I trust Marshall’s and have been going to them for repairs, ring sizing, and purchases for over 20 years. They are always courteous and attentive, and most importantly, knowledgeable.

I went into Marshall’s for one of the simplest of jewelry requests — sizing a brand new watch that was too big for my wrist. I left with a broken watch 20 minutes later.
The woman removed 2 links with ease. But on the third one… she was working on it for a solid 10 or 15 minutes. When she came back, the pins in the band kept falling out. She claimed that the bands kept splitting on her and that the watch might be defective. If the person who gifted it to me bought it online, it could have defective pins…
She told me that I could try wearing it (the wedding was that day) but to be careful, because the pins might fall out. Literally as she finished saying that, I went to put it on and it fell off my wrist. She told me to go to a different location that might have bigger pins.
I took the watch to a different business (where they actually knew what they were doing) and the guy there told me she’d put all the pins in backwards. He sized the watch in about 5 minutes and it’s been solid the past few days. No loose or falling pins.
Maybe the woman who helped me at Marshall’s was new, and the other people there are competent. But I’d think twice about having any valuable /​sentimental jewelry repaired there if they can’t even handle taking a few links out of a watch band.
