Last time I visited, I found out that Julie isn’t there anymore! Sadness. If she is at a new place I would like to know — I would see her there.

This is one of those times that I wrote the review in my head so often, I just assumed I had posted it on Unilocal.I guess not. I have been here several times and have had a mixed bag of experiences. It is not a warm and cozy spa. My mom, sister-in-law, and I went here once for a girl’s outing and it really doesn’t work well for that. There is no nice place to sit and wait. The building feels a bit like an old school. I swear it is the same flooring as Sherman Elementary School. I have had 4 or 5 massages here. The first few women I had no longer work there but they were all decent. Then I had Thor who was nice but really too gentle even when I asked for hard. He does a fun foot thing though. Then I went here last week after I really hurt my shoulder lugging some big suitcases around. The receptionist recommended Orlando and I am so glad she did. He was great. As I asked, he spent the whole hour on my back and neck. He did stretching, deep tissue, hot stone, and who knows what else. I was sad to learn that he was booked up for the rest of my stay in town or I would have returned again. I am in Milwaukee a few times a year visiting the fam, so I will definitely be looking up Orlando again.(Although he sounded eager to move away…) My one complaint last time is that they didn’t tell me about the special deal going on. I returned home after my massage to read an e-mail that would have saved me $ 10. D’oh! I know I wasn’t their target because I was going to go in even without the $ 10 draw but I was bummed not to get the savings. :( one hour massage is $ 70.

Received a nice massage and everyone is super nice however the waiting area is a big draw back. There were three of us and we had to wait in the door way in the cold with shoes off until called to go upstairs for our massages. So the massage was good but the experience was disapointing. Would have been nicer to sit together before and after in comfy chairs sipping tea.

I have been going to Apple a Day to see Jay now for almost two years. He is an excellet massage therapist. He is very professional, and gives the best massages I’ve ever received. The prices are very standard as far as I can tell, but you get referral discounts and birthday discounts, which really help! The rest of the staff I’ve encountered have been very helpful and friendly as well. Highly recommended.

These guys offer everything from massages to acupuncture and Chinese herbs to a wide variety of classes. I can vouch for the Thursday night Tai Chi personally, having been to three classes now. Instructor Tom Hollander is careful, precise, and encouraging – a perfect combination to keep newbies inspired. The«JointYoga» class they offered in cooperation with an animal chiropractor from Marshall, WI was informative and useful. For such a wide range of options, this place gets a double-thumbs-up as a community resource from me.
