Hampton Inn

With free internet, good breakfast and fruits, free popcorn, etc. Room is bigger than other Same level hotel. I rate 5 stars on it, this is my favorite one during this person trip. Also, convenient to highway and some Chinese restaurants.

For a room that was $ 300 per night, I expected much more. Here is the note I sent to Hilton after my stay:
The room had many issues…
The door would not lock unless it was slammed or pulled/​pushed hard. I took everything of value out of the room every day.
The sink in the bathroom was clogged and slowly drained.
It took minutes to get hot water from the tap.
The bottom of the clothes iron in the room was covered with some sticky residue. I asked house keeping for a new one so I could iron my shirts. I got a new one and had to let it had a bad odor to it when it was turned on. The odor stopped over time.
And finally, one morning I got out of the shower and walked in the room in my bare feet. When I entered the bathroom again and stepped on a towel on the floor I noticed a dark color on the white towel. It was from the bottom of my feet. The carpet was filthy.
I reported all this to the front desk on my departure. It was room 418.
Finally — I came over to Hilton from Marriott where I was a Platinum member. Should I go back to Marriott? Is there anyway you can consistently get me a decent room in a hotel?

Easy check-​in, plenty of parking, nice people… Decent rooms with comfy beds and plenty of amenities. Breakfast included. Free wifi. There’s a lot going for this hotel, and it kinda makes me wish I was staying more than one night. And did I mention chocolate chip cookies?

Great hotel, front desk person very friendly. Good location, clean rooms, convenient to restaurants and highways. Would definitely recommend.

I have stayed at a number of Hampton Inns and appreciate their cleanliness, how up-​to-​date the décor is, and the wide variety of options at breakfast. While those elements were present at this location, there were some glitches the week that I stayed that makes me wonder about how this place is operating. On the first full day, there was no hot water for the whole hotel. The front desk told me it was due to a new hot water heater installed the day before that apparently didn’t work properly. Later that evening I returned to my room and it had not been cleaned nor the bed was not made. Two days later, a local power outage interrupted power (not the hotel’s fault) for about three hours in the evening. However, when the power returned around 10pm, the internet router was not reset in the part of the hotel I was staying at even after multiple queries. By the time I checked out the next day at 9am, it was still not working. Would I stay here again? Maybe once more to give the place a chance to fire on all cylinders. It’s location is also very convenient to a number of restaurants. But if the minor issues continue, I will avoid.

This place is great. We left Marriott fremont because it was a joke! These guys are so clean and nice. The rooms were awesome and the lobby is one of the nicest I have seen in a while. Thank you everyone that helped us especially Amanda she went out of her way!

There’s so many wrong at this hotel. I guess being a Diamond member didn’t matter to them as I felt like I wasn’t treated like one. I requested for an early check in. I’ve arrived with my rental car around 11a yesterday and the Indian guy who was wearing a turban (Manny) told me that there was no room available when the parking lot was empty lol. It didn’t take me long to wait so I guess couldn’t complain much about it but as a Diamond member, he failed to offer me free snack and a water. Then their check out time is at 11a. If you requested a late check out, you’ll be charged half rate which is over $ 150 as the room is already over $ 300. This place is trying to rob me!

I hated it here. Walls are so thin that you can hear when someone is using the restroom/​taking shower!
And it is so so so loud. Plus it is facing the highway… the Windows are too thin as well, so you can hear everything that is happening from outside.
A Nightmare!
My bad, to have a nightmare you need to sleep and here you can’t.
The towels desperately needs and upgrade too. One. of then was so thin that opened up a hole while I was using it.
This one it is so far, the worst Hampton inn. I stayed and never again!

Great value for our family SF vacation. So many different restaurants near by and we drove from OC, so driving about 30 minutes to SF and about 1 hour to Muir Wood wasn’t a big deal.
Clean hotel with different breakfast each morning was nice. You’ll find out, but stay away from fruits, they’re old. Instead take uncut apples and oranges, so there you’re covered.
Close to 237 & 880. I think the best thing about this hotel is restaurants/​mall/​movie are close proximity.

