Didn’t answer the phone when I tried to place an order for pickup. When I arrived, yet placed order incorrectly. Had to wait even longer for them to remake it. Probably won’t come back.

Really not a fan I think their portion sizes are way to small for what they charge also they make you pay at another counter when you go to Peets coffee which doesn’t make since to me

This particular location seems to be staffed by some people of the special in quotes variety, if you catch my drift. We had a fairly simple order for our office. –Caprese with extra red pepper pesto –Club with no pickles or onions –Tuna melt –other tasty things We picked up the order promptly and returned to our office. No complaints so far. It’s when we unwrapped our sandwiches that we realized the«special» nature of the people that prepared our sandwiches. — Caprese had actual red peppers on it instead of red pepper pesto(red peppers are not normally on this) — Club had NOMEAT on it… I mean… seriously… — Tuna was fine To their credit and why they get two stars is because I spoke to a very friendly customer support person that tried to make it right by having new sandwiches delivered to our office along with two free cookies for next time. Sounds great, right? I made sure to tell her that our office is not labeled with the company name, but there is a large suite number. She quoted 15 – 20 minutes at most for the food delivery. At the time of this writing, I’ve called back again to ask where our food is and they claimed an issue with the address. They have my number, but still have not called it. The replacement sandwiches are now going on 50 minutes and are nowhere in sight. To recap: –Messed up a simple order –Didn’t deliver the replacements they promised –The people involved in the food prep and delivery must not be all that bright. Taking a moment to read the order properly and/or call me would have prevented all of these unfortunate circumstances. Please excuse me while I have a lovely lunch consisting of a cookie and an Izze fruit soda because that’s all I have to show for this. Update: After another 30 minutes of waiting, the sandwiches are finally here.

I really love Specialty’s sandwiches. I have to say this location’s staff members are much friendlier and more helpful compared to the one on first street. When I ordered from the kiosk, it didn’t ask me if I wanted take out or to dine in so they automatically assumed I was going to dine in. When I went to pick up my sandwiches they were all unwrapped. I requested for them to wrap it for me and the guy behind the counter was really nice about the whole thing and the kitchen staff was quick to help me wrap the sandwiches and have them ready to go. In general, the food is the same(sandwiches at the first street location were neater in a sense of presentation but I will discount this on the fact that they didn’t know they had to prepare the sandwiches for a to go order) still super delicious but the service really made a big difference.

Love the ambiance, the food & the service! Plus… there’s Peet’s Coffee!!! prices are on a high end, but it’s expected for the quality of food & your entire dining or take out experience. Strongly prefer & recommend this place over Subway, and Peet’s over Starbucks.

A lot better than subway or Quiznos. They have more choices in terms of sandwiches, soup and pastries.

Cookies are the best here. Put one in the microwave and you’re all set. Other than that, the Caprese sandwich is always really solid for me. It’s a great place to have lunch or take out from with free Wifi inside.

This is my first time here at Specialty’s Café and Bakery. I came in on a Tuesday morning at about 10:30 a.m. it was before the lunch crowd and after the breakfast crowd. there was plenty of seating no waiting and they still had the day old pastries. Ordered the sticky pecan roll and the Santa Fe chicken tortilla soup with a side of Akash separate. My total came to $ 6.72. all the tables were clean and wipe down it was a nice day so I decided to sit outside those tables were clean as well. I am using their wifi and I am having no problems with it. Customer service: As soon as I walked in I was greeted by MaryAnn from the front counter. I was a bit indecisive about which soup to get so I chose one and she offered to let me sample all four different soups as to not be stuck with the soup that I might not enjoy. I tasted awful shoes and they were all equally delicious however I opted for the Santa Fe chicken. I received great customer service and I am so happy with this place as a consumer. Food: I ordered a sticky bun tand a tortilla chicken soup and I am thoroughly enjoying it. The tortilla soup had so many delicious spices the chicken was shredded just how I like it and with the side of caution bread that completed my soup. I also had a pecan roll and I noticed how nice and flaky the dough was and not too sweet which made it delicious in to my liking. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a place with artisan sandwiches and also the good old ham and cheese sandwich, please head on over to Specialty’s Café and Bakery. With a variety of choices from sandwiches to pastries to great coffee I’m sure you’ll be a return customer just like me!

Almost $ 9 for a sandwich?! No thanks. I got the Rebecca, and it was pretty average. The bread is good, but there was some weird taste in the sandwich. I think maybe the coleslaw had a taste that didn’t appeal to me very much. Ordering online is pretty nice; the food is ready when you get there. Also you can add up to 5 toppings(a lot of which are free) to your sandwich. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here though; almost $ 9 for a sandwich that wasn’t amazing and for that size just isn’t worth it.

