Since 1980, we have been serving Marin County, Sonoma and the entire San Francisco Bay Area. I began the company as Don Rosevear Moving with the purchase of a 16-​foot moving van and a small, but loyal following. We’ve grown considerably since then, and we owe a great deal of that growth to our repeat and referred customers. Eventually we became Main Street Moving and Storage and expanded our services to include long distance, interstate and international moving. We remain family owned and operated and our dedicated staff and experienced movers maintain the personal care and attention to detail that enables our customers to move with confidence and peace of mind.

They came on time. Worked quickly. Wrapped up furniture well, much of which had glass doors. For that they get 4 stars
One thing that really bugged me was one of the guys was very snoopy. I believe it would have been more professional to have stayed on task and not ask me about stuff in the house, hence the two star rating.

These guys were the nicest, most professional, most helpful moving team I’ve ever seen. Loved these guys – completely flawless move and so nice and easy to work with. Great to work with Dee Dee in the office on move estimate and planning, and then the actual crew – 3 really nice normal guys who moved everything without a single scratch and happily put everything exactly where I wanted it to be. And the upfront estimate was slightly higher than the actual final cost :-). I would absolutely recommend them to anyone moving in the area.

Main Street moved me in the most difficult and trying and stressful time in my life and handled it all with the most professional and respectful manner. Nothing was amiss and even when something needed minor repair they came to pick up immediately and returned the item and assembled it. When I move to to the east coast next year I will use them above all others!

Rich, Don and Dee Dee moved us out of our house, stored our belongings at their storage facility for five years while we lived abroad. They packed and moved everything in our absence. We will now use their services to help ship everything to our new home overseas, also while we are away. We’ve used several different moving and storage facilities in the S.F. Bay Area over the years, but none can compare with Main Street Moving for quiet competence, tidiness, and calm attention to detail. They are completely trustworthy, everything is packaged the way it should be, and they have excellent judgment. It would be a different world if all businesses operated like they do. We used Main Street to move from the Bay Area to Southern California and could not be more pleased. The crew of four that packed every item for us were kind, personable and packed everything safely. The unpacking only took 5 hours and when Don and Rich left, along with the crew of 4, we had no boxes left! Our furniture was placed, lamps on tables etc. all that’s left for us to do is hang pictures, put ornaments away and organize the kitchen. We have moved 5 times in the last 12 years and this one was the smoothest. Thanks!

We moved from California to another state and researched who we wanted to hire to move us. Main Street was one of the top two that I felt secure calling. I had heard a lot of bad moving stories, even from my friends husband who is a sheriff. So, picking movers who kept my peace of mind was important to me. Rich, Don and Dede were great. They called or emailed me all through the move. Their crew was great and had no problems with our belongings. We have a lot of glass shelves and desks and everything was packed well. I was very happy and did not have to worry about the move. I would highly recommend Main Street Moving & Storage. If I ever have to move, I would call them first. Thank you Don and Rich.

It had been twenty years since I had moved, and now I was doing it alone. Main Street Moving folks made it so easy! The move was almost fifty miles, but the crew arrived at my condo promptly, and furniture was in its new place much quicker than I’d imagined it could be. The two men worked quickly, quietly, and efficiently. Better yet, the final cost was considerably less than the estimate had been!

We had an excellent experience with Main Street Moving, albeit in some of the very worst weather this spring served up.
The guys showed up right on time and immediately went to it, carrying multiple boxes down our many flights of stairs without a single grumble or misstep — and in fact, with a smile and a good bit of banter.
We had two pickup locations, one drop-​off and not one problem. A tricky move was made so so easy with their help and we are very grateful to them. An awesome price as well. Very highly recommended

I did a local move with Main Street after a friend’s referral, and they did a great job. Don came and did the weight estimate, and the estimate came in real close to my final cost. The 3 movers were on time, professional and worked hard the entire time. My goods and furniture were treated well. I would recommend MainStreet to friends!