This is a clean hotel… but that is about all that is positive. If you want food, drink or anything but a limited breakfast you are looking at the wrong place. It is isolated by the highway, a crown plaza and an all Asian food/​supermarket place. Even if you want to order food, good luck, you are in Milpitas which has no weekday delivery places past 10pm, so I wish you well if you are coming off of 12 hours of meetings and expecting an option to eat with out driving… you will be disappointed.

Comfortable place to stay with good amenities, but it’s a little scuffed.
Our room was clean but a little under maintained. Door had been kicked far too often and a wall sconce was simply missing, the holes in the wall gave it away.
DirecTV in HD on the set was fine, but wifi was troublesome and the iPad just didn’t like it, can’t explain it.
This Hampton Inn serves absolutely the exact same breakfast on the same plastic plates as every other: fresh waffles, «bagel toppers», pre-​fab omelets, oatmeal, yogurts, breads, juices and hot brown water *cough* sorry I mean coffee :). A huge bonus that morning was a big bowl of fresh, ripe raspberries, I could have eaten them all. And free is the best price.
Impossibly convenient for visiting Cisco and SanDisk which are right next door.
A great choice for a hundred bucks, less attractive if you’re paying a multiple of that.

Spent one night during Memorial Day Weekend. Was surprised it was not busy. Nice quiet environment. The rooms looked clean and they had little post-​its on the beds that says all the duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases, etc were clean.
Free wi-​fi in the rooms and free breakfast in the morning.
Their showers were so powerful… it felt like having a water massage on my back/​neck. Beds were comfy but the pillows lack any support. Although they do give you plenty of pillows but it just made it awkward to sleep on.
It’s right across the street from a shopping center that has really good restaurants. But since this place is located at the end of a cul-​da-​sac, it was still very quiet.
Overall… not a bad place to stay… However next time, I would bring my own pillow.

This Hampton Inn is pretty standard, no frills. Complimentary breakfast in the morning (although the breakfast spread falls short of other Hampton Inns. They make up for it somewhat however, because they prepare bagged «breakfast to go» for guests so if you’re in a rush you can still start your day with a meal.
There are only four floors here, and unlike some other Hampton Inns, there are coin laundry facilities on site.
This hotel is also at the end of a cul-​de-​sac so it’s pedestrian-​friendly. Across the street is McCarthy Ranch, which is an area of Asian (mainly Chinese and Japanese) restaurants, bakeries, and general eateries. You should be adventurous if you eat there though, because the menus of these places don’t really cater to English-​speakers, but you shouldn’t have trouble getting something to eat. But across the freeway a short drive/​walk away are your standard American fare — In-​And-​Out, McDonald’s, Togo’s, Applebee’s, etc…
Which brings me to my main concern about this place. It’s located right at the intersection of freeways 237 and 880, so if you’re driving it gets kind of congested around rush hour. But really, my concern was about noise level. Fortunately, I can say that auto noise never bothered me, but I was lucky enough to get a room facing away from the freeway. I don’t know if noise is an issue if you’re staying in a room facing the freeway.
I stayed here three nights and had a fine time. Perhaps a bit overpriced, but it is in the heart of Silicon Valley.

The Hampton Inn is a pretty consistent chain in the US. Nice rooms, nice people, comfy beds, and a free breakfast. Pretty much what you want in an Inn from a business perspective.
I would normally give it a four, but this one gets a three for a few reasons. One, it is a bit more expensive than the Staybridge Suites, and with Staybridge you get a free dinner on the weeknights as well as a free breakfast, and there is a small «pantry» where you can purchase products all times of day or night (water, toiletries, food… etc.)
I am now convinced that all the hotels in SJC go through crappy wireless services for their Internet access, and none of them understand the concept of bandwidth. Like most other hotels in SJC, the Internet access maxes out at .3Mb/​s, which doesn’t really allow for VPNs back into the office or any type of streaming. Many other hotels in many other cities of comparable size max out at 1Mb/​s. So, I can’t really dock The Hampton for basically being at par with all the other hotels.
If you are up late, there is no food/​water options, which is normal for the Hampton, but it is not conveniently located to anyplace that you can (except Walmart… and you do NOT want to go to the Walmart in Milpitas).
So, it’s a good place, but a bit more expensive than some others (no discount for Cisco). Still not a bad place to stay for a day or two of business.