This place is over-rated — the food is okay just your typical sandwiches — I like Togo’s and Quizno’s more over this place. I guess its the convenience you pay for its close to work walking distance. A bit pricey for what you get — not the greatest value!

I’m updating my review. I decided to give this place another try. I ordered the Caprese Sandwich(No Pesto, sub Sourdough bread). The sandwich was tasty. It had a little too much spinach packed on it and the bread was a little burnt but nothing I couldn’t eat. I would have loved if the sandwich were warmed but it’s actually a cold one. I took it to work, popped it in the microwave for 30 seconds and indulged ! The melted cheese was a huge difference. Yum! I’ll be back, to try more sandwiches and their baked goods!

I ordered the All Meat Tray, 2 Veggie sandwiches and 11 assorted cookies online and was scheduled to pick-up today at 11:30 am. I didn’t get there until 11:45 because they’re location was pretty difficult to find! They are in the middle of a business area(no signs or anything) so if it’s your first time finding this place you really have to drive around, pay attention and ask someone to point you to the right direction. Google maps failed me so I had to call Specialty’s 1 – 800 number which took at least 10 mins to get transferred to the actual store(I now have their direct phone # but I’m not going to post it here since they said they don’t like giving it out.) The person I spoke to didn’t even know what the business area’s name was or if it even had one. So I get there to pick up my order– the sandwich tray was sitting on the lunch shelf. All I had to do was literally grab my order and go. Didn’t have to show anybody my confirmation # nor was anybody there to check if my order was complete. Too convenient in my opinion as anybody can just grab whatever’s on the shelf. As I was about to leave, I noticed that the cookies I ordered were missing. So I ask one of their employees regarding my missing cookies. She checks inside the sandwich tray and says, «These are just sandwiches. There’s no cookies in here.» Um. YES, that’s what I just told you and besides, WHYWOULDONEPUT11COOKIESINSIDE A TRAYFULLOFSANDWICHES? I had to wait 10 more mins but the good thing was the manager(I assume) was very apologetic. She gave me a complimentary brownie and was kind enough to have someone help me carry the food to my car. Yes, the brownie was good and the engineers that I work with LOVE their cookies so my company will probably continue ordering from this place. For those who don’t work inside the business area, I recommend having your order delivered to your office instead of picking up. If it were up to me though, I wouldn’t come here to pay $ 8 for a mediocre sandwich :(

They currently have the dark chocolate walnut cookies. OMG so delicious. i work around the corner from this amazing place and every few days we have to come here for a cookie. I am usually partial to the semi-sweet chunk cookie but now that they have dark chocolate, that is my go to. You can’t beat their spinach strawberry and goat cheese salad. MY absolute FAVE. You are missing out if you don’t try to come find this hidden gem. Also their sticky buns are scrumptious!

I will always love Specialty’s even when I don’t order a cookie. There is only one location in the Fremont/Milpitas area so thank goodness they have this one in the business area. There seems to be so many locations in the Mountain View/SF area and I just wish it expanded further to San Jose because I just lovee their cookies! It would also be nice if they were open on the weekends but I get that since it is located in the business area, it is only open on weekdays. This Specialty’s is pretty hidden so you may get lost. It is located right next to Peet’s amongst work buildings. I ordered the cranberry turkey sandwich and it was delicious! The lettuce was crispy and the cranberries added a nice taste to it. I lovee sandwiches with sprouts as well. What really hit the spot was the poppyseed bread that it came with. I could eat the bread for days and everything together just made for a great lunch. I do have to say that you are paying around $ 7 for a fairly small sandwich. I was pretty surprised to find that it was so small, and I dont really eat much. I know for others this would not satisfy a person and would definitely have to order some soup or chips on the side. I kept eying their cookies and was so proud that I did not get one. Each cookie is about 450 calories but they are honestly oh so good. I saw the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie and my mouth was watering. You will not understand how big those chocolate chip cookies are until you have seen them. They arent even chips but more like huge chunks of heaven. **TIPS** 1) Only open on weekdays. 2) You can order online, in line, or on the computers they have at the location so that you can customize what you want on your sandwich. I might try that next time because on set sandwiches, you can even add sprouts. 3) Get a cookie. Any cookie. It will make your day. If it is your first time, get the semi-sweet cookie and you will not regret it. 4) They sell their cookie mixes at this location! 5) Enjoy!

I love the pastrami sandwich at Specialty’s. It’s my go to and I’ve never been let down. Also, the black and white cookie is delicious as well. If you eat a full sandwich and a cookie, you may reach a breaking point… but it’s a good breaking point… you feel full and satisfied!
