheeseburger, one knuckle sandwich and a sub sandwich, got the loaded fries as an appetizer and had several drinks. Food came out perfectly cooked no issues no problems. There was live music and it was Tuesday night, very impressive. Reasonably priced food drinks and all under 100. I will be back and will fill free to bring others.

Local dive… good food. Slow on service. I think the cooks need to step it up.(the slow food orders can put a person in a bad mood)… plus they charge you extra for little things… like ten cents for each wing if you want all flats. …really!!! Over all good local dive.

The burgers here are the best of the best when made properly. I have been over a dozen times and have had to return the burger occasionally due to wrong topping or to burnt(I like char, not burned though). When the burgers are prepared properly they are the best. The wings are amazingly well done with actual flavor over just making it hot. The appetizers are really good too I keep meaning to try other things but the burgers and wings are too good to skip… The service has been really good correcting any issues and make us feel welcome each time.

One of the best burger places around Milford. Full bar, outdoor seating and they always have something going on. They also have half priced burger Mondays.

I’m cracking up reading these reviews because our experience was IDENTICAL. Went for lunch on a Saturday with the kids and it took well over an hour to get out of there… and we are very fast eaters. The service moved at a glacial pace and the food was just so-so. I had to take the kids to the car while my husband paid because they were going stir crazy from waiting so long for the check. The staff all seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. I thought maybe we hit them at an off time but apparently not!

Very decent honest food in a sports-bar type atmosphere. Definitely a Milford standard and neighborhood place, the regulars at the bar know each other and the staff are friendly. Milford’s version of Cheers. Burgers and BBQ sandwiches the highlights for me, and I don’t think at all overpriced for the quality. Beer selection could be better, especially since Cincinnati has such a great beer heritage. Would be nice to have a few craft lagers, ales and IPA’s — and how about some real German beer? I live in the neighborhood and never came here until after the fire and remodel(it looked way too depressing before). What they’ve done with the new building is very nice, it is attractive and welcoming now, a real plus for Milford.

Living in the neighborhood myself, we frequent here fairly often. But to be honest, it’s not for the great envirment, or great prices but more because we’re exhausted and Bygolly’s is so close by. Overall, I can’t imagine Milford without ByGolly’s. It’s sort of a staple here. And what a different place it’s become since the fire and the re-build! The beer and drink selection are same-ol;same-ol. And for me, the prices are kind of high. But the food is good– go for the Reuben! It’s the BEST!!!

To get one star from me, there has to be intentional sass. The server has to be outright rude to me, along with all the other problems — an experience intolerable when you’re paying for a meal. There was no rudeness at By Golly’s. However, pretty much everything else service wise was the worst thing that I’ve possibly ever seen(and I eat out a lot, if that wasn’t apparent.) I was meeting a friend in Milford and we decided to eat here. This one room sports bar known for burgers seemed nice. You walk in and seat yourself and my friend had done that 10 minutes before we got there … no one came over. I sat down and chatted and we waited another 10 minutes … no one came over. And we could see the waitress walking by. I finally went up to the bar and asked her to come over, which she then did, saying that she missed us.(My friend’s response later, «I am a giant man wearing bright red. I’m impossible to miss!») She took our orders: two burgers with fries and two sodas. And then … nothing. No drinks, no food, nothing. Another waiter came by and asked us if we had drink orders and we said we did. He then came over again a little while later and went, «Still no drinks? What did you order?» After we told him, he went and got the sodas for us, «All that time just for Cokes, huh?» If the staff is dismayed by the bad service, then you know it’s bad. Out food came out a little while later, and my friend did not get fries or mayo with his, even thought they were ordered. Ugh… The burger and fries were good, tasty and very messy. But also, way, way, way, overpriced! It was like $ 9 for a burger that did not come with fries! Unacceptable almost for anywhere, but a sports bar in Milford? You’ve got to be kidding me. And fries were like $ 1.25 more. Jesus. That is just not good. So we ate and had a nice time talking, and then it was time to pay. They checks were dropped off … and then never picked up. We sat and waited and waited and then for the second time that day, I had to go up to the bar to ask to pay. Our waitress was on her cellphone and I had to signal to get her attention and hand her the check. After reading through the other Unilocal reviews, service is clearly an issue at By Golly’s. Not worth the drive, not worth the price, not worth the wait.

By Golly’s is a great place to grab a burger and a beer if you’re up in the Milford area. The atmosphere is that of a nice sports bar I guess. Every time I go in there they’ve added stuff to make it nicer. There are several TV’s and even a fireplace in the wall. now. They have a small patio that’s nice to sit out on during the warmer months. The staff have always been friendly, and I love their burgers. Some of the single burgers are a little small, but I’ve gotten them to make them into double burgers a few times, so there’s always that. The loaded waffle fries, Oh my God, so good. Service speed has always been sort of a mixed bag when I’ve gone, but the staff has always been friendly. The prices seem a little high, but not that bad really. Anyway, if it’s your first time out in Milford, there are other places I would recommend, but if you live or work here, or are specifically in the mood for a good burger, I recommend you give By Golly’s a try.
