Don’t get me wrong, the food is great. On the other hand, the owner simply does not know how to run a business. First off, one time I got up to get to refill my drink and by the time I had got back she had thrown half my sandwich away. All she said was, «oops. Sorry I thought you were done.» Didn’t offer to make me another sandwich or nothing and walked away. Not only that, the place isn’t open for dinner and is closed on Sunday’s. The sandwiches are pricey and she is horrible at bonding with her customers. She charges you for water. It goes on and on. Simply put, she has a great product but she doesn’t know what she is doing.

I haven’t been to the Fire Station Deli for a few months now because I’ve been so disappointed with the food I’ve received for the past year. During my last visit, I purchased 4 sandwiches and a salad to go. The sandwiches were so poorly made that I had to remake them when I got home. They had very little meat and the condiments were little blobs of mustard and mayo in the middle of the bread. The bread was soggy and there was more lettuce than meat. I can’t believe that I paid almost $ 10 for each sandwich and they don’t even come with chips. When this place first opened, the family running the business really cared and the food was very good and you got what you paid for. I’m really bummed that that is no longer and option to get a fresh made deli sandwich in Mill Creek.

I go to the fire station deli 3 days a week when on my shifts at the clinic across the street. The owner, Mary, is a sweetheart who treats her customers like family. The food is DELICIOUS(and looking at the previous comments) I have to say that the sandwiches are MUCHBETTER than soggy safeway sandwiches. The chili is unbeatable, the garlic cheese bread is to die for. The staff is extremely polite, and the ones who haven’t been, have been fired appropriately. I’ve been going to the deli for over a year now, and haven’t been disappointed once.

They serve Safeway tomato & basil soup & charge you twice as much as Safeway would. Like the other reviewer said, you can get the same quality sandwiches from the Safeway deli counter. Came here a while ago after ordering over the phone. Showed up when I was told & they forgot to even put the order in. I was understanding & it was a nice day so I sat outside with a friend while waiting. After another 20 minutes I had to go in again & ask what was going on because now my time was being cut short as I had to go to work. The owner(I’m assuming) was completely frazzled & told me they were still working on it, she could’ve cared less about her customers. It’s just a sandwich… & microwaveable soup… Please. They didn’t offer a refund & we just left. Have never been back & most importantly never will!

You can go to Safeway and get the same kind of sandwich on soggy bread for a lot less than $ 12.00. And that includes chips, and a drink, unlike at this place, where you just get a pickle. Also, they will ask you to leave in the middle of eating, while you’re sitting there, trying to enjoy your soggy sandwich, the chick came out from behind the counter and said«So, we’re closing now and here’s a to-go box». Rude. She could have told me that when I was ordering. It was raining outside, and I had a baby in a sling around me! She just said«Bye» and expected me to jump up with food hanging out of my mouth. I will never eat at this cruddy place much less walk in there again. Don’t do it! They stink. Plenty of other restaurants and sandwich places in town center that have way better food without over-charging.
