Guess we got the new lady! Because I was able to finish my 5 loads of laundry, dry them, fold them come back and the lady was still working on my gfs toes. One older lady came 20 min later got the same service, and was done before my gf. Décor OK. Haircuts look alright, I think the owner is doing them. But she doesn’t clean her stuff or the hair off the floor.

A diamond in the rough. ~Before you read my entire review, I’m going to warn you that I specifically talk about one person.~ The only reason why I’m giving this place 5 stars is because of Wendy. She used to be the owner but now her sister-in-law runs the place. The only way you can have Wendy work on you is through an appointment and you have to call her personal cellphone. I love going to Wendy for my haircut and nails. I previously wrote a review for Maggie’s beauty max on how much I love the way they color my hair but this is the ONLY place I go to for my hair cut! She knows how to cut your hair so it frames and compliments your face. I’d say I’ve been coming here for almost three years and it’s so convenient because it’s literally one minute away from my house. My aunts and grandma also come here just for her. The ladies here are all very nice. I notice they give extra special attention to their frequent customers. With strangers, they do their best to be polite. Wendy knows my style and preferences down to the T. Whenever she works on my nails, she never asks me if I want to add fake tips because she knows I go all natural. She also uses a product manufactured by her sister and brother. It’s powder gel. It’s amazing because it doesn’t ruin your nails and it lasts at least three weeks and it never chips. Ask for Wendy if you decide to stop by here.

It took a lot of internal debate before deciding to write this review. The ladies working here were very nice, I’ll give them that. But they know nothing about doing hair. I am a blonde, went in for a highlight, and I came out with orange and grey hair. It was the worst processing job, by far, that I’ve ever had, and I ended up with fried hair for the first time in my life. The entire process consisted of four processing jobs of my hair, burning of my scalp, being rinsed with ice cold water, rinsed with water going down my back, sitting with a wet towel around my neck for 20 minutes, and Vaseline being put on my face. This took 6 hours. Six hours, and I had to make an appointment with another hairdresser to fix what these women did. I will say the other women getting their eyebrows down and nails done looked happy, but do not get your hair done here

The new hairstylist, Lisa, is actually very good. She used to own Lisa’s Hair and Nail in San Jose. She is very friendly and skillfull. She spent almost an hour on my hair(I am a guy) and only asked for $ 10 — I had to give her a big tip :)

I’ve never done an online rating for a business also. I also went out of my way to get on Unilocal(i’ve heard of it before) online and find this salon. I was very upset with the turn out of my full set of nail. «Teresa» did them and I had to ask how long it had been since she has done nails. Not only was she fumbling around to find the tools she needed, but she cut my pinky with a file, left it bleeding and I said, «Um hello» i’m bleeding and she insised she would«bandage» it later… that was after she poured alcohol all over it. WTF? There was glitter all in the acrylic of my nails because of a previous job she had done = dislike. Would have been nice if she kept the acrylic on my nails instead of all over my fingers. but whatever at this point I just want them finished and out of there. I still wanted to give her the benefit of doubt. In the end my nails would have looked better if I did them myself with some«Lee Press On’s»…Will NEVER go there again. Thanks,

This place is TERRIBLE! I’ve NEVER given a 1 star to date but this will be the first. I went OUTOFMYWAY to find this place online to write this negative review because the lady was super shady and here is why I say this. I entered the store and asked her how much a hair cut was. The Vietnamese lady looked at me and fumbled out a bunch of words before she finally decided it was 10 dollars. She had to think real hard about a price. I looked around to see if a price was listed anywhere on the wall and there WASN’T. After she gave me a price I spoke to her in Vietnamese and she was blown away that I could speak viet. I told her I was mixed and could speak Viet and Khmer. She was going to start talking crap but since I was viet she couldn’t say anything. She brought up MULTIPLETIMES how she was so caught off guard that I wasn’t Filipino. WHOCARESWHATETHNICITY I AM! She is a older Vietnamese lady in her 50’s or 60’s and had the 2nd chair closest to the door. I would NEVER go here again. As for the hair cut. TOTALFAILURE. I told her«straight fade, don’t round the top, zero on the sides». she starts the fade and immediately cuts the top in too much. I told her specifically that I did not want my hair looking like a «V» or an «A» and I wanted it to be faded straight up. After she destroyed one side she went and did the other. now it was the opposite. She cut it outwards and then back in so it looked like a lump on the side of my head. literally the left side was cut too much inwards and the right was outwards and back in. She spent over an hour trying to fix her mistake and kept saying«it’ll be ok». ITWON’T BEOKIDIOT! At this point I just told her. I’m done the hair is finished and got up. I asked her what I owed her and she insisted that it was a $ 10 haircut. In my other post I mentioned. I just moved to Milpitas and wanted to find a local spot that can just do a simple fade for cheap and quick. This lady should have paid me to even put of with her crap. screw this place and damm you! I hope people see this and don’t come here. at least for haircuts. Mani-Pedi’s on the other hand I’d have no idea. Thanks for nothing. Here’s to a week or so of wearing beanie’s and hats. AURGH
