History

Established in 1999.

Founded in 1999 by partners Dave Belyea and Sharon Mulcahy, Jackrabbit has grown into one of the larger design firms in the Boston area with a total of 16 full-​time employees. As we’ve grown, so has our list of clients and varied service offerings. We have worked with some of the biggest companies in the country and have helped to launch many venture-​backed start-​ups.

Business Owner

Since we started the company, I think I have held over a dozen different positions here. I’ve been everything from a print designer to a web designer, a strategist to a project manager. I think my latest role is my favorite.

Dave’s entrepreneurial spirit was the catalyst for starting the company with Sharon back in 1999. Although he still plays an active role in devising strategies for clients, his primary responsibility nowadays is heading up account services and new business development for Jackrabbit.

As a child, Dave loved watching the big-​time ad guys in the movies, pitching to the CEOs and boards of big-​time companies. Now, he’s one of them. Well before this venture, however, he mastered the art of working the crowd as a bartender. That experience served as good preparation for working with clients from all walks of life, and in mastering the art of «the pitch.» When it goes well, the Jackrabbits’ collective creativity paired with Dave’s pitch fit the bill
