History

Established in 1954.

In 2002, Group 4 Falck purchased The Wackenhut Corporation, a company founded in Florida in 1954. In 2004, Group 4 Falck A/​S merged with Securicor plc to establish a new company named G4S plc. That merger brought together a number of respected security businesses – principally Securicor, Group 4, Falck and Wackenhut. In 2010, The Wackenhut Corporation officially changed its name to G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc.
