The selection of clothing is all about what’s in style now a la Forever 21 but the prices are slightly cheaper. I haven’t had any of the security issues the other reviewer mentioned but I’m only giving this place 3 stars because the place isn’t super well organized and the staff isn’t the most helpful. These things definitely won’t keep me from coming back though, the prices are just too good! I’ve gotten crop tops and camis for under $ 5! You really can’t beat that, but if you can, please feel free to tell me! But be warned that you get what you pay for– so shrinkage may be in your clothes’ future… possibly, but hopefully not! You can’t try the clothes on in store but they have a 21 day return policy(sound familiar?) on everything except for jewelry, cosmetics, and lingerie. So make sure you want it, or be prepared to trek back out to Mayfair.

First off, I’ve been shopping at discovery clothing for several years now. As a college student, the prices were great and the clothes stylish enough(though don’t expect great quality) for this store to be one of my most shopped at in Chicago area and 27th street in Milwaukee. When the Mayfair location opened about a year or two ago, I was thrilled to have one much closer to home. Unfortunatly, this store falls horribly short in comparison with the others. Although much larger, this location has fewer new items and a whole lot less organization, so even if they have new items you would never know it because they get buried in with the old stuff. But the real problem here is the security staff/policy. Like high end designer stores such as Prada or Chanel, discovery employs a security staff(only it makes much less sense here, as you’d be hard pressed to find something in the store worth over 35 dollars). However unlike these high end stores, which pride themselves on customer service, discovery staff will blatantly follow you around like they are just waiting for you to steal something. I was able to ignore this, even though silently being accused of theft without reason doesn’t exactly put one in the shopping mood, until recently when a staff member told me my miniature backpack(about the size of both my hands cupped together-something j had shopped with countless times before) was not a purse and had to be left behind the front desk. Even after trying to reason with him and offering to let him look inside to see that there was no way I could fit the clothes I was carrying inside, he persisted that it was a backpack and had to be left at the front. All this from a store with no changing rooms and security sensors at the door– now I can’t even walk around knowing my things are safe without running into their ridiculous security measures. I simply put my things down and walked out — I will not be going back. Overall this chain is a cheaper alternative to the already cheap forever 21, and most of it’s stores are fine. This one though seems to place the safety of its cheap sweatshop merchandise above the satisfaction of their customers OR the sale of said merchandise, a senseless and rather sad business model.
