Lock It Up Self Storage – Milpitas

Ok, you get 2 stars because of your pricing. They gave us a discount per month because they didn’t have much business. Bob is a rule enforcer. I get it but, you don’t have to yell at me like I’m 2 years old. I’m glad I don’t have to deal with him anymore.

There really needs to be a way to down vote bad and useless reviews, the idiot who blocked the driveway and had to have a cop stop traffic for her to get out has no business having a bearing on this business’s rating. I did share a laugh with the ‘angry old man’ and the ‘old lady’ about it, both of whom are nice if you’re not an idiot.
Clean facilities, well run and maintained, and basically everything one needs in a storage place, as long as you don’t mind carrying your stuff up stairs if you get an upstairs unit (no elevators).

First of all, I don’t know why the person before me reviewed and gave this business 1 star if she was not even a customer (entitled people these days). «Talk about bad business ethics! Even before you become a customer!»…SO you were planning on becoming a customer after your car broke down there? OK.
I am actual customer and I happen to be very satisfied with the service here. First of all, I feel even better knowing that the business owners protect the property of their customers by kicking out people who have no business there. TALK ABOUT SECURITY! Bob is a retired Marine so I know he is on top of security and professionalism. He is strict on the rules of the compound and does not tolerate ANYONE breaking them. I have zero complaints about this business. 5 stars from me!

Talk about bad business ethics! Even before you become a customer!
On my way home from work, I had car trouble & had to pull into the big driveway of this business. Put the car in park & dialed AAA.
While I was idling, I noticed there was an old man sitting on a metal fold out chair, facing some old lady & they looked upset. About 5 minutes later the angry old man was up against my window shouting, «EXCUSE MA’AM! Is there something I can help you with!»
I rolled down my window with a perplexed look, cell phone on speaker listening to the AAA agent, & told him with a smile, «Hi, I’m sorry but there is something wrong with my gas gauge & I think I’m running out of gas even though it says i have 35 miles to go. & I’m on the phone with AAA trying to get help & I cant back up to the 76 driveway because my car stalls. & there is too much on coming traffic.»
His reply? «Well that’s not my problem! Your gonna have to get out of here! This is private property & your blocking my driveway! You need to leave!»
WOW, I was astonished by this jerks reaction. Where is chivalry these days to help a damsel in distress. Instead I got my head bit off. I rolled up my window in his mid sentence which made him more angry & he threatened to call the cops. Then he proceeded to read my license plate to them. When he retreated, his bitter old wife came out with a pointed finger yelling, «YOU NEED TO LEAVE! YOU NEED TO LEAVE! THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY!»
Calling the cops was the best thing he could have done. Officer Eric Emmanuelle also called AAA personally & got them on the scene in less than 10 mins, gave me the $ 5 bucks I needed to pay AAA for the gallon of gas, & blocked traffic while i backed up into the 76 gas station. Thanks Officer Eric! :D
