Horrible customer service. They got our order wrong. Hung up on us when we called to place an order. We ordered buffalo fish they gave us buffalo chicken. Last time I recalled chicken and fish is not the same thing. They need to keep in mind that customers are the people that keep you in business!

There is no place that makes fried chicken like this place! Whenever my family and I have a get together we always need JJs Chicken with fries. I just wish there was a location on the south side.

I was first introduced to JJ’s back in 2009 while serving for AmeriCorps at Habitat for Humanity. There were countless times we’d grab lunch at JJ’s while out and about and I was never disappointed. I have been a long time lover of their chicken, especially the secret seasoning they use… SOGOOD. I try not to do the fast food thing too often but have been meaning to go back soon. MMMMM, it is calling my name. Oh, and I don’t give a $**t about night or dark, I will go whenever I darn well please and support all of my local communities and neighborhoods as best I can.

Ok, so I’d never go after dark. And the first time I went, some guy kept trying to sell me bootleg dvds out of a backpack. Once you taste the food, nothing else will matter. The chicken is some of the best I’ve ever had, and I don’t even know how to describe the delicious seasoning sprinkled over the top.

I was unimpressed with the fish. But, maybe I’ll give it one more shot and try the chicken. The price is indeed reasonable. But the neighborhood is dodgy. I wouldn’t go after dark either and felt a little uneasy during the day based on the bullet proof glass.

This is not a place I would feel safe going to after dark. You order through bulletproof glass, and the place has benches but no tables. The food is fantastic and cheap. I got the six piece chicken for 8.99, ate as much as I could, and gave the other half to the kid begging for change in the parking lot.

OK I consider myself a chicken wing connoisseur at this point. I have often been skeptical of any place called«fill in the blank» chicken and fish. With that said, we needed a quick meal, had a taste for fried chicken, and decided to give JJ’s a try. I am glad we did. Wings are by-the-pound, and they seem very generous. They come with a bar-b-que and a hot sauce that are both great. The fries were good as well. Not to mention, all their chicken comes with a white powder on top that I can imagine is their secret to success. If you want extra, it is referred to as «crack powder.» No joke… this garlic-salt-like powder really put the wings right over the top. Pair that with some good fries, reasonable prices, grape soda 2-liters, and endless specials, and you have yourself a good, fast meal!
