The staff here are always knowledgeable and helpful. Many times they’ve helped me find just the right thing for a gift or dinner accompaniment.

From the outside this unassuming little brick building looks and feels like just another local beer distributor. It’s not. The owners have carefully and intentionally built a deep, wide inventory of some of the finest international wines available anywhere in the region. I walked in looking for a Castello di Gabbiano Piemonte Moscato — preferably an ’08. After nosing around their beautifully appointed oak shelves and bins I found it, and right alongside several other, difficult-to-find Moscatos. There’s even a section dedicated to the wines of Georgia(the region in the South Caucasus — not the state) and a remarkably good selection of German whites. The friendly owners love wine and they’re in the process of establishing an upmarket Italian food and wine store in nearby Frenchtown. This is worth the trip.

Don’t let the small outside appearence fool you, The Wine Hut may look small from the outside, but, the wine selection is probably the best in the area. This is a father and son run business just on the border of Milford and Frenchtown, NJ. I believe their names are Armand and Anthony and they are both very knowledgeable when it comes to their inventory. If you are looking for a good bottle of wine, you will find it here. If you can’t find what you are looking for, ask, they probably have it or they have something similar in taste and quality. I have never been disappointed with any of their suggestions.
