Howell House Bazaar offers an assortment of antiques, art and jewelry. Seeking an odd mix of religious, occult and Irish themed items? If so, you’re in the right spot. One wall is covered with paintings of the Last Supper and the like. But, you need only turn around and you can spot several Oujia boards scattered throughout the store. How about a poster of Irish landscapes? Look around, you’ll find it here. Their taxidermy was of particular interest to me. The day I visited, they had a beautiful fox and owl(amongst other animals) that appeared to be in good condition and they seemed to be charging fair prices. Howell House Bazaar is quite literally a house. In fact, I wondered which areas where welcome for shoppers and which were private living quarters. It appears as though the entire first floor is open for customers. Personally, I found the loud, metal music a bit off-putting and cut my browsing short. But, if you are looking for antiques, art and jewelry that are a bit out of the ordinary you’ve come to the right place.
