It’s an OK DDs… Make sure you get there early enough or there’ll be a long line going back to the escalators that take you up to the bank. The biggest criticism I have is the lack of parking. There are only a handful of spaces on water nearby and none on Wisconsin. I usually have to park a block or two down either way. I also don’t particularly care for the longer wait time that I usually experience. I’m glad I don’t work near there anymore so I don’t have much of a reason to go there.

Every other Dunkin Doughnuts location I have ever visited has impressed me with friendly staff and quick and accurate service. I was extremely disappointed the other day when I stopped here with my 3 year old son for breakfast on a late Friday morning. The woman taking my order seemed very irritated that I asked my son what he wanted to eat and waited a few seconds for him to respond. She openly rolled her eyes while I was looking right at her, like she wanted to let me know just how annoyed she was that I was letting my son choose what he wanted. After we ordered a big grilled ham and cheese to share as well as a few doughnuts, she asked if that was all. I started to say, «yes,» but immediately cut myself off to say, «oh wait, do you have apple juice?» She said no, but I could see bottles of Apple juice in a cooler behind her. Pointing, I asked, «what about those?» She rolled her eyes again and told me to step aside so she could start taking the next person’s order. I then just quietly waited for 3 or 4 minutes while she took that person’s entire order. When she turned back to me she said, «have you made up your mind yet?» I said, «I asked for Apple juice.» So, rolling her eyes yet again, she reached for the bottle, handed it and my cup of iced tea to me and told me my total. I paid her and then bent down to pick up my son, who had sat down on the floor because the transaction took twice as long as it needed to, and this woman had the audacity to say out loud to me, «would you move? Other people are waiting.» I hate confrontation, so I only stared at her with a sort of shocked disgust for about 2 seconds before just walking away with my son to the end of the counter to pick up our food. After another 4 or 5 minutes a different woman handed me the paper bag, saying nothing but, «grilled cheese?» With an extremely grumpy tone and expression. I smiled and said, «yes, thank you.» She, very indifferently, just handed me the bag and turned away with no more response. My son and I went outside to go for a walk along the river while we ate. I discovered that they did not put any ham on our sandwich(at that point, I checked my receipt, it said«ham» on it), and it was the greasiest bread I had ever experienced. It was the first and last time I ever order a grilled cheese from any Dunkin Doughnuts. The doughnuts were great, thank goodness, but my iced tea was also disgusting. It tasted rancid, like it was really old. My first sip was nauseating. I chose not to bother going back inside to complain because I felt like wasting my money just throwing the whole cup of tea away was worth not having to interact with those employees again. I will never visit this location ever again and I hope that these women lose their jobs soon. With so many decent people struggling to find work, it sickens me when people, who clearly have no idea what it means to work in the service industry, continue to be employed when they so obviously do not deserve it. This review received the one star, only because the franchise, at large, still makes pretty good doughnuts.

My friend & I hit up DD every Friday — it’s become a bit of a tradition ever since they moved in to the Chase building actually. The main problems are: 1. They already had a price increase after only being there for a few months 2. The donuts seem to vary a lot from week to week; sometimes they’re bigger than others, sometimes they’re kind of dry, sometimes they’re majorly lacking in the sprinkles department. The staff is always pretty nice, but if you order any kind of breakfast sandwich /coffee it’s not the fastest service around.

Whatever happened to businesses that take customer service serious? When this location first opened, the service was superior and quality of food was fresh and tasty. Now… If you don’t order a pastry before noon, forgettaboutit! Stale with a capital S! I ordered a huge box of munchkin donuts for a book club meeting and I was completely embarrassed. All of the donuts were in editable because they were hard as a rock. We literally dropped them on the floor and they cracked in a million pieces. If you order food, make sure you watch them like a hawk! They scratched their face, butt and heads, and then go right back into touching your food. When you call them on it they get an attitude. The workers look filthy and most(not all) are rude.

Normally, I would give the ol’ DD a 4 star, but this location is sub par when it comes to my Dunkin standards. The only reason I go, and why most people go(I assume) is convenience. It’s the closest DD to my work. And usually a $ 0.99 iced coffee after 3:00pm can’t be beat… but… The service is slow. Always. No matter if there is a line half way out the door, or you are the first to walk up to the counter, you will wait for something. Something to be stocked, someone to get off their break, some coffee emergency. You WILL be late to work. So hopefully, you brought the office some doughnuts. The coffee: I have completely thrown out a full coffee(On more than one occasion. When shall I learn?) due to over sweetening. I swear, the workers of DD want to rot my teeth and stomach with the amount of sugar they add to my drinks… even when I specify just a little, and hold up my hand to make the smallest«little» symbol with my thumb and pointer finger. SUGARHIGH!!! The only reason I go back? Convenience and the hopes that they will get it right. What can I say? I’m a forever optimist. It’s a 50⁄50 gamble they will make you a decent coffee. Other option is that you will taste, throw it away, come to your senses, and walk across the street to Sven’s. Today I lost that gamble, and ended up at Sven’s. Short story: You would be far better off with some gas station coffee. Just sayin.

This is a much needed addition to downtown. Its in the lower level of the Chase building. The employees were really friendly and their product is fresher than the the location on West Wisconsin ave. I bought my favorite munchkins. I will be going back, its easy to find you can’t miss the mascot outside the building. There’s ample seating available. They are open at 6:30 am during the week.

This is a newly opened location. They need more time to work out their employees, training and get a flow down for orders. My wait in line was minimal, as was the time to receive my order and employees were very friendly. However, the item I ordered was not what I found in my bag once back at my desk. It tasted great, but accuracy and order announcement needs improvement. I think things will get better over the next few weeks. Big plus for extended hours 7a-7pm, open 7 days a week. As well as location — right in the Chase Tower on the ground level. Hopefully, I can update my review based upon a future visit. They are a welcome addition to our office tower and the downtown area.
