Specialties
We sell Italian fig trees that have a history. The San Piero mother tree was a cutting from a 90 year old seed grown tree. The seeds were smuggled in from Italy between bed sheets in the early 1900’s during the height of immigration. This variety is our best seller. We also have a Paradiso tree that produces a white fig, and a Sicilian Black that produces a large black fig. Both of these two varieties arrived as cuttings from Italy and Sicily after WW2. We where able to obtain some cuttings from these mother trees after hurrcane Irene hit the northeast. Also we hope to make available a Desert King fig. Green fig that is very tasty.
History
Established in 2013.
We have expanded our hobby of gardening, into a backyard nursery, selling cuttings of our plants and Italian fig trees. We have sold many fig trees from our driveway for several years. We wanted to expand the availability of these fig trees, so we are setting up an on-line business to broaden the availability of these fig trees. Back in 2007 we sold our first fig tree and hope to continue to do so.

Manager
Our great-grand parents have worked the land as farmers shortly after immigrating to America from Sicily. Our grand parents where farmers until they sought work in the factories in the 1940s and 50s. So, maybe there is something in our blood or spirit where working the soil comes natural. Anyway, we love growing these trees and selling them to the public.
