A few months ago I met James the owner of York Cleaners when the store was on Miller. They are now at 87 East Blithdale. I was surprised how reasonable the prices were as I have paid $ 50 or more for dry cleaning. I have never spent more then $ 20 here for about the same amount of items.
If you are seeking a good local place for your dry cleaning, give York Cleaners a try.

This is the worst establishment I have ever been to. It’s an obvious sign that this place is horrible because of the fact that they have a rack of clothes for sale. I mean where do you think these clothes are coming from? They are selling your clothes and pretending to lose them to make extra cash like they did to me. NEVER take your clothes here, they will «lose» them and sell them. Absolutely ridiculous!

This is a very well run establishment operated by a very nice and accomodating husband and wife team. Our family has patronized them for years and have found them to be fair and consistenly providing top quality service.

i was lazy and didn’t bring in my 2 pairs of pants to get hemmed at the little place near my work in the city and walked a couple blocks to York cleaners. first, my receipt says 7.25, my little place is 6.00, so the 1.25 is expected living in mill valley. oh, but when i go to pick them up I am told the receipt is wrong, they are 15 bucks a piece. i think my exact reaction was ‘holy shit!’. this wasn’t for an original hem alteration job either, just plain and simple hems. they didn’t tell me and if they would have, i wouldn’t have left my pants. so we have words, lots of words.
i get it, living in mill valley, there is an «everyone is rich so we’re going to charge you more tax». but this amount is stunning, maybe i’ve been spoiled this whole time going to dry cleaners in the city? i won’t be back and have learned a lesson here, this is my second attempt to find a dry cleaner in mill valley– i’m giving up now.
if you have lots of money than this will not affect you. the pants are totally hemmed, its a price issue.
