Ran into the Grand Ave — Downtown Milwaukee store to get some black shoes. They had some Calvin Klein ones I liked marked down from $ 115 to $ 99. They had signs all around saying take another 50% of this, another 30% off that, but apparently these shoes were still $ 99. I was going to buy them, a CK belt and black socks, along with a $ 60 Wisconsin Badger athletic fleece. Kimberly S. hooked me up! She had a slew of coupons she worked and I ended up paying only $ 124 FOR EVERYTHING! Receipt says I saved 124, so I basically got all my quality gear for 50% off. Thanks! –that was a nice Christmas gift.

We came in here looking for a statement necklace and nylons and left with both those items in an efficient and timeline manner, so A+ for that Boston Store. We also encountered a hilariously wonderful, and somewhat eccentric woman, working in the ladies accessories department whose name I wish I got because WOW. Adorable.
I liked this place. I’d been warned it certainly wasn’t the hippest spot in Milwaukee, but I liked it’s quaintness and the staff were so kind and friendly. They seem to offer a ton of deals and discounts and even have their own app. I feel like it’s a great spot to cross a bunch of items off your list.
We only got a chance to shop in the ladies section, but they had a ton of great jewelry items and loads on sale. A great spot if you’re looking for something specific.

Someone promote Alexis C in juniors/women’s to QUEEN OF THIS AND ALL BOSTON STORES IMMEDIATELY please and thank you.
Seriously though. I’ve been to better Boston Stores — and what this one lacks in «stuff» and selection it makes up for in convenience to Unilocal MKE HQ — but I’ll tell you what: I have never, never, ever encountered a more awesome Boston Store employee than Alexis C in all my years of roaming their aisles.
She got me hip to the Boston Store app and while I was downloading it (pro tip: you can save mad scrill w/​this thing, you guys) she used HER app and account to save me even more money on my sale items. THEN she explained to me how the app works (it sounds pretty okay) and THEN she sent me to the Clinique counter so I could score a free 10-​day supply of some new miracle serum they’re hocking.
So in short, I came, I saved, I saved more, and then I scored free magic face serum all as a result of the extremely friendly and helpful and outgoing Alexis C. High fives, girl. You’re going places in life.

I really don’t shop at department stores I find them very overwhelming and confusing, if the store’s name doesn’t end with «Maxx «or ‘Shalls ’ :) you won’t find me there. The only time I shop at this store is during their Family and Friends event and the Goodwill Sale they have twice year (Spring-Mar.and Fall –Sept.). I buy my designer fragrances around this time. I was walking through the mall, I decided to browse through the clearance and with my coupon for the Family and Friends event, I scored a Fossil wallet originally $ 45 it was on sale $ 32.99 with my FF discount and in-​store coupon I paid drumroll…$ 18. I don’t play when it comes to my bargains:).

I think this is supposed to be Boston Store’s flagship store, you wouldn’t know from it’s presentation. Four stars for sticking with the location though, it’s really convenient and I’m happy that this place has saved me some trips out to a ‘mart just to pick up something simple. They could really stand to bring the selection more up to date. Especially the clothing.

I am glad this Boston Store continues in this day amd age. I remember the Grand Avenue Mall in its heyday in the mid 1980s. It is sadly not the same. Im an urban dweller so I support this store.
I did a bang up job in finding holiday gifts for my family here. And I’ve had success in finding professional clothing and accessories. On my visit today I was in search of upscale makeup and I received expert assistance so Im happy.
I want to see Milwaukee’s downtown thrive so I will choose to frequent this store when I can rather than drive to the suburbs. I am grateful for the accessibility and want to see my neighborhood flourish!

Looks like they got all of Macy’s defective wares or 5 year old clearance items.
This store does NOT exist outside of this area and definitely not in the real boston.
It was located in the most GHETTO and desolate «mall» ive ever been to in life.
They have nothing, its terribe.

