Very average in both food and service. The portions are large but the taste and quality leave much to be desired. I’ve been here a few times and I’ve comeback truly out of convenience since this spot is close to home. I would not recommend the fish, it is very soggy and extremely oily. The Mac salad is decent, but the restaurant is lacking maintenance they could really improve in their cleanliness.

Honestly, the food is great, well cooked, given to the customer in a good amount of time and the cooks are very nice people. I have worked here at the Mililani L&L by Safeway, but the owner is so rude.

We come here quite often since prices are reasonable and portions are plentiful. The grilled pork chop is soft and tasty. The«half-half chicken»(bbq chicken/chicken katsu special) is one of our favorites, as well as the bbq mix plate.

Don’t waste your money on the buffet case, food was cold. The double cheeseburger was good but nothing to write home about. Used frozen vegetables in the rice dishes… ugh… only would come here if the only other option was to chew my arm off

Very nice people, but found hair in my daughters mac salad then seen the cook take out the trash come back in and jumped right back on the grill without washing his hands. But our food was good lol

This place is a mix of good and crap. The best in all the L&Ls is their chicken katsu. Stick to that only. I ordered their beef curry, I think the cap of their spice fell off and they just mixed it right in. It was spicy hot and overwhelming curry flavor. Uneatable. Usually they make an meh to okay curry(lots of sauce not too much meat) but this was atrocious. I burped it up for HOURS and HOURS on the little I ate. I would not even feed this to my dog cuz I was scared he was gonna get the runs, it was THATBAD. This place is incredibly disorganized. There’s a Vietnamese(???) owner I think and she gets easily flustered when lines form and she really freaks out. She’ll be doing an order, then stop looking around confused. My beef curry is pre cooked and it still took 15 minutes. One couple waiting over 20 for a loco moco. Everyone after me got their food except them. So don’t expect hot food, it’ll sit on the pickup table while she figures her stuff out. Cold fries. Yuck. Their ramen burger is cold as ice, pre-made until they put a hot burger on it. It is COLD, not room temp, COLD. The sauce was good. Their steam table stuff looks all dried and over cooked. Yuck. They do make excellent chicken cake noodle too — you seafood allergic folks like me, they don’t use oyster sauce but it’s tasty.

I was so dissatisfied with their beef curry. The meat was so tough I couldn’t chew it! I gave it to my dog to eat. I so wanted to eat beef curry I will not order that again from them. I think Leeward Drive Inn serves better curry!

I really like how crispy their chicken katsu is, also the Hawaiian bbq plate is good. It’s best to call your order in ahead of time bc they always have a line of people waiting. Their staff is pleasant and quick.

For some reason or another we always have to wait when picking up our order. We call in advance and it is never ready on time. I can see if they are busy but they are not busy. They need to fix their clocks in there. Like today we pre ordered out food to pick up at 5:00 it is now 5:15 and still waiting. This in my opinion is not acceptable. We like coming here because they give plenty and the prics are decent. But, if you want to keep your customers you need to full fill the orders on time.

This is a review on Mililani’s(by Longs and Safeway) L & L Drive Inn’s featured Saimin Burger. Being intrigued by the recent original Ramen Burger from New York, we decided to check out L & L’s version. The Ramen Burger was $ 10 at Taste Table in Kaka’ako. The Saimin Burger is only being featured at a handful of L & L’s for $ 5.95. The saimin wasn’t even saimin noodle — very thin chow mein? It was actually cake noodle shaped into a round bun-like imitation. The burger was tiny, over half the size of the ramen burger. It’s hard to describe what we were eating — a Chinese food version of hamburger patty between cake noodle? Something you wouldn’t crave. Folks, don’t buy this!

Avoid this location at all costs during any holidays or special events. They don’t seem to get that around holidays it gets busy… Real busy. Even when you call in your order in advance don’t hold your breath. Most times if not all times they won’t start your order until after you got there. Don’t be surprised if your order takes more than 1 hour. It doesn’t help that they hire immature girls to take orders.