In the course of multiple business travels I’ve had the pleasure of staying at many a Hampton Inn across the country. I like they are all consistently the same, the breakfast is decent and the rooms are comfortable. The problem I have with this particular location is it’s proximity to the freeway. If you stay here you must request a room that does not face the freeway. Holy mother of God, it’s called a double-​paned window, look into them. Other than enjoying the dulcet tones of the occassional semi or Harley passing by I suppose it was an okay night. Kudos to having multiple food establishments within walking distance in addition to a Crowne Plaza with a full bar.

Stayed here 3 nights for business. Typical of other Hampton Inns, positive stay. Clean enough. Would come here again.
Great location, right off the intersection of 880 and 237.
Based on corporate pricing, the only thing cheaper in the Milpitas, San Jose, and Santa Clara areas was a Holiday Inn.
Based on my stay…
PROS:
* Friendly and helpful front desk.
* Comfy bed with down comforter.
* Large bathroom. Countertops and walls of tub made of Corian (man-​made solid surface). In addition to countertop, had a Corian ledge that ran along the length of the mirror, which was nice for laying out toiletries.
* Free internet (or maybe internet was free because I booked through corporate). Internet speed decent. They have wireless in the rooms.
* Free breakfast. They also have brown bag «Breakfast on the Go» for you to take.
* Surprised by the quality of the iron — didn’t at all leak/​drip water on my clothes, which sometimes leaves a faint, mineral-​y residue on clothes. My silk blouses appreciated this.
* Could find a decent parking spot even though the hotel was sold out.
* Decent-​sized non-​flat-​screen TV.
CONS:
* No bathroom fan to take away moisture. Additionally the bathroom door had spring that made it close, keeping dampness in.
* Some dark mildew on tub walls and bottom of shower curtain. Areas of soiled carpet.
* Water pressure low, showers took forever.
* No central air, wall-​mounted unit by window. (Didn’t use).
* Can hear normal-​volume conversations through the walls, but my neighbors were all quiet at night.
* Hair dryer could have been more powerful.
* Closet fairly small, about the length of a single «normal» door (though this doesn’t really bother me).
* Slowest elevator everrr
TIP:
Food — Milpitas Square is directly across the street, within short walking distance. Tons of Asian restaurants. Some of my favorites being Penang Garden and Kee Wah Bakery (Hong Kong style bakery). Ranch 99 (Asian supermarket chain) is also there for convenience in case you need anything (though I can’t guarantee it will smell like your local Walgreen’s/CVS Pharmacy :)

So we needed a local get away. This place is really nice. Not too many people know about it, so its not busy or over crowded! Really clean and neat. None smoking, so it doesn’t stink up the place. Breakfeast is yummie, front desk is very helpful.
We really like it here, this is our 4 time coming, and I can defiantly say there will be more to come!

This is somewhat an underated hotel. Not too many area familiar with the Hampton Inn line of hotels. They are actually part of the Hilton Family brand of hotels. So if you are a Hilton Honors member, staying at the Hampton Inn will add to your stays.
I stayed at this Hampton Inn location not too long ago. The place is very clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful.
The service and value of the rooms here are actually better than my stay at the Luxor in Vegas.
Each stay includes complimentary breakfast in the mornings. Each room also has a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. The rooms also have internet access included. Of course you need to have your own laptop.
My only complaint is I stayed on a weekend, and it looks like on the weekends they only staff to a bare minimum. So things might not get done right away, but they are very courteous, and take into consideration the situation with their staffing.
I would definitely stay here again.
