This is your standard tasty americanized version of Chinese food (the kind you grew up with), so if you’re looking for that this is the place. The person who answers the phone for delivery always seems a bit gruff, but other than that delivery has been prompt on two occasions, the food affordable, and very tasty.

Ordered today usually they are very nice on the phone, but apparently the girl who answered the phone did not want to be there. She was very rude but i love there food. Delivery takes forever.

Its exactly what it supposed to be. Really good take out for a fair price. We have always had a good experience ordering delivery and we almost always get the same driver and he is a great guy. Food is always fresh and hot. Cant ask for anymore.

We ordered from here this past weekend, as we had family in town who think Hunan is the best. I personally think that Great Taste/​Great Chow has better food and friendlier service. Our guests actually admitted it’s not as great as they remember… all I remember is how rude their service is.

This is not a place to eat in. The seating is very limited and not cozy feeling. They used to be double the size a long time ago with the space next door connected. But now they slimmed down. I just get take out quite often. It is always good. Not gourmet special, but why would you expect that here? I also get delivery sometimes. It’s a nice place to have in town.

Been going here for both dine-​in and takeout for years after trying the competition in town. Overall, Hunan Gourmet has the best Chinese food in town. The prices are reasonable and the portions are good sized. The waitstaff are attentive and very friendly.

Honestly not a bad place! a little pricey for what we got. Crab Rangoon’s really good the beef and broccoli tasted a little seafood-​ish flavor. delivery took a little long but overall I would go back again. Got a lot of leftovers!

Why are the reviews so glowing? This is a generic Americanized Chinese food joint, with the same sweet and sour menu as you find in every town. I agree with Dennis — this is nothing special. I got fooled by the positive reviews and drove several miles out of the way for MSG.

«…like so many others before me, this is the Chinese Restaurant to go to if you are in Milford or the surrounding towns. The food is always fresh, the food is always delicious and having been a frequent flyer here for many years, I can also say that everything good about Hunan is consistent. In other words, you can eat here every six months and you’ll still get the same fresh, delicious food as well as being able to count on good service every time!
My faves are the Crab Rangoon and the General Gau’s chicken, the crab ‘s filling is unique and so tasty and the chicken is crisp and mouth watering!

I uses to eat here 20 years ago and when my husband and I were driving through this past weekend I had to stop in again. It’s obviously different now since it seems to mainly be a takeout joint and not sit-​down, but it was still better than any Chinese place we’ve tried on the North Shore. We got vegetable lo mein, vegetable dumplings, beef teriyaki, boneless spareribs, and pork fried rice and found everything to be very flavorful and delicious. Also the portions were enough for three meals.

Best chinese food outside of Boston in my opinion.
The lunch meals are a REALLY good deal as well as the dinner meals, I always order the 1G which is inexpensive but there is a lot of food! I recommend this place to anyone that loves good food 5 stars, I live in southborough and I drive 30 mins just to pick up food from there

Definitely the best Chinese food in Milford. When i need delivery this is the place i always call. They have the BEST Chicken Wings in town, they’re a little fry crispy and they taste really good. The Beef Teriyaki here is one of my favorites and i never forget to order it. The Fried Rice and the Lo Mein is average as is most of the dishes. I think the General’s Gau, Orange Beef, and the Beef with Peapods are the best dishes they do. I would rate this like a 3.5, but i know what to expect from them and i do order here a lot so i’m giving a 4.

Very simply, yet another MSG-​laden Americanized Chinese food restaurant that specializes in combinations of appetizers coupled with soy sauce soaked fried rice. They’ve compacted the restaurant to half the size it was and specialize in the take-​out elements without the buffet anymore. It is not my cup of tea due to my allergy to the synthesized essence of seaweed, but at least their service is relatively quick as their one saving grace. If this is your cup of tea, go ahead. At least they’re not overpriced and have large portions, but not my idea of Chinese food. I have to find something better in the area…
