Love this local place! I’m not usually a fan of thin crust pizza, but this is constantly cooked perfectly, never burnt. The pizzas are sized very well, and are just big enough to finish yourself, while still being able to save a piece or two if desired. The pricing is pretty basic, and is very reasonable. It’s also at a great location right in downtown! Though the venue is a little loud, it is a great social environment. PROTIP: Parking is tight in the actual plaza. Park in the garage across the street, or in the public parking lot/ice cream lot down the street.

Decent pizza. Very greasy so I had to Dab it and it kind of tasted like Mac and cheese.

Colony Grill is GREAT! If you are in the area, I highly suggest going and trying their hot oil pizza, it is simply amazing! My first experience here I was told to order the hot oil pizza and I did not regret it one bit… I have been craving it ever since. It is spicy with a jalapeño in the middle of the pizza. It is thin crusted pizza, a little burnt, but very delicious and light. The pizza comes at a reasonable price, typically around $ 10 – 12. There is one size, and I usually have a few pieces left over to bring home because I am stuffed! They only serve pizza, so make sure everyone is in the mood for pizza! I saw a lot of people around me get the salad pizza, which looked very good! I plan on trying that the next time! The restaurant is spacious and modern. It is a great place to go with a group of friends or family. There is a parking lot in the back. The service at the milford Colony wasn’t exceptional. Our waitress did not go out of her way at all to introduce us rookies to the kind of pizza colony had. Colony could definitely improve their service. Other than that, the food is great! I will be back again.

Try the SALADPIZZA(with cheese) !!! But all their pizzas are very good. Its something about their dough… it has a very special texture to it. Their pizza is very unique and I love it. You’ll be craving it for a while afterwards…

My girlfriend’s favorite pizza place now is a bit closer to us, with one in Milford and one in Fairfield. We went to the Milford one and it was as good as expected. It is not the kind of pizza you would expect, and I don’t even like thin pizza that much, but somehow, it works for Colony. Pizzas run for about $ 10 with $ 1.50 on each additional topping. The hot oil is a pretty good addition to the pizza components and it is not that spicy. The stingers do ramp up the spice level high though, so you might just want to try it with the hot oil first. This is a bigger, more spacious and more modern-looking locale, able to receive a large crowd with a good amount of parking space.

Very good pizza. I really like the«hot oil» pizza and their onions topping is very good. Great location for a quick pizza.

Excellent bar, but the pizza is just ok. Overpriced, cracker thin crust, and they are not generous with toppings. There are much better pizza choices, but if you are looking for a good place to grab a beer and hang out with some friends, their outdoor bar is awesome! Parking usually is terrible here, especially in the summer.

Love love love colony! Music is always perfect. Service pretty much never fails. And the pizza! Oh the pizza! Definitely my favorite pizza. I always get the hot oil and hot cherry peppers. It’s the o ky way to go if you like spicy. It never disappoints. I’m not sure how the pizza would hold up when reheated as leftovers because I’ve never had anything leftover. And if you can’t finish one of these pizzas something might be wrong with you. They’re so thin and tasty. I wish I knew the recipe! Also, I’ve been to Fairfield location as well and I can’t tell a difference with quality they’re both great! Definitely recommend

Another restaurant we were planning to go to was closed, so we decided to try this newly opened joint. The décor is fun, modern and spacious. The space used to be a hardware store, which you can see in old photos and the cool«hardware» sign hanging prominently. That’s the best part of the restaurant. I ordered a martini, and asked if they had cucumbers, but they said no. However, there is cucumber in one of their salad pizzas. When we mentioned this, the waitress said she usually can’t bring things that are not already part of the menu, but she was able to «sneak it out» and bring me some anyway. Ok… Just a heads up, they only serve pizza. We didn’t know that going in, but that’s fine. We ordered the salad pizza and a pepperoni. The crusts were nice and crispy. However, as we were eating them, we thought the dough was probably previously frozen, because both pizzas were perfectly circular, and the cheese looked like it already came on the pizza. It’s disappointing, as there are so many great pizza places in the area and the dough here doesn’t even seem fresh. We went to seven seas for nachos after, and immediately wished we ate there instead.

