Business Owner

Erin Seavey is our «Den Mother» in charge of retail operations. Her passion for animals, particularly her love for dogs, is accompanied by a strong work ethic, making this business a perfect environment for her. In 2012 Erin happily jumped at the opportunity to take over the Alpha Dog Retail shop in Mill Valley, CA. Her customers came to know her not only for her dependability, but for her caring nature and dedication towards their dogs.

Dave Tint, our «Pack Leader» is our chief dog walker. Dave is truly passionate about nature and wildlife, exercise and hard work. He says «This job is the best one in the world – I get to spend my time outdoors with dogs on arguably the most beautiful trails on earth and, in doing so, develop and enhance my beliefs of responsibility, discipline, and compassion.»

Such unique items! We got my pom a really cute winter vest/​harness. The woman working there was incredibly helpful and paid such kind attention to us. Definitely a gem. I have been to a LOT of pet stores in SF… MTDC is WAYYYY better than the majority of SF Pet Boutiques.

Just came here and what a Marin pet gem! Sadie (our fluffy dogter) instantly loved the place and there are mang unqiue things here. We found a ear and neck warmer which our multipoo is fine with (surprisingly) and she lovvved the different treats they had (some with organic ingredients). While I typically love a bigger organic treat section, they still had some nice, locally made noms. Also, the sales people were not pushy and were very helpful.

A huge shout out to Mt Tam Dog Co and Melissa M who went above and beyond this evening. I’m scheduled to leave pre-​dawn tomorrow and learned at 5:50 this evening that my plans for dog care fell through. In a slight panic, I called Mt Tam Dog and, within minutes and just before closing, Melissa came through and found someone who can stay at my house and care for my furry friend. Many thanks for making life easier for those of us with four-​legged friends.

The best dog hiking service in the Marin by far.
David and his awesome crew take out our super energetic boxer once a week. When she is home after the hike all she wants to do is sleep. I don’t get that result after having her run around off leash at the dog park for two hours.
Do your dog a big favor and let her have a supervised hiking adventure.

Bikers, hikers, runners and dogs – the trails of Mill Valley are gorgeous, but you have to learn how to share. Mt. Tam Dog Company has mastered the concept, and I’m very appreciative.
Is it strange for someone without a dog to rate a dog walking company? Here’s the thing: as a hiker and a mountain biker, I see a lot of people with their dogs. I can’t count the mornings that Dave from Mt. Tam Dog Company has brought a group of dogs by me or I have swooped (slowly!) past him on my bike. The dogs don’t lunge or growl – they are under control and they all look like they are smiling. Even a non-​expert can feel the relaxed and happy vibe. I appreciate feeling secure as we pass each other. If only I could say the same about all of the dogs I meet!
Do your dogs a favor. If you can’t get ‘em out on the trails yourself (which you should! the trails are the best!), hire Dave to walk them for you.

Dave and Erin are the *best*. Dave is passionate about dogs and is my favorite dog walker ever! Erin’s billing is always perfect and delivered in a timely manner. Together they are a dynamic duo! I highly recommend this company if you are looking for loving and responsible dog walkers for your pooch. I wouldn’t trust my dog with anyone else!
