Wild About Birds

Wild About Birds in Milford should probably just be called, Everything But the Birds. Upon first glance and before you step into the store, you might think that Wild About Birds is a shop to buy birds as pets, but in reality they supply everything you could possibly want or need to attract birds to your yard. Although they don’t sell birds, it’s still the ultimate destination for any and all bird lovers as they have not only the feeding supplies, but also garden décor and a gift shop.
I’ve seen people put bird houses/​feeders in their backyard, but I never knew that people would want to spend 50 bucks on a birdbath, for example, for random feathered guests. The garden décor options were nice and they had some really neat birdbaths and also wind chimes. Of course, bird feeding appears to be there main focus as they have huge bags of seed and suet (including their exclusive Backyard Bird Mix) and different kinds of bird feeders such as wood feeders, tube type feeders, and tray feeders. Who knew?
They even have a gift section which includes all kinds of books such as Birds in Ohio, a collection of bird sound CDs, stationery, thermometers, garden signs, and the aforementioned wind chimes. Wild About Birds also has a kids section with games and puzzles, and they have hardware and accessories too, including deck mount poles, chains, and s-​hooks. Heck, they even have a squirrel section, seemingly pro and anti-​squirrel, with both squirrel feeders and Squirrel Busters, a squirrel-​proof bird feeder.
Wild About Birds is a neat store, now in its 19^th year in business. It doubled in size a few years back upon renovation, and it is now the «largest independent wild bird shop in the Cincinnati area,» according to its website. I like birds and I think some of the products they sell are neat and would look great in the yard, I’m surprised so many people would care about all these wild birds. If you stop in you’ll notice they have nice, peaceful bird «music» playing, which nicely supports the fact that the store is… all about birds!