Nope, nope, nope. Just for this location, though-I will stress that! First off, the manager was very very nice. He came over and spoke with my girls and I. Past that? No. Our server was lackluster. Nice, but very… clearly wanted the tip. My girls enjoyed their standard pizzas… although one of the pies came out 10 minutes after the others-and we stressed we were only eating our own. My biggest issue? Colony Milford is the only Colony where I cannot eat safely!!! It turned me off years ago, and I won’t go back to this one again. I was clear about my Celiac… and I’m still suffering dermatitis and other side effects today, 5 days later. Aside from that-the gluten free crust was completely undercooked. Sorry Milford location… but get your crap together.

Rating is for their Gluten free pizza only. $ 14 for 6 decent size slices… decent size for 2 people. Little heavy on the cheese and I’ve had better Gluten free crust, but not terrible. I would go back.

Really solid pizza. I like that it is all they have on the menu because it is solid. I love the thin cracker crust. I got the hot oil with sausage and man was it good

They only offer pizza as the food offering. That’s their deal. I wish I had read the table menu before I pestered the bartender with questions about other food and salad makings. She wasn’t annoyed she just explained that they only did pizza. I did enjoye the thin crust bacon pizza we got. I used my fork and knife because it came out piping hot from the oven and I just can’t wait when melty cheese is set before me. The outside patio is very nice. It’s set up as though it were in doors with a regular ceiling and frame work with wooden beams. Just no walls on 3 sides. They have a good assortment of craft beers; Two Roads, Half Full, Captain Lawrence Brewing. White wine choices are good but not plentiful as is to be expected at a casual bar.

My 100th review!!! The pizza here is always consistently good. My favorites are both the hot oil and the new salad pizza. I don’t feel so bad eating the greasy hot oil when I’m getting my veggies too. My reason for the 3 stars though is the service which is very hit or miss. Sometimes you get a really attentive waitress and other times you get completely ignored. And every single time I’ve been here, it’s taken forever to get the check. Prepare for a wait on weekend nights, especially if you want to sit on the outside patio, which is a nice addition to the downtown area. They usually have a good beer selection on tap too which is constantly rotating. Overall this is a fun place to come hang out, grab a few beers, and stuff your face with some za.

I don’t care that this place isn’t anything like my beloved Pepe’s. I don’t care that all they have on the menu is pizza. You know what it is… when you go there… and it’s always consistent. I want to drink a lot of beer… I want to eat a lot of pizza… I want to come home with my fingertips smelling of bacon and onion and my stomach perhaps, maybe knowingly beginning to grumble after I consumed too much hot oil. It’s crisp. It’s flavorful. It’s sober and drunk food all in the same token. Sidenote… pizza reheats beautifully in the oven and what a wonderful treat it is to have ziplocks of deliciousness just waiting for me on any given day!

Colony Grill — Milford, CT — 5÷28÷2015 Located right on the Green in downtown Milford you will find one amazing Pizza restaurant… Rather than try to be all things to everybody, they focus on one thing… Pizza… Twelve inch personal pizza… My favorite here is the Pepperoni, Mushroom and Hot Oil… My friend Marc had the Sausage and Pepper… Thin Crust… Amazing sauce and probably the best pizza you’ll find for many, many miles… Just fold the slice in half and mangia! Highly recommended… Come solo… Meet friends or bring the family… There’s something for everyone!

My fiancé and I met two of our friends here on a busy night, but as soon as a table opened they were not taking long to seat people. I didn’t think this pizza could live up to the hype that I had been hearing about it, but I was so happy that it did. I ordered the hot oil pizza with meatballs and had intended on bringing some home for my mom to try, but ended up eating my whole pizza because it was so delicious!
