Description

Specialties

Classic pies made from scratch daily, hand-pressed apple cider from local Utah apples.

History

Established in 2014.

The convergence of two classic American traditions: cider and pie. The pie came first, when a young man came home from college one day (the day before his 24th birthday, in fact) to find a large box of apples sitting in the fridge. He thought, «there is no way we will ever eat all these,» which brought the next logical thought, «I shouldn’t make it to 24 without ever having made a pie.»

A few years and dozens of pies down the road, he became great friends with the son of a local farmer. The two of them sold fruit from a small booth at farmers markets and dreamed big. They transitioned from selling the fruit itself to making cider right there at the market. Patrons loved to see the process and couldn’t beat the taste. After two years and hundreds of cups of cider, they decided to make it a little more permanent and The Press was born.
