Our mission is to create professionally-made pastries anyone can enjoy, even those with food allergies or vegan dietary restrictions. Our two main product lines are egg-free/dairy-free/nut-free and gluten-free/dairy-free/nut-free, but any allergy combination or dietary restriction can be accommodated upon request.
We offer cakes, cupcakes, dairy-free cheesecakes, cookies, and assorted pastries. We do not have a retail location at this time. All products are baked to order (minimum three days notice required) and can be picked up from our Milpitas location or delivered to your door.
History
Established in 2008.
Let Them Eat Cake!: The Allergy-Friendly Patisserie was started in May 2008 by the husband and wife team of Amanda Macdessi (Executive Pastry Chef) and Jason Kraft (Business Manager).
Our philosophy is that desserts for people with food allergies and dietary restrictions should be just as good as traditional desserts, and we bet you won’t be able to tell the difference.

I run the business side of Let Them Eat Cake: The Allergy Friendly Patisserie, including business development, advertising, and accounting… plus I deliver the orders!
I have allergies to dairy, eggs and nuts, and it has always been difficult to find professionally-made cakes and pastries I could eat. My wife Amanda, a pastry chef, has had years of experience making allergy-friendly desserts, and we decided to start this business in 2008 so everyone can benefit.