Reopened a little while ago; still offering some reopening specials. PROs: +Value: BBQ chicken(regular) for $ 5.99(2 scoops white/brown rice, mac salad or tossed greens) and the chicken is good portions – at least 3 deboned thick thigh filets! Better portion sizes than the one in Mauka. +Low Prices: BBQ mix plate weighed at least 1.5 pounds. $ 8.95 as of this writing. BBQ chicken plate weighed at least 1 pound. $ 5.99 as of this writing(on special; usually $ 6.95) +Healthy options: Brown rice is soft; short grain. Doesn’t taste granola-y, either. This location’s is a nice way to go if you really like white rice but know you gotta do better healthwise. Other healthy options available(brown rice and greens), including a no-carb plate lunch, which is a little like a purple unicorn – rare and kinda pointless in today’s environs, but guess it sells. +Catering!: Saw a medium sized pan of chow mein just before it was tin-foiled to go out the door, and the sucker was heaped to overflowing and COLORFUL with greens and fresh veg. The thing was mounded over about 4 inches above the pan, and she wrapped it all up. Super pretty. Nice deal for $ 19.99($ 11.99 small/$ 19.99 medium/$ 35.99 large). They do small/medium/large pans of that, chicken Katsu, and BBQ chicken(both $ 15.99 small/$ 29.99 medium/$ 49.99 large). And the large is bambucha size. +Customer Service/Speed: can call same-day for catering/pans. Asked lady at the front, and she said to give them an hour or so(!). Sweet! +Quality Control: And yeah, the lady at the front is still yelling at the guys in the back in Chinese for every order, making sure everything is right. She DOES open every single order and looks at it, too. Loving the quality check! +MSGOK!: Elderly relative is very MSG sensitive, and she had the BBQ chicken plate with no problems. Can’t say for sure if they do no MSG, but she was fine(and she’s not been fine a whole lotta places that say no MSG). +Credit Cards: YES. Whoo-hoo! +Parking: Plenty, plenty, plenty. And free. In same strip mall as Longs, the only Safeway in Mililani, Po Sing(for your char siu fix!), Subway, and Papa John’s. So sumpin’ for everybody, if they don’t want what you got. +Kid Friendly: Has high chairs. Plenty of families, totally casual. Nobody is gonna say ANYTHING if your kid throws some rice at you, except maybe you. And then nobody is gonna yell at you for saying something about that, either. CONs: –Cafeteria Style/Chopsticks Express side: I don’t like their caf-style option/the Chopsticks Express side. The chow mein there looked old and hard and the other entrées didn’t look fresh. However, the L&L side is ALL made TOORDER. Don’t go for the Chopsticks Express side unless you want to order something not already in the front case. A little bit of a wait during lunch rush, but fresh and hot beats old and busted all day long. BOTTOMLINE: Would return. Has high chairs. Open door policy means you get a breeze, but you also feel a little bit like gorillas on view. Most people order and then sit in the front to wait, anyway, so if you eat in, sit in the back and position yourself behind a pillar. Or just take it home and grind like a one-armed convict, no shame!

If you’re goiing to the new L&L by the new Long’s and Starbucks(Mililani Mauka)…twice we’ve ordered from there and twice they’ve shorted us on one order. They said to come back down and they’ll have it ready but once we drive back, we’ve had to wait. Make sure to check your order before you leave!!!

Convenient location by the older Longs Drugs Store, and Safeway in Miliani. Lots of parking, and many great businesses in the same center. After getting my nails done at Perfection Nails, I often run over to L&L to pick up dinner. Quick and prices are reasonable. My kids love the chow mein, probably because there isn’t a lot of veggies in it. Kind of reminds you of manapua truck noodles, but better. That’s the best way to describe it. I’d say once you know the menu, call ahead. This place gets real bus at dinner time, between 5:30 — 7:00. And though the Chinese lady with the fake boobs is somewhat nice, she gets fustered and gets mixed up at times. There’s a skinny local girl in her teens that works the counter now that’s pretty rude, she pretends not to see customers, even when they’re standing right there in front of her. I’ve noticed at least 2 occasions where the people had to practically yell to get her to help them. She’s especially bad when the Chinese owner is not there. Best things there, the chow mein, chicken katsu and garlic fried shrimp. Oh yeah, since the fire and rebuild, the place is a little more updated, cause the fire took out all the old yucky seating and flooring. But be careful, last week when we went in, the chair almost came apart when I pulled it out for my little girl to sit on.

The food is okay at this location but the place looks like it needs a major-make over. The entry way and floor look like its never been cleaned. If the floor looks this way then I can assume the prep areas and kitchen look the same way. I’m just very particular about restaurant cleanliness having worked in the industry.

Well I’m a fan of their BBQ mixed plate which has a slice of kalbi rib, a slab of teri beef and two pieces of teri chicken plus two scoops rice a side of mac salad. I really enjoy the flavor of their teriyaki sauce and they cook each of these items as ordered so they are fresh. That said, sometimes the teribeef is a bit on the tough side. The mac salad is not good, too much mayo and not much flavor so I add Red Robin seasoning to it. I also like the BBQ cheeseburger, which actually is teriyaki hamburger with cheese. Their chinese side is pretty good as well but a tad on the salty side.
