Not very customer service friendly. I e-​mailed Laser Alliance and many other companies a drawing of what I wanted to be etched onto acrylic. Other companies which I won’t name responded with certain pricing, or instructions on what needed to be done to make the task feasible. From reading previous reviews, Alan seems to pick and choose who he decides to be rude to. Unfortunately, I received unprofessional responses back when I was simply asking for specific direction so that we could reach a common goal. I assumed that’s what a business does with their customers. I also assume his future response to this will not be as rude since it is in public form.

Terrible experience. This guy Alan is very unprofessional. He totally refused to work with me after we talked about the job, I drove to Milpitas from Oakland to drop the material to him. At first he was great and offered extra help and I thought I really found a great fabricator for life. Then he absolutely refused to cut for me because I asked him to break down the quote for m
e so I know what I am paying for and how the pricing works. He screwed up my deadline, my client and wasted my time big time. Unbelievably mean and unprofessional. Worst person I have ever interacted with.

As an artist with very high expectations for fabrication I have been thrilled with the work Alan at Laser Alliance has done for me!
I have small complicated orders which require a fair amount of back and forth, both in person and via email. Alan has been endlessly helpful and patient on these jobs which do not make him very much money.
Great customer service and communication. I recommend him highly!
In fact, I have discovered an outlet for (some of) my fabrication which is much closer to my house and I continue to drive to Milpitas to work with him because of his care, attention to detail and high level of customer service.

Laser Alliance has been my go to sign maker for several projects and they are always fast and responsive and provide great quality work! They have helped me out with rush orders, shipping in less than a business day in some cases. I would recommend them to anyone!

I was treated rudely by Alan from Laser Alliance, which was disappointing since at first it seemed like his shop would be perfect to help with my class project for my Mechanical Engineering course at SJSU. I asked for a quote for rushed work, and Alan’s first quote was great even offering one business day turnaround. However, one of my team members decided to attempt to do some cutting of material on his own, so I asked Alan to hold off but said that I’d still use him if my classmate made a mistake or wasn’t able to do a good enough job today. I didn’t ask for any faster turnaround time — just either a one day delay or to cancel the order. Alan’s email response was RUDE, saying I should «not do this again» and «the quote is no longer valid.» I was shocked by such a rude reply — so much so that I assumed that he might have started the work without my approval of the preview proof he sent but that I had not yet approved. As such, being the nice guy I am, I have offered to reimburse him for any material he may have lost if he did jump the gun on production before getting my approval of his proof. I guess we’ll see if he’s the kind of person who runs a business to help all customers or just to turn a profit from bigger clients.

wow what a company. had to get a stencil cut and the prices were just so low i couldnt resist. alan was even answering my emails at 1030PM? who does that nowadays! super fast responses and too. quality of work on that stencil was perfect. i even made the drive from SF to milpitas just to meet alan. i would totally come back to get my laser cutting needs done. thanks alan, what a pleasant first transaction

Laser Alliance promised to cut some leather parts for us, and then only until they did a sample piece did they tell us that they could not do it. This was really inconvenient for us as we had to scramble to get our parts made with someone else. However, they did come through on getting us some prototype parts made, and they did it quickly without question. Those were of very good quality.

I have worked with Laser Alliance twice now and both times, I have received outstanding service. Alan, the owner, is an extremely nice guy and will go out of his way to make sure your job is done correctly. The turnaround is quick and the prices are very competitive.
I really can’t recommend them highly enough. If you need something laser etched, engraved, or cut, Alan is your man.
