June Bug Photography officially opened in February of 2014. My family moved to Snohomish, and we built in an amazing studio in our new home.

Business Owner
My name is Melissa Jenkins, and I am the photographer for June Bug Photography.
I have been passionate about photography for nearly 20 years, after taking a black and white photography course ages ago. I ended up turning my bathroom into a darkroom, and developing my negatives and prints myself.
I grew up to become a science teacher at an alternative school for Kindergarten — 12th grade students. I have since made the decision to stay at home with my young children, but I missed working with kids of all ages… so I made the jump to be a professional photographer and start my own business.
I *adore* working with new families, and I just love the relationships I am able to build with my clients. I am proud to say that 90% of my clients return for more photos, which is such an honor.