I went shopping in search of some clothes today. Seems like an easy project right? Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…
I’m a pretty stylish size 18 girl in my early 40’s. Let me just say holy EFFFFF is this place out of touch with women’s plus size fashion.
It went from bad to worse. There was a disgusting amount of elastic waistbands everywhere. I’m not talking jeggings, leggings and flat front pants. I’m talking elderly, matronly, unflattering, fashions. There were at least FOUR different gigantic racks of gathered elastic waistband, pastel –wide legged CROPPED pants.
Nothing says make my body look shorter and wider like a wide legged cropped pant. Thank you Boston store. I can’t wait to purchase them in all of your Easter egg throw up colors with coordinating cropped, boxy tops.
I spent over an hour searching for one item. ONE. I’m sure this company will say its a matter of personal taste. I took pictures. I can back this up. This is a case of being desperately out of touch with your marketplace. No one wants to be a caricature of a plus size person ever. I certainly don’t want to look like I’m shopping at hot topic. But how out of touch you and your buyers are is embarrassing.
I have a formal event to attend and looked for a dress. Wow… and that’s NOT a good wow. Seriously are the buyers convinced no one under 80 shops at Southridge? I thought that the direction of the mall was updating? You folks clearly missed that memo in spades.
Such a shame. Beautiful store.

Visited Boston Store during lunch on Feb 27 to pick up some shoe polish. While browsing men’s shoes, I saw two pairs of shoe’s that were on sale. Made the decision to buy them, good price and rubber soles, total was going to be about $ 200.
The shoe dept had nobody on the floor assisting customers so I walked to the shoe dept cashier area with the two demo shoes. I waited in line while she rung up the two people in front of me. When it was my turn I anticipated a greeting of some sort, maybe acknowledging my wait or asking if I found everything or simply a hello. After not receiving a greeting I said I was interested in trying on both shoes in size 11. The woman took the shoes and walked into the store room, again, no «I’ll be right back» or anything. When she returned with the shoes, she handed them to me, again no comment or offer of assistance. I tried on the shoes and both fit, as I’m taking the shoes off I decided that the service was so poor, that asking her to ring up my purchase was probably going to be another less than average experience (I really didn’t want to cause her extra work), so I left. Didn’t buy the shoes and didn’t buy the shoe polish. I called two friends who work in sales on my way to Culvers for lunch and shared this poor experience. My comment to both, it was my first AND last time shopping at a Boston Store.
Nordstrom, Macy’s and DSW all provide great service, thinking that maybe Barbara Hassler, the Boston Store Manager at this location might benefit from visiting one of the above. How many other consumers have made the decision to avoid this store because of this one specific sales rep’s poor attitude and lack of service and to shop elsewhere?

Recently started shopping here. Their prices are a little high but they have some great sales. Their iPhone app always has coupons. Good customer service.

I had never heard of this department store, and while stuck in Milwaukee one day, checked it out, looking for some fall sweaters.
Great sales. Cashmere at ridiculous prices. Great sale shoes!
Scarves and accessories at reasonable prices (all priced with CLEARANCE signs).
But, overall, typical standard department store garb. Most of the clothing looked like it was last decade’s hip hop, and old lady clothes.
They do carry a couple indie designers that I appreciate, but they were so overpriced I would never buy them here.
It was empty except for a few senior tourists and security guards. Not my scene… at all.

In Peoria we had Bergner’s, in Milwaukee it’s called the Boston Store. Same merchandise, same good sales and coupons, and the cashiers I’ve encountered are very friendly.
I have also found some made in USA clothing there, which is always refreshing to see.
If you have a Boston Store/Berner’s credit card, they will send you coupons including a birthday coupon.

Like every other Boston Store, JCPenny, or Macy’s, this place is a big box store with high prices for foreign made items. As far as stores in Grand Ave go, this place is stocked and well maintained. Staff is usually pretty okay.

This is Milwaukee’s version of our Carson Pieree Scott. In fact they may be owned by the same company. It is pleasure to shop here. The architecture may not be as stunning as Carson’s in Chicago, but inside is where your shopping takes place anyway. Each time I’ve been here the staff treated me well and was helpful. There is alot to do right in this part of town.
